You tease . I love the picture he seems to be really solid. I need to see more to confirm this. He is totally buff. Not sure he is qualified to fit under the lanky label. If I were the director I would have told him to now take the overall straps off and stay like that for awhile. Yep. Just like that while we take some more still shots. Nope, we are not done filming. We will need quite a few more takes while I decide which pose will fit my fant...errr Amy's fantasy best. I may have not lasted long as a director per say. But I would be a happy camper.

When I was younger, I wore overalls and my friends claimed I looked like a farmer.  Anyways, lets get back on topic.

The final minutes were so epic that I almost bumped up the episode grade. Amy has a daydream about Sheldon all sweaty and dirty as a train conductor. Having a shirtless Sheldon douse himself with a full bottle of water to Scorpions’ “Rock Me Like a Hurricane” was brilliant. In so many ways. Jim Parsons’ arms definitely deserve an Emmy nod.

I'll have to see the episode to really know, however I think the conflict comes from everyone knowing about it and not so much the quantity, Amy hasn't complained about that specifically. One of the bitter things Amy has learned being part of a social circle, is that not everyone will be accepting of your life choices. It's possible she fears people will now give her grief about it. Friends are one thing but coworkers...

It could possibly stem back to 9x03, how happy/surprised she was to learn she was popular at the university. Now she's probably imagining all of that going away. She's finally more than just a "mousy wall flower" and now she'll be seen as desperate enough to accept such an arrangement (I personally don't see her that way BTW) 

If it turns out she is unhappy...well with Shamy clearly working on communication and hinted sexual tension in the latest TR, I'm not that worried. Either way it will be an interesting look at her psyche. And if this all leads to a discussing or a hilarious sudden tumble in the sheets, bring it on!

My problem is believability and it's wearing thin real quick.  They live together now.  They sleep together now.  And as comfortable as they seemed to be with their second time, there's been some serious make out and petting sessions.  That stop every damn time for some odd reason.  Why would you stop if you enjoyed it more than you thought you would?  

I can buy into the fact they waited until her birthday to do it a second time because of his love of contracts and to him, I can see him thinking of it as a verbal one.  I wasn't happy about it but ok, I can buy it.  Fine.  But he was willing to throw that all out the window at one point and even tried to seduce her.  And when the day finally came, what does he do?  He sits on that bed wide awake waiting for that stroke of midnight.  It's now probably our time in mid February.  2 months.  Tick tock

Maybe that's what we are leading up to....Amy wishing for more from Sheldon in tonight's episode, Amy's despair that everyone know's about their "arrangement" in the next episode.  Maybe they are laying the groundwork for a change in that part of the dynamic in their relationship.

We're operating under the assumption that the writers intend to change the once a year thing. Maybe it's time to consider they might not. I mean, it's been more than a season and we're in the second half now and there are only seven episodes left to tape. Personally I'm done counting down the episodes and hoping that tptb are hinting towards a change. Not going there again.

And if they continue with that pathetic once a year joke after everything we've heard and scene....just to throw cold water  on it and have it make no sense.

I was sad for her.  I don't know that we've ever seen her teary like that. Then the preview for next week made  me even sadder for her, with clueless Sheldon talking about their sex life.  Poor Amy. I definitely felt like she thinks he has forgotten about marriage

I thought it was an amazing episode...one of my favorites yet.

My prediction

I can only say that you don't get to the end of the book without the chapters. The writers know how the book ends. All of these things you mention from the relationship agreement to the limited coitus agreement to living together, from Amy being sad and crying and then to hear gossip about their relationship next week is laying the foundation for the next chapters in the book. The next chapter after this is them getting all sexually aroused in the tag scene. The episode after that I am betting will be coitus unveiled with possible 1.Sheldon feeling guilty about living in sin as he expressed in TX or 2. Penny and Bernadette will tell Sheldon about ladies night and he decides the time has come. or 3. ( And this is only my opinion) That it inevitable that Shamy will get engaged. I have noticed parallel plots before but what if there is a link between the matrimonial discord of Penny and Leonard and an engagement of Amy and Sheldon. I think Sheldon is thinking about marriage and a conversation between Penny or Leonard or a mix of them will help Sheldon turn in this direction as well as spur Lenny to really consider why they married each other to begin with. True Love.

 That leaves an engagement for most likely the last episode. Unless you have a quickie wedding for the grande finale then engagement will be the second to last.  My bubble definitely has not been burst but rather clarified to see the bigger picture. I am glad I am not jumping to end of the book. I enjoy the stories.

Does anybody remember Sheldon's birthdate by the way? I seem to remember it near the star wars episode. Am I right about this?

And DAMN!!! Sheldon/Jim Parsons is smokin hot

IMO the tag scene was really funny. Add to this "Rock You Like A Hurricane", a song from my home country's own Scorpions, and you see me with a big grin in front of the screen.

That was the funniest episode in terms of comedy we had in a while for me, I had many LOL moments, at a very ungodly hour in my Country, so I might have waked my neighbors up!  Obviously the tag was, well...worth the wait, it was sexy and hilarious at the same time, it didn't play totally OOC (if Sheldon all in a sudden turned into a sexy model that would be pretty odd), but at the same time it was the hottest thing I've seen in the show. Thanks to @luminous and to all of you that today will fill this thread with gifs and pics, there is never too much shirtless Sheldon!

The scene in the parking lot played out much more serious than I thought for Amy; she seems really sad during it and worried that marriage is not in Sheldon's plans. That's such a delicate matter that I can understand it's difficult for her even broaching the subject. The ball in entirely in Sheldon's court now, since Amy already  knows he has a ring, she obviously thinks that if he hasn't given it to her, that means he doesn't feel it's time yet, so  it would be insensitive (and painful) for her to talk about it. I guess that was probably one of the reasons why the writers let Amy know about the ring. Hadn't she known about it, it would have been more plausible for her to do something to move her relationship forward, even proposing herself...That writing choice made all options but waiting for Sheldon to finally decide (or the writes decide, in this case) unavailable. Anyway, that scene was the only sad moment in the episode.

As for the once a year thing, I agree with @Judith, I have been waiting for a year for this agreement to change, and spent the second half of S. 9 reading the veiled sexual innuendos in the episodes as a hint that the writers were going to address the subject. But they didn't...so I have decided I am not going to do the same thing this season and I have more or less come to terms with it. It's not my favourite thing in the show, and frankly I would prefer that, if the writers consider it one of the many quirks Shamy have and don't want to change it, they don't mention it so often. Anyway, I've seen the promo of the next episode and I'm pretty curious to see Amy's reaction to the whole situation. I am under the impression that she is ok with the agreement (a daydream about your boyfriend is not any indication you are sexually frustrated, IMO), so it would be interested in seeing how it plays out.
