Ugh Adhesive Duck vs Earworm is just cruel, Adhesive Duck is my fav Sheldon/Penny episode ever... Obviously Earworm is my fav episode in the whole series, so ; ) But I wish we didn't have to choose between them!

Opening night vs Prom next round, I can see a lot of people struggling to pick that round.

Well, in the "real" world it doesn't make any sense, but maybe in "TBBT world" (to quote Molaro...) the writers can take some poetic license and find a way to make Sheldon's love life part of the movie (the documentary's title is "For the love of Spock", maybe that's the trick...)  even if, of course, it is not  nor it should\could be in the "real" documentary. Anyway, I guess we'll find out soon enough, the movie's premiere is at the beginning of September, of course TBBT will be late for it (the first episode is on September 19), but for being of any use to advertise the documentary I think it will be part of one of the very early episodes; moreover, Molaro seemed to me pretty sure about the documentary as a plot for TBBT, it didn't seem just an idea floating around in the writers room, which suggests me that the writers are already working on the script of the episode featuring it.

All they have to do is put up  screen saying, ' THREE WEEKS EARLIER 'and then fast forward to the present day.

That's not what I meant.  The purpose of mentioning the movie is (also) to advertise it for their audience to watch it. If they mention the documentary in a December episode (let's say) it won't be in theaters any more, that's why I think it will be featured in an early episode. They will catch up in real time as long as the first part of the season goes by, to update Bernie's pregnancy, so it's reasonable that by Episode 2 or 3 they are in September.

Top Ten Shamy Moments

Ok, here is some background on this.  The point system I used, was just making the the top selection (the number one moment), for each list worth 10 points.  The second was worth 9 points, the third worth 8, etc.   To break ties, I used another system (basically the Gran Prix (F1) point system).  This give more points to those ranked higher.   There were two ties on the Lenny list, none on the Shamy list.

Some specifics about the lists.   There were 14 entries for Shamy, 12 for Lenny.    For Lenny, there were three different scenes that tied with two votes for the number one moment (the other six lists had different moments as their number one).  For Shamy, for the top scene, there were five votes for the number one moment.  Another scene had two votes for the top moment, and there were seven other scenes that got one vote for the top moment.

Looking at total individual votes, for Shamy, (with 14 votes remember) there were two scenes tied with 12 total votes, neither one finished at number one.  Number one had 11 votes.  for Lenny (with 12 votes remember) there were two scenes with 11 votes, one of which was the number one moment.

I'll have the number 10 moment up in a few minutes.

Nice moment between them, with Amy trying to have a bit of fun to cheer up a Sheldon once again feeling left out. But Amy was probably the winner in that she managed to coax Sheldon into having a boy/girl sleepover and temporarily bending the rigid RA. My favorite part of that scene was probably when Amy revealed she had some stuff packed away in case a stay over happened and the fact she has more than one stashed in 4A. If the writers have any sense they have got to make a reference to this again in the future.

Just the way Sheldon looks at her is priceless:

I'm hoping to see the day that Sheldon cleans out a drawer for her to stash her overnight items in. <3

Which begs the question, when did they last wash the slip cover on that chair?

I can suspend my disbelief but not that much because to me the poetic license the writers would have to take for this would be quite silly and sloppy. As you said though we'll find out soon enough.

The joke in the episode was that all of it would be in the documentary but then again that could just be WW trolling a bit and, as said before, in universe they could have Adam Nimoy edit the part to tailor it for the story they want to tell.

Realistically, I'd think the parts that might be most interesting for the documentary would be Sheldon recounting how emulating Spock helped him coping with the childhood bullying and how the signed napkin is one of his most treasured possessions. The emotional outburst I can easily see being cut (or at least I would cut it if I had to edit it for a documentary). The other things in the box including ring could still be in it as well (I'd cut after Sheldon presents the ring and before Penny's "WHAT?!?"). But again, that's just how I'd do it.

I can easily imagine a story where the Spockumentary's release is announced and Sheldon tries to find out what parts of his interview are in it. And depending on that (with outburst? without outburst but with ring? without outburst and without ring?) he'd be reacting accordingly. Maybe he's worried what Amy might think. Maybe he tries to bargain with Adam to keep certain parts out. Or maybe he uses the opportunity to plan something special...? Either way though I can see a scene with the gang at some special screening and when his part comes up Sheldon excuses himself much to Amy's surprise. Depending on what path they go down it could be that Amy then sees his interview part and realises what's going on so she goes outside and finds Sheldon and they have a nice heart-to-heart talk. Alternatively if Sheldon has something planned the screening could pause as the part where he shows the ring into the camera and then comes out with the ring in hand and proposes. It would be a bit over the top for Sheldon but maybe he'd think Amy would love such a big hippie dippy proposal or something. Plus, the show hasn't had a big proposal like that (the others were fairly private affairs) so maybe the writers would find a fun way to do it like that???

Idk, just throwing out some ideas...

The way I see it this could go three ways: 1) Depending on what will be included in the documentary, he'll have a conversation about it with Amy, 2) He'll use the documentary to plan a proposal or 3) No one is going to utter a word about Sheldon or this incident.

ETA: I don't expect the whole footage to be edited out, just the parts with Sheldon's outburst. The rest where he talks about emulating Spock as a child could make for a nice conversation with Amy.

Exactly. Either way though I'd think there's a lot of potential for a great Shamy story that'll bring them closer in some way. So I'm not particularly worried about the outcome cause I can only see good things coming from this.

And I'm also not worried about how they handle it. I do think that in the past and even more so in S9 the writers have proven that they handle those Shamy moments with a lot of care. So even if the story gets a bit of a dramatic turn in some form I'm sure they'll write it as a tender moment between the two like they did with so many other scenes.

Great moment and one of my all time favorites on the show. Mayim was absolutely brilliant in this scene, the comedic delivery and timing was superb.

When will we next see the Tiara I wonder? Lenny's re-do? Her own wedding? It's one of the truly iconic items on this show for me.

I can't believe it's been more than two seasons since we saw the tiara, I miss Amy's look on her face when she has it on!!! She wore it as a maid of honour for Howardette's wedding, so I think it's more than possible she wears it again for Lenny's redo. It's a given, she will wear it for hew own wedding, since it's a gift from Sheldon. Anyway, a tiara is not too much for Amy!

I vote Amy lends the tiara to Penny and/or Mary for 'something borrowed'.

I wanted to include both Blanket fort and the Tiara moments in my top 10 but couldn't, Im happy they made it into overall top10 regardless!! Esp the tiara <3 Not only cute/adorable but so hilarious!
I love how Penny was so happy for Amy as well

Blanket fort is still super cute, but after s9 where Shelon is this Sheldon 2.0 I kinda don't feel anymore Sheldon not objecting to a sleepover is as monumental as it used to feel a year ago...
