First mention of a possible engagement for a while and interesting to get Amy's take on it. She obviously knows about the ring and it's the first real indication that she is wondering when is it going to happen. I wouldn't say she sounds annoyed or frustrated from the TR but clearly it sounds like she wants it to happen sooner rather than later. Though that whole conversation also could be Amy just trying to say something to relate to Penny's comment about a lack of progress I guess when she was talking about owning a home and was trying to make Penny feel better. I'm so freaking happy because literally yesterday afternoon after watching the latest video of Jim working out that his trainer posted (holy crap those arms tho, kill me) I thought to myself, "God, please let there be at least one shirtless Sheldon scene before the end of the show." And we got it!! I mean, sweating, pouring water over his head.. IN SLOW MOTION I know a lot of us were hoping for a proposal, but IT'S CLEARLY COMING. They are dropping major hints right now with Amy getting upset that she's not engaged yet. Girl, it's happening soon. I'm honestly so happy to hear her vocalize that she really wants to be engaged. Like Kerry said in the other thread, it's been a while since we've heard her express that she wants to marry Sheldon. Which is a good thing because it means she's happy with where they are right now. However, they're definitely ready to be engaged. They're in the best place they've EVER been, and there's really no point in waiting. They want to marry each other. It's pretty stinkin obvious. ETA: Also, I just can't get enough of this domestic Shamy, too. Seeing them in bed together, in the bathroom together. How f*cking adorable is that??? Got to think the writers are planning something on that front for them to bring up the ring again. yep, its on the coattails of Penny's complaining....I mean in Amy's eyes Penny has had multiple engagements/weddings/etc....so woe is me, I cannot even get 1 engagement and we've been living together blissfully for a while now...she probably expected it to happen soon after (and do you blame her)...but in time sweetie...At least we know she's still a def YES (although we never thought otherwise). I think Penny just doesn't know what she wants. Last year she wanted her youth...now she's sorta jealous of Bernadette...she wants her own house. has a good paying job yet complains about it.....sounds like Penny is headed to go awall....NOW if season 11 ends SHE may be the one to go nuts....if season 10 is the end, they can wrap that arc up BUT as a viewer I like where this could be going. And I think it was Chuck or Steve who said there was more work to be done with the Penny character so its a real limbo there. But the payoff could be sweet and how cute of Sheldon to eagerly want to share the train experience with only Amy (to an annoying degree). I guess knowing about the ring especially for a long time it's only natural she will wonder why hasn't it happened yet. But they have made a lot of 'commitment progress' recently especially with them now living together so I am not worried at all. If Amy was still living in her own apartment, Sheldon in 4A still with Lenny then Amy probably would be more concerned about commitment issues rearing its head once again and perhaps the engagement or lack of might be a bigger issue. I saw this more as the writers trying to find a way to drop in that Shamy clearly aren't engaged yet but it's still very much a thing that will happen, and also that Amy clearly wants to get married. I don't think Amy is unhappy in the slightest, but since Penny was complaining about her life the normal thing for a girlfriend to do is to join in and share some kind of deficit in her life as well. I thought in the mist of a Lenny fight, Sheldon comments, Leonard tells him to butt out he isn't even married, to which Sheldon says he could be, and Leonard says "well then why aren't you".....dum dum dum.... As someone said it could be in therms of supporting Penny who was complaining about her marriage and also to show Amy thinks about the ring and mainly she really wants to marry Sheldon . I hope we can get from Sheldon something alike soon, even we know the man can't live without his Amy. This season has had a great evolution of the way shamy became more intimate with each other as they started live together and a proposal fits as they now are sure , for be happy, they want and need be together. Imo the proposal is around the corner, maybe the contracts negotiations have the last word if it is going to happen this season or in a next one. Whenever it happens, this fan here needs a tissue because it will be a hearted moment for I have waited so long. This taping was false alarm,lol! Many times I wondered how writers could develop Sheldon into a more passionate boyfriend and they have been outstanding themselves this season. It has been amazing as much Sheldon gets into display of affection, more it seems it was always in the character, I mean, the growth of him as he bonded more with Amy seems something really inhereted, you know. After the tag scene where Sheldon lifted Howard, I thought I could not enjoy other tag scene more. Fortunately for what was in tr of last night taping, I was wrong! Oh my gosh, between the kiss we're getting in the next episode, and all the goodness before, and now Amy's fantasy, with Sheldon (in real life) eagerly wanting the caboose, these two kids are into each other. (hope you don't mind me bringing this here) THIS! I also love that with the fantasy in the end we finally get a bit more balance on that "they want each other" thing again outside of birthday arrangements. I mean, much of the season earlier was making a point of Sheldon being the one who got all hot and bothered while Amy was the one turning him down. Now we get a bit of Amy's side of things again with her fantasising about her man clearly being very much into him. I guess it's also a clever way of getting away showing off Jim's hard work while still kinda sorta pretending that Sheldon is not exactly that packed. I think it is time boys try to respect more Sheldon contribution to the project as he has been changing to a more mature man. Course he will always be quirky in some ways but to not follow the clever things Sheldon knows or could offer in a group project just because it is from Sheldon, it is a thing to change imo. It would be amazing to see Leonard and Howard growing about their interactions with Sheldon who has not been afraid to try to improve himself since he reunited with Amy. I agree, I'm happy Sheldon figured the maths of the project out, actually he did so well that it was possible to build an even smaller prototype. With all the focus (not that I'm complaining about it) about his personal life and his efforts to improve his communication skills with others, we didn't see him working a lot and, above all, we didn't see him succeed at work. I also like that, from the sound of the TR, he didn't care so much abut his success, because he was fully committed in his passion for trains.
