I agree that this season we might get a hell of a cliffhanger, which I hope will have nothing to do with Shamy. I'm hoping for the ring to show up, maybe in 10.23, since the second to last episode sometimes has been kind of a "season finale" for the Shamy plots (there have been many exceptions, of course); anyway, given the two years renewal, I'm not really counting on it... With the two year renewal will the writers be looking for a way to delay the proposal? I don't mean a break up ( OMG at least I hope not!! ) I was thinking maybe Amy gets offered the chance to head some kind of important research project which would mean moving to another State or something like that and the cliffhanger is " will she go? " Without something major happening I don't see how the engagement can't happen this season without it becoming ridiculous and even casual viewers questioning why. I wouldn't like a cliffhanger of this type, because it would imply Amy somehow being forced to choose between love and career, and this feels pretty wrong to me, especially since that choice was never an option for the male scientists in the show. Anyway, it's not that rare that people who work in science spend periods working in other universities or institutions, Sheldon shouldn't be that surprised or sad if such an opportunity is offered to Amy. Totaly agree! It would be so wrong, as love is one thing, career is other and both are important imo in a woman 's life and for Amy both are truly important undoubtedly! About a cliffie with shamy with the ring, the only option I see as the cliffie might be about the last scene we might see of the season finalle as Sheldon waiting for Amy's answer and it would be so mean for us, lol! Well, she would say yes anyway, so it would be a half cliffie, hehe! I still see a possibility of a cliffhanger for s10e24 but not with shamy. Let see what writers might come up about it . Probably something a little more "dramatic" could be the tag in S. 10 finale with Sheldon retrieving the ring from some drawer, contemplating it and caressing the box more or less as he did in S. 8 finale and saying something like "Should I ask Amy to merry me when she returns home?" April Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 I think it was last year around that time when we were also throwing around the idea for a cliffhanger ending with maybe Amy getting some science project or whatever that requires her to be away over the summer. Naturally, it would be handled much like the guys' excursions in the past cause no one wants to see Sheldon moping around for weeks and weeks. So not that much drama but maybe an opportunity for Sheldon to sort out his priorities. With that said though I think S10 already got to that point all on its own with them living together and all that. So at most something like that could finally make Sheldon pop the big question and I guess it would be nice for Amy to have some science achievement under her belt. But it wouldn't be a huge drama cliffhanger as such - which in and of itself wouldn't be the worst either. Also, we could look forward to a cute reunion scene. Ssshhhhh don't give them ideas!!!! a hell of cliffhanger would be if she was offered a position in another state and when she comes home to tell sheldon he has the apartment lit with candles and it's waiting on one knee (chandler and monica proposal style) she enters the apartament and the episode ends. I am totally against this type of a cliffhanger simply because it is too much like what they did with the guys, and those were all unqualified disasters. After Leonard kissing the girl on the boat and Sheldon getting mugged and left in his underwear I guess I just do not trust them to handle Amy going away for the summer with any sensibility. Anyway, this will be 10x19 - last year's 9x19 gave us a very tender Shamy story revolving around Sheldon's secret storage unit. Makes me wonder if we'll ever see or hear of that again? I would absolutely love if we get an update about that, especially since with the latest taping we found that the redecoration of 4B is seemingly not done yet, and it also cut the final tie to Sheldon's room in 4A which both would be a good enough excuse to bring up the storage again. Maybe Sheldon has made some progress in getting of some old stuff? Or we see Shamy sorting their stuff together? It would make such a good story! Oh well... I'm almost certain Sheldon's stuff would still be there as of 10x18 cause Lenny haven't actually done anything with the room, yet, as far as we know. The set designers surely had some time to think of something fun during this mini-hiatus, although most likely Raj will use what's already there. Admittedly, it will be weird to see Raj living in Sheldon's old room with the old furniture there. lol Now that the renewal seems more and more certain (fingers crossed for Mayim and Melissa settling their contracts soon!)
