I wonder if the producers would keep the fact that Mayim has signed the contract already as a secret, in order to make the cliffhanger more exciting.

Imagine we wouldn´t know if she has signed or not and the season ends with Amy leaving Pasadena to work in another state or not, without revealing when she comes back. I guess it´s not practicable, is it?

I had a terrible nightmare a few day ago. I dreamt that Amy had taken a flight to another state to attend a symposium. Then I saw Sheldon watching the News and hears that Amy´s plane crashed somewhere in the mountains and that no one survived. Fortunately I woke up but I didn´t dare to get back to sleep again that night.

damn i had the same only it was sheldon , sheldon was on his way to texas and Amy was worried and called mary and mary was crying and told her sheldon  died and amy told the gang and amy saids "now who is gonna father mom baby" and i woke up happy but crying

Oh don´t worry, I  don´t think the writers will make them break up again. I can´t see them getting new Partners either, they are in such a good place right now.

But the writers could tease us a different way. Imagine Amy gets an offer for a Project abroad for 6 months and decides to go. As Sheldon does not want her to go he decides to accompany her and they both depart. End Season 10. And when they come back in season 11, they Spill the beans that they married while they were abroad. But I hope that the writers don´t go that way either, otherwise they will have to fear the wrath of the whole Shamy fandom.

This may sound like needy baby greedy baby, but I want my Shamy fairytale wedding!

Sheldon really works at the table near the window; he has his computer, a pencil holder (no idea how you call it in English, LOL!), pencils and sheets over there...You know, it should be nice to work near that window, you can see some plants and sunshines on your math formulas, not that bad!

IMO, they are not going to keep anything secret once the entire deal is finalized.  They're going to want to generate as much press attention as they can out of a renewal announcement.  Also can you imagine them asking the cast not to spill the beans for 6 additional months?

in my nap (yes i take them) i dreamt Sheldon and Amy got married at comic con as spock and urtha (i think thats how you spell it ) and on their hunny more i pictured amy giving sheldon underwear that said "spock in the sheets kirk in the sheets" i found it in a fanfiction (i forgot which one) and we

to be fair, in that scene Amy was asleep but Sheldons restless behavior woke her up lol. amy im sure wouldve loved to have got a good nights sleep! but once awakened she was kind and not grumpy and helped sheldon understand the escape hatch issue

lol me too i watch past bbt interview so i can dream that i am part of the cast or on a show every thursday i dream sheldon is my boyfriend and amy is bestie (sorry for taking your man amy but he was my mine first lol) i also dream penny was not there (i don't like penny but love kaley)

Relax, I know we got burned badly in the season 8 finale with Shamy drama but there is no indication there is anything like that on the cards. There could be drama in the finale but I don't see Shamy being the couple that endures it this time around.

Best keeping an eye out on the next tapings, if they are setting up a dramatic season finale chances are there will be signs beforehand. So don't worry until you have something to actually worry about!

If you look through the Prequel thread this is actually the majority opinion on here. A few people are willing to give this a chance but overall nobody really wants to see li'l Shelly's childhood traumas.

Personally, I'm pleased with the casting choices but still sceptical about the execution. I probably would be more interested in Jim's original idea. Oh well...

I don't like the idea of a young Sheldon show neither. Just out of curiosity, what was Jim's original idea?

It started out as something more based on his nephew who is also a cute smart kid growing up in Texas. He brainstormed a bit with Lorre and Molaro about it and after a bit of back and forth it was like "hey, that kinda sounds like Sheldon - let's do that!" I think from Lorre and Molaro's point of view it's probably smart to tie it back to their most profitable IP (especially amidst contract negotiations seeing a chance to tie Jim into this) but personally I'd be more interested in a contemporary show about a kid like Sheldon but not a late 80's/early 90's period show about actual Sheldon. A show about a kid like Sheldon could have much more creative freedom and wouldn't mess with the character we have now.

The problem is it's already been done.  Malcolm in the Middle.  It was a very popular show.  I think it's going to come off as a "copy cat" of that show and people are going to reject it, thinking it's a "remake" or trying to "copy cat" something that was already done.  And there in lies the flop I think it will be.
