Shamy working together plays out so very differently than Sheldon and Raj. You'll all have to form your own opinions about the dialog. The thing that I enjoyed about the Shamy storyline was the way that Amy pushed back against Sheldon's attempts to dominate their working relationship, and the fact that it turned out to be just what he (and she) needed most to be successful. I think it ends up showing once again how well-suited those two are for one another.

I think most Shamy fans will enjoy this episode. With the way that they kind of argue and Sheldon makes rude remarks, I suspect a lot of non-Shamy fans might think we're all nuts for enjoying it though, lol.

 

Thanks so very much for the spoilers !!  Btw  doesn't Amy initially think that they should not insult each other and be cordial.....but it does not work and they have to throw all their calculations in the trash or something  ? 

I know I'm nuts for enjoying Shamy  and their intellectual snobbery,  arrogance and superiority. But I understand people who might not. 

I just hope they are not downright cruel or nasty to each other just for the sake of being obnoxious.  I like that it is grounded in intellectual  reasons. I don't want it to be crude like Sheldon/Leslie all over again. Lol. 

This isn't a social experiment so I really can't compare it to Herb Garden Germination. Funny thing is that I liked  Shamy in Herb Garden too,  even though they were nice to each other and not really fighting. LOL.

I can only go off the TR but I suspect a lot of fans (including some Shamy ones) will let perhaps some comments between them slide because it has a scientific merit to it. Clearly getting a little riled up let the creative juices flow lol.

If there was nothing gained from any barbs or snark in this example then I suspect people would think very differently about it. That's pretty much common sense.

So looking forward to this one, hoping that it perhaps might bring the show back up from the dip it has had recently in the latter part of this season imo. Certainly something different and an idea that a lot of fans have been calling for some time.

They tried Amy’s ultra-friendly collaboration plan first, and when that yielded poor results, they were both frustrated. Sheldon then aimed some of his frustration at Amy, which shouldn’t really come as much of a surprise to anyone. He’s rude in the way that you would probably expect from his character.

It’s possible that some won’t like their argument, but I was fine with it. Season 10 Amy didn’t just sit there and take it, she got to have an equal voice, and the back-and-forth nature of their little spat is why I chose to describe it as snark. It was also interrupted a few times by their various work-related epiphanies, and it didn’t take long for them to figure out that riling each other up was actually the thing that was helping them progress.

Ha !! Sounds very them !!
I was a wee bit worried I have to admit that it would be over the top meanness - but mutual snark that helps progress and that's only only reason for it is fine !!
Do you get to see them be nice to each other again after or cute without any snark ??

Next thing you know, they'll both be wearing hats with electrodes in them to keep them agitated...though Taylor Swift music might work for Amy.

Well to be clear, Sheldon is mean during this little part. It’s been difficult to explain or describe why I enjoyed their argument despite that. I think everyone will just have to judge this aspect for themselves. Regardless, the end result of them successfully working together is pretty sweet, and I think the tag showed they were in a great place. I liked their set of final rules, and thought it was just right for them

This season it will be remembered as one of the Shamy´s gold seasons! and if we are lucky, could finale it with the (very) expected proposal!! Cheers for season 10!

Thank you - it sounds like I'm going to enjoy this too - I had forgotten about the "Sheldon wiggle walk " haha !! This is going to be gold, plus very revealing that , that is what Sheldon thinks of when he describes using your sexuality !!!! Ha - we all knew that all along though didn't we lol !

Finaly I had spare time for a few rewatchings of s10e18. There are a few things I would like to mention. Maybe they have been mentioned before but here we go

* Amy had some of the best episode quotes. Her sassy remark about Penny almost done a science fact mention right was great! But my favourites were her bedroom quotes , especially about the bromance between Sheldon and his brain, LOL! That one about his brain had too much influence on him was priceless!

* I just love how our beloved couple dont let any trouble between them. They are in trouble about something or someone, they talk and fix any issue. I just wish we could see too a situation as Amy felt in trouble and Sheldon looked after her and sugested a talk and gave her advices. It would be great as we could see both sides and it would not mean Amy had to be the main character of a plotline for that. Or it would not mean either Sheldon would sound out of character as he wanted to talk and could advice his grilfriend. Sheldon has been showing lately he is more aware of others needs, especially as he does his best to Amy feel happy. I just would like to see a scene of that kind on screen

BTW, I have noticed  Amy's bookshelves has two vases with plants on top. Nice touch as a scientist from a Biology branch usually love plants

The bold part makes me want Amy to do some experiments with plants and the influence that music has on them.

It could be fun to see her playing different kinds of music and noises to her plants and taking notes, while Sheldon watches them sceptical.

Sheldon: Yeah, one moment they are listening to the music harmlessly and the other moment, they replace you by clones.

I understand that Sheldon is worried that their arguing might lead to a relationship his parents had and that´s why he is worried to go that road, but I´m sure they will be fine and Sheldon will realize that their relationship is strong enough to survive some banters.

And if that doesn´t convince him that they can survive everything and are strong enough to live happily ever after than I don´t know what does convince him, to put a ring on her finger.

Usually they show the previous taped episode, unless an older one is more fitting to understand the episode they are filming that night. If I remember correctly, it has happened this season for plots connected with Bernie's pregnancy. Anyway, since there is a very long hiatus and the only filmed episode which has not aired yet is 10.20, I expect that to be the episode shown to the audience at 10.21 taping.

That would involve Sheldon proposing at, or near, the time of them having sex, and we know how well mixing sex and marriage proposals works.

Good lord, I hope not! It's almost 2 years since the reveal of the ring and way over 1 year since Amy found out about it. Time to put it to good use!!

Of course anything is possible but as much as I love both 9x11 and 10x11 I'm okay if we don't celebrate Amy's birthday again in 11x11.

I hope not, I think they are really stretching it already now that it hasn't happened yet. To go well into next season (assuming Season 11 happens) would be taking the piss.

I want one too, I want the 'Shamy Trifecta!' so two down 1 to go. If all three happens it really is the golden age of Shamy!

Why? For Amy it would work perfectly. It would only be Sheldon who might have a problem because her ovaries would have latched onto him and never let go again, but perhaps he'd be fine with that, too;-)
