April Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 I don't even know where to start with this cause Shamy were just perfect in every scene. I love these two so much!! <3 I really appreciate how sincere the show handled Sheldon's issue here. We saw glimpses of that in the past but usually it's more along the lines of flippant comments for humour (see the car scene in 10x12 for comparison). So to finally have an episode that dives into this a little deeper and doesn't shy away from showing how it's really a struggle for him was very satisfying for me. I loved how they used the emotion detector - I'm always a sucker for Shamy doing science experiments. And the both of them being a bit gleeful over how well it works in the 4A scene was hilarious. And in general, as others have mentioned, there were so in sync this episode with their reactions to their friends' mocking. Again, I can't help but wonder if one day they'll have enough of that. The bedroom scene was wonderful. I always love those tender moments when they're allowed to expose their vulnerable side and both Sheldon's frustrations with himself(!) and Amy comforting him were so lovely and heartfelt. I really enjoyed how the ILY and kiss turned out. Hearing Amy say "I love you exactly the way you are." should hopefully put an end to the idea that she just wants him to change or whatever. It also makes such a nice companion scene to the "I like you, quirks and all" from earlier seasons. <3 I'm not sure what to make of Amy's line about her father. Without knowing anything about the man it's hard to make it fit the context. I guess it could simply be a cheap shot at the "daddy issues" trope you see all too often (even in this show) but it's hard to tell. Sheldon getting an apology was really sweet as well. His "Yes! I don't need an emotion machine. I AM ONE!" cracked me up. LOL Also, saw the promo for next week - I can't wait for that one!
