The episode was hilarious and lighthearted, I just needed something like that in my life after the past few crazy days! I like that Shamy were  actually  working on a project together! Even in the previews I liked Amy in scientist-mode, she was so efficient in her job but also very excited the experiment was producing such amazing results. Sheldon was, as always when something he wants happens, over the top with his reactions, but I liked so much the proud smiles Amy had on her face when she was checking the brain cells at the microscope. The parallel between the neural network and Bernie's baby was brilliant and hilarious, too; for sure Sheldon one day will be a very proud dad of some benign overlord, he really defended his "creature" with all his heart and was blind to all its defects, LOL! Then the seduction part...well, Sheldon mustn't have been so oblivious about sex all these years, he really must have made attention somehow...he knew all the "basics", LOL! First he tries to seduce Amy with a "bend and snap" move, then he goes with roses, candles, smooth jazz, pheromones, oysters and some killer glances that I don't understand how Amy can ignore, LOL!! Finally the flamenco dance indeed works, even if Amy self-control is admirable. To quote her "That was really close!!!" and damn hot!!! Sheldon loves and desires Amy so much, the idea of the baby was just an excuse, it was just that all that "science" had turn him on immensely.

What I like in this episode (apart from the obvious things related to JP's bottom, LOL!!!) as well as in the previous one, is that it is overturning the paradigms Shamy's relationship has been depicted most of the times. In general, it's Sheldon doing a stupid thing and Amy being the mature and "straight" man in the couple, while in 10.7, it's her turn to do something wrong,  in such a innocent and self-accusatory way you can't help loving her for that, in the same way you can't help loving Sheldon and his shenanigans...Now, in general it's Amy who wants something "more" out of the relationship, even things Sheldon is not ready for, and in 10.8 we see Sheldon doing whatever he can to convince her to have a baby, and her (and her egg) retracting as fast as they can...It's interesting and refreshing.

You don't have to go to school as a child to get good qualifications. My neighbour has two post-graduate degrees and didn't go to school. She home-taught  her own son and he's taking his PhD now.

If there is a school the gang can send them to, where bright, gifted children are encouraged and like to be together urging one another on, yes, that would be super ! I'd imagined Howard and Amy teaching them all, but the right kind of school would be ideal.

Mayim said on her site that neuroscience is virtually impossible to go back to. My goddaughter who is a Cambridge neuroscientist confirmed this. There'd be nobody more expert on developing  a child's brain anyway, so Amy might as well do it herself, was my thinking on the home teaching. If there was a job she could do to pay for such a super school and the child was happy, however, that would work out well all round. Sheldon would be comparing grades with the other guys' children's.

Amy will be the one who'll lose her career since scientists can't take time off from a neuroscience and go back because of the pace of its progress. So, Amy might as well supervise her own children's brain development as there isn't a more expert pair of hands to leave them in. I wonder what new line she'd turn to when the time came to go back to work. She's so brainy and skilled.

Yes, it would be funny if all the gang's children shone at liberal arts and sport, hated science fiction and loved celebrity popular culture. Amy did remind Penny there were no guarantees.

I'd like to see enough seasons so that we see how the children turn out, just as we saw Frederick Crane. Somehow though, I don't think we're going to get another series with as many seasons as Frasier brought us.

What glorious way of starting my mourning! Arent we the luckiest shippers on Earth?

Oh my godness, where may I start? There are so many wonderful shamy moments, some hilarious and others so cute!

*Lab scenes. I just loved to see Sheldon and Amy working together in lab, I have really missed that and the science field is their element indeed, it is so great how it has a meanigful role in their lives, even in a sexual way, specially to Sheldon. lol! Amy's proud as she saw the cells on microscope was so great, she has a special bright on her eyes. And Sheldon's excitment? Even it was over the top as everything Sheldon gets excitted about, it was so great to see again how those two are really in love with their minds, since always. Now their bodies have too something to say about it, lol!

*Amy's face as Sheldon said for they make a baby. He even didnt want to strip the clothes, oh my goodness, lol!

*Bend and snap Sheldon, wow! The man really knows he has an attractive ass, lol! Jim is really an attractive guy, okay, I just said it loud here, lol!

*Sheldon knew Amy was ovulating and I think she didnt know, lol! I can really see Sheldon noticing things like that.

* I loved shamy and Bernie scene at 4B . It was so home's, I mean, they have their frieds at their place nice and quietly, and they even miss meals at 4A, as they might have prefered meals by themselves at their place once in a a while. I just love how this all La thing has been working for our beloved couple!

* Sheldon comparing his and Amy's "baby" with Bernie's , he is adorably impossible, lol! Am I the only that thought it was kind of preparing us that shamy might have a baby ? What I most liked about this was that Sheldon has potencial for be a proud father of his children. The pre school tip was nice, he might be a worried father for his children have all chances about education and also about thecnology and all.

 *Back to seducing Sheldon....he really made a reasearch, hehe! I think he realy got it right with the exception of the deer smell. I could do witout that but well, there is not perfect storylines

 *Sheldon's voice was hot, Amy, tell me how you resisted to that? I know, he was seeking sex for the wrong reasons. But still...I would fail miserably, lol! 

* "Do you want pet something"? Again, I love Amy even more than I love before. What a remarkable self control, kid!

* I 'd say that my favourite sexy Sheldon moment was when he stood up, got close to Amy slowly and kind of tower her over. The closeness, the height diferences and his voice, man! And he even wasnt trying to be sexy, know what I mean?

* Amy has really been making Sheldon a perfect functional boyfriend. I love her proud tone as she said that to Bernie and his happy look at her. What she didnt know yet was how functional he  was getting, lol!!

* Amy 's comment on Bernadette's baby finding the exit, it was gold! Amy is really a precious thing. No wonder how good she has done to our Shelly

* One of my bigger fears about this episode was the baby thing, I mean, how it would be told the Sheldon's wish for procreating. It really made total sense, as he usually overreacts about things he get excitted about and the all cells combining experiment was one of them. I think it was great to see that Sheldon now is willing to do all things as all couplesdo  as he included the making a baby thing as something they would do in a traditional way and not in a in vitro way. Amy's refuse made all sense and it had nothing with lack of contraception options as it was hinted after tr came out. They would eventually  decide to build a family oneday but first they would live their time together, married or not, emotionally and physically until the day they would be ready for being parents.

* I loved, love  the way Amy was panting for Sheldon in the end. It was needed to see the girl was aroused after all those sexy attempts from her boyfriend, lol!  Sheldon's dancing ...since season 4 that they have a thing with dance! Love when the writers connect all shamy details since the begining and everything makes sense

* Sheldon has been growing well into a fuctional boyfriend but he is still so clueless about some things, like Amy's reasons for refusing him,lol. But I think it is one of his sweetest things, I like it. And I think Amy does as well

My apologies for this got really big, lol! Every week is getting harder to get over of all shamy goodness that writers have been offering us. Keep it up!

I wonder how was sleeping time in that night, cant get over that tag scene, lol!

1) Amy talked with Sheldon because she refused him and they eventually slept together ,as he might have got he was overreacting. But she made clear to him that wasnt about she would not want to be physically with him soon. A honest shamy talk as we know always work

2)Sheldon had to sleep on couch as Amy locked the bedroom 's door, lol!

3) Sheldon eventually tried again as  he went back to their apartment and Amy was who slept on couch, lol!

Sometimes I wish that could be a show with off screen moments!

Dear Lord, what an episode that was! I can't get over this episode,  my heart beat still skips beats and my cheeks burn because of all the sweet goodies we got.

It was great to see them back in the lab working together since Sheldon's vacation solution dilemma. He was so cute when he got excited over some cells of them. But what really melted my heart, was when he was showing Bernie what they created in lab, he was such a proud parent in that moment and the way how he compared their creation with Bernie's baby was so Sheldon. He definitely likes the idea that they really could create a human being that smarter than everyone else. I'm sure that he will celebrate every little  achievement of his child no matter if it is still an embryo or a complete living human being, contemplating it with Vegetation, Love and proud, while Amy asks him to give their child a rest. LOL

And then came his seduce attack....

I thought that Sheldon couldn't get any hotter when he was sitting on that chair, all cool, talking in that calm, sexy tone that I love so much, but then he stood up and walked slowly towards, raising to his full height, looking down on her, while he asked her in a deep alluring voice : "Do you want to pet something?" (Boy, that scene aroused me so much, the combination of building up in front of her and the way he talked to her in that sexy deep voice gave me goose and when the camera changed to show his back, and the way how he put his hand into his pocket, while he turned slightly gave me goose pimples everywhere. If I were Amy this would have been the moment when I would have given in, saying "You already know the answer" before I would have kissed him passionately, while I would have unbuttened his Shirt (or just ripped it off his body), while I would have stumbled backwards with him to the couch.

I can totally understand that Amy was out of breath after his flamenco dance, I love when he dances and shows how passionate he can be. 

Oh and I loved the way he leaned forward to pick up the pen, so Amy could enjoy the sight of his posterior. (Oh Sheldon you are pure "sex on a stick") 

Now if you excuse me I have to brush my teeth. It might take a while.

Good morning, fellow Shamies! OH WHAT A GLORIOUS EPISODE!!! That was so much fun!!!

As usual, Shamy thoughts:

- I love it when Shamy are all into their science projects! Caltech's science power couple at work - YASSSSS!! On a scale of 1 to 10 how cute are they? ELEVEN!! <3

- And Amy is clearly the boss here knowing what's going on and what to do. And even though he's a bit out of his element I love how Sheldon is just so into this project. And it's such a nice callback to their first summer coming up with the idea of a petri dish baby. I love how we've come full circle!

- Sheldon is instantly slipping into "proud dad" mode. OMG when they'll actually have children he'll be the most obnoxious competitive father ever - I love it! HAHAHAHAHa

- I love how they had Bernie over for tea cause let's be real she's probably the only one of the gang understanding that experiment. I always love Amy and Bernie being science gal pals and I really like that little blossoming friendship between Bernie and Sheldon (9x04/9x22). The way he's instantly comparing their project to her baby and they try to one up each other is so funny. LOL

- "Well, I turned this one into a functioning boyfriend so sky's the limit!" LOL Oh Amy! Their little smiles are so cute! <3

- LOL Sheldon said the s-word instead of coitus!

- So what's the next step? Amy: "Let's do more science!" Sheldon: "No, let's do the dance with no pants!" LOL Amy WTF face is the best. OMG

- And no matter how much this is framed as "Sheldon just wants to procreate" I won't believe that this isn't because he's randy as hell cause there's no need for this urgency in form of a quickie in the lab. If you seriously want a baby you plan ahead - especially those two who love preparedness and everything. Heck, they could go back to their petri dish plan from S4. But no, he wants to drop his pants and do it immediately - make a baby the old school way! Yeah sure, tell me again how that crackpot idea is not caused by blood rushing from his brain to other parts of his body. LOL

- "Wow, I can actually feel the egg crawling its way back up!" Her comebacks are the best. LOL

- As said yesterday: Nice ass, Dr. Cooper! The little extra wiggle was killing me! LMAO

- Amy on the stairs with Lenny was great, too. On one hand you get a sense of how much this freaked her out, on the other she's defending him because he's the one she loves. awwwww <3

- The reactions to the rose petals - Amy's "AWW MAN!" and Penny's "Sheldon's gonna get some!" (always the Shamy shipper!) - were too funny! LMAO

- Sheldon in Cosmic Casanova mode is everything. OMG How can this guy be so sexy and ridiculous at the same time!?!?? Stupid sexy Parsons! He sure did this homework and dug up every cliché he could find and the result is so over the top I love it! The rose petals, the candles, the music, the brandy, the oysters, the musky scent, the whole outfit. "Anything you'd like to pet?" LOL

- I am loving that this evidently isn't what Amy finds sexy. For years we had these vague demands of romance looming over the relationship and maybe for a long time she thought that's what she wanted because that's what everyone told her a relationship should be like. But with the breakup what got her to want him back? Having a nice quirky day at the aquarium. So no, clichéd kitschy romance is not what she's in for and it's confirmed here by her. That isn't to say she's totally anti-romance now or whatever, but I'm sure she prefers it a bit dialled back and more quirky. Which brings us to:

- THE DANCE! OMG #DEAD The reactions where gold. I loved how after everything seeing him doing this pretty ridiculous dance performance almost broke her resolve. LOL

Other things:

- Bless Jim Parsons and his physical comedy. Also thanks for working out, dude! lol

- I think someone else pointed out that Mayim probably had the most screen time in this episode sharing every scene with either Jim or Johnny/Kaley. Go Amy! <3

- As @mirs1 already said, it's so great to see the tables turned with those two. For years their dynamic has been a bit in a rut and things have improved after the breakup. But ever since they are living together there's been an even more noticeable shift of the scales and I love it so much! It's refreshing to see them both so dedicated to this relationship - even with hilarious results for us, naturally. LOL

Overall a fluffy, light-hearted at times, silly but funny episode. It didn't hit the heights of last week's episode for me but it did have some great and funny moments especially for Shamy. I hope it provided some nice comedic relief after a rough few days especially for those US based Shamy's.

I LOVED the science lab scenes, Science Amy is a large part why she is my favorite character on the show so to see it again after a while was fantastic. It was kind of like seeing an old friend that you haven't seen for some time, i just felt really happy seeing it again.

Enjoyed seeing Shamy and Bernadette in 4B. It became pretty obvious during that scene to Amy and the viewers that Sheldon was starting to take it to extremes and getting way overexcited lol. The functional boyfriend line was great and they looked so proud when she said it. Bernie was so spot during that conversation when they were trying to compare the situations. Absolutely saw this scene being the one that put the idea of having a child and taking creation to the next 'ultimate' level in Sheldon's mind.

The yearly thing clearly isn't set in stone judging from Sheldon's behaviour in the lab, sure having sex would have been for the wrong reasons at that moment and both were clearly not on the same page but Sheldon is clearly up for it before her birthday.

How Amy managed to resist who knows, it must have been a great internal struggle LOL. But she did the right thing, clearly she saw he was overreacting to the cell experiment, the whole concept of creation and she knows they both aren't ready for children especially not for the reasons in this episode. Well done Amy for standing your ground, though it must have been hard lol. I think had there been no talk of children she probably would have succumbed to his seduction attempts lol.

Jim's physical acting was so funny. There must be plenty of bloopers from this episode where they cracked up laughing filming some of these scenes, it probably was a nice change of acting pace for him I would have thought.

First living together and now bringing up the talk of children I think is likely pointing to an engagement sooner rather than later. They both seem really happy in their environment right now and we both know that they want children at some point just not right now. Sheldon has his overreaction moment to a new experience or idea but it looks like he got that out of his system and when they have coitus 2.0 most likely in the next few episodes it will be for the right reasons and both will be on the same page.

Good episode with a lot of funny moments.

Wow !!! How amazing & funny was that episode !!!!

I have to start with the extra hot Mr Parsons !!!! He did such an amazing job this week , Sheldon was fabulous & ridiculous all at the same time , and have I mentioned very hot !!!!!! Amy you have some self control girl !

I'll not repeat everything you guys have already said - @boys3allc , @mirs1, @april & @spidergirl ( can't tag you two for some reason !!) you all hit the nail on the head for me.  We are so lucky this season , I really feel our adorable couple are so strong and really are now on the same page with regard to virtually everything , I love how far the writers have had them both come while still retaining all of the quirks and adorkablness that made me adore them in the first place !!! I'm think sexy times are ahead #forlust not #forscience !!! I'm away to watch for a second time ...........#forscience

I think Sheldon being randy, horny etc did play a part in this episode especially when it came to the seduction attempts. Going back over my previous post I probably didn't make that clear enough. I mean no I don't think it was the 'primary' motivator for the behaviour in this episode but at the same time it would be foolish to dismiss it as a contributing factor entirely. I suspect there were so many thoughts, desires, subconscious urges and ideas going through Sheldon's head at that point.

I just wanted to get that out there before anyone thinks I didn't consider it or believed it played no part in it.

It's permanent, though that scene in last weeks episode went over a lot of peoples heads judging from comments on social media and places like YouTube.

Maybe the more they decorate 4B with personal items from both Sheldon and Amy it will register in people's minds more. Or maybe if they give it a full redecorating at some point.

Something small in this episode but they had that dialogue about putting up a piece of paper on their fridge at home related to their creation and they both looked really happy about that. 4B seems very much like their home now and that will only increase.

Loved Shamy plot in the episode! My favorite moments:

- the whole parallel between Shamy experiment and having a baby: I especially loved Sheldon suggesting exposing brain cells to images of them to see which one it likes better ("She's the mean one, I'm the fun one" LOL!), Bernie's line about tiny Flash T-shirt (that was really cute) and Sheldon vs. Bernie on which creation is better (Sheldon as competitive dad :D).

- Sheldon's look at Amy after suggesting what's coming next Loved the funny twist here: Amy thinks science while Sheldon is ready to pounce on Amy right there, right now.

- it's already been mentioned - a moment after "Anything you'd like to pet?" where Sheldon stands really close to Amy and the way he looks at her there... sooo hot!

- LOL Sheldon wanted to serve oysters... Well, we know why

 

I wonder how it was sorted between them when they went to bed that night after Amy explained calmly and rationally that she's not ready to have a child right now. Something like this came to mind:

Amy: Thank you for understanding.

Sheldon: No problem, sorry for pressuring you earlier.

Amy: Good night.

Sheldon: Good night.

Moment of silence...

Amy: Sheldon?

Sheldon: Yeah?

Amy: Get your hands off my butt.

Yesterday, as you might know, Mayim had a Facebook Live Chat (which was very funny) and, among other more "serious" stuff, somebody asked her about Amy's and Penny's painting which should still be hanged in 4B forth wall. I really couldn't understand what she answered, because the internet connection at Warner Bros studios was really bad and the video was buffering all the time, but somebody in the DT yesterday mentioned Mayim said it will feature in a future episode (I guess 10.10, since the actors know nothing but the episode they are working on). So, take that with a whole bucket load of salt, because it was really difficult to understand her words, but there's the possibility that in 10.10 Shamy could be dealing with renovations, or at least get rid of some of the Penny's items still in 4B. That would be so hilarious to see how Penny and Leonard would react if Amy or Sheldon enter in 4A with that horror!!!

So, take that with a whole bucket load of salt, because it was really difficult to understand her words, but there's the possibility that in 10.10 Shamy could be dealing with renovations, or at least get rid of some of the Penny's items still in 4B. That would be so hilarious to see how Penny and Leonard would react if Amy or Sheldon enter in 4A with that horror!!!

Oh I'm so excited to see them re decorate & can imagine deciding what to keep , throw out etc could provide lots of comedy ......especially that painting haha !!

I'm sure Sheldon's first comment when they stumble into 4a with that monstrous painting will be : "We are  giving you back this brobdingnagian painting. And this is the bill from the chiropractor I had to consult when I threw out my back when I tried to lift up that enormous thing on my own for the first time."

Interesting, it has been a long time since I watched that episode when she got that painting. Correct me if I am wrong but in the end Penny used the excuse that Bernadette was jealous of it as to why she didn't like it? Though surely Amy deep down wasn't fooled by that?

Presumably Amy is going to want Penny to have it in 4A as it was a gift? Whatever idea they have for it it will be good to see it again and if it happens it could potentially be very funny. Will Sheldon also be hanging up the Fake Shatner/Lenny sex painting up as well lol? Assuming in the end they gave it to him lol
