I know what you mean, I´ve already created a season 11 in my head and I`m currently doing a rerun of it. I´m currently at episode 11x18 "The Tepee Occurrence Renunciation". I guess I don´t have to say more as the title speaks for itself.

So, I need a new episode ASAP otherwise I loose my wits. LOL

I´ve seen the new clip and boy Sheldon knows how to move his hips.

The fact that the sufferer was able to force herself or himself to  get up and speak about it would be a sign it wasn't flu. It doesn't mean these things are all trivial. Some can turn nasty and leave long-lasting effects. Doctors say they have a way of knowing if the sick person really has flu : the doctor puts the winning lottery ticket in the middle of the floor. If the patient can get out of bed and crawl towards it, the illness is not flu.Not even an actor who really had flu, however much 'the show must go on' was bred into him could really get up and onto the stage.

Anyway, we don't need to talk about these issues any more - we have a preview already up, a taping tomorrow, possibly some sneak peeks to come and an episode on Thursday. Hooray !  So,, we can get back to discussing more important life and death matters.

I'm sorry to be so pedantic: But a lot of this seems not quite accurate and somewhat hyperbolic. The seriousness of symptoms depends a lot on the individual person and the specific strain of Influenza they're infected with. As already said: There are plenty of mild cases where the infected person doesn't experience all symptoms or where the symptoms are not as severe and far from life threatening. Not every case is the Spanish Flu.

And there are proper tests to determine whether or not someone is infected with an influenza virus - doctor's humour is not a good diagnostic method.

Dont understand why Amy  being straight faced, focussed  and not being distracted by Sheldon and being in serious mode as you put it is a good thing  yet everyone likes it when  Sheldon is distracted and giggly and silly.

Well, I can only speak for myself. I like that because Amy is constantly accused of being a poor frustrated girl, obsessed by sex and bound to never get some (or to get some just once a year), so when she shows with her actions that's not the case, I'm  happy about it.

From Amy 's side , I share @mirs1 opinion about Amy and sex. About giggly Sheldon, after seeing him for years in serious mode , I am happy he can relax to the point he can smile and giggle about things he was used to not think  even about them.

Depends what's wrong with him. If it's something catching she wouldn't want to cuddle him. Now's the time to discover whether his behaviour when sick has improved, or whether she'll be suddenly called to a conference out of town.

Agree.  I dont know more than you all do,  course, but for the avaiable photos, Sheldon’s behavior as he got sick might have improved. And besides, Amy doesnt put up with his non sense anymore.

The summary provided also points towards him being overworked and exhausted so I think that might just be it.

As an aside: I'm delighted that the collaboration with Amy is part of the story (even though it's part of the reason that it causes him too much stress).

I wonder if they ultimately come to a conclusion to stop working together? Would be a shame but if he is struggling to work two major projects at the same time then I could totally see Amy putting her boyfriend's health above their project and rightly so if it is making him ill.
