Good point.  Leonard, and Penny, suffered from a great deal of sleep deprivation as a result of Sheldon's night time antics.   So, sharing a bed with him or not, anyone living under the same roof or across the hall from Sheldon ends up wanting to put a pillow over his head at some point in time.

Sheldon suffered from a great deal of sleep deprivation as a result of Leonard and Penny's night time antics...hence the reason for noise cancelling headphones.

I loved the "you're so cute" line! So sweet!

So much to catch up on in here. The 10.23 photos are awesome! Oh my word, the way these two are looking at each other!

Just looked at the 10.24 pics though, and I'm just slightly flustered. Ramona is sitting in Amy's spot! Not cool, Ramona, not cool! Also, there are pics of Sheldon and Ramona eating lunch in the cafeteria together by themselves. It got me wondering why we don't see Sheldon and Amy eat lunch together like that. He always eats with the guys. That's their thing, I get it. But where does Amy normally eat lunch every day? In her lab by herself? It doesn't seem fair. 

Anyway, that's just my initial gut reaction to seeing those pics. Overall, I'm extremely happy with how the season is wrapping up, especially next week's episode!

Oh, the things I forget about as the seasons move forward...   I had always hoped we would get a reversal of the situation with Shamy.   I guess the bedroom talk overheard in the hallway in 10.23 is about as close as we will get.   I'll take it.   Sounds like it is going to be hilarious!

Nice episode, I have to admit Bernie's dummy is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time and Melissa is a good ventriloquist too!

As for Shamy, I found Sheldon's concerns about getting "older" very interesting. Obviously the whole thing about winning a Nobel prize before being 40 is utterly nonsense, but probably he is facing a problem most children prodigy face in their lives. At some point their abilities become more "common", Sheldon being in college at 11 was extraordinary, Sheldon working at Caltech at 37  is remarkable, but  not so extraordinary. He has to set his expectation about his life and career, I guess. Amy was funny in the episode, she was supportive and tried to push him forward, but was also the voice of reason, in a way. 

There was one thing I noticed and made me go in shipper mode so hard! When he was on the unicycle Sheldon said Amy "Go take OUR mattress", I don't know why, but that "OUR" made me sqeeeeeew!

It was a nice episode imo. Sheldon's concerns about getting older were very interisting . It looked like as much he feels like a common guy he feels more these effects and even it was just a narrative concidence, it connected nicely  with next shamy relationship steps forward we are going to see for next episodes. Sheldon will be always Sheldon, I hope some of his quirkys wont ever change, like his way of dress, for example.  But he is really now a man, not that boyish adult anymore and it is so nice to see him sharing that growth with his Amy who is also a grown woman too. One of the things most interisting I have done lately related with the show is keep rewatching season 5 and 6 at same time I watch a s10 episode every week. And it is brilliant, as these writers have been connecting every tie about shamy that need to be connected at some point and their relationship has been slowly but firmly growing and getting to the point they have a complete romantic relationship. Kudos for that, writers!

Before I list my favourite shamy moments I 'd like to say that Howard and Bernardette made the  funniest moments of this episode. I laughed so much as Bernie chased Howard with the doll. And those two are really soulmates. Their chemestry as couple is wonderful and I love how they are always showing without being too cheesy how much they love each other. And Bernie is a good ventriloquist, ahah. Howard after all is not alone about "Magic" stuff, hehe! A side note: Melissa and Simon are a great team! Can not wait for cheer for Melissa and Mayim signed their contracts because tbbt would not be that good without these two ladies.

 

Shamy bliss:

- Amy's look at Sheldon as she stepped in home and saw him taking from oven crossaints. They act realy as a married couple, it is so lovely. And Amy could not hide her pride for her "physicist, banker and lover"!

- The intimacy bliss. Sheldon who used to hate be touched, he even ask without hesitation for Amy scratch his nose. I feel like could squee, because my ship now really do everything a couple do. Oh I do noticed too the "our matress" quote, @mirs1! Dead here!*fangirl*

- I want badly to see a tickle fight. For Amy's reaction, she looove that! Please writers, make my wish come true at some point in Season 11.

- Amy's honesty is the best. Sheldon got mad but she was right, especially about Nobel stuff. But he knows she is right and always help him to understand these kind of things he tend to overreact. The talk at bedroom was perfect, especially how simple were Amy's apologies and how Sheldon accepted them. They are realy a full time team for life <3

- I loved as Amy kind of lamented after Sheldon rushed out to their bedroom. Everyone warned her  but love can not be warned to be avoid, can it?

-Girls interactions are always great, love it! And Amy is really so alike with Sheldon about some stuff, hehe! She trying to check her phone about Bernie's stuff was so funny, it reminded me when Sheldon check facts with the boys.

-Tag scene was great! I love how peacefully Amy sleeps side by side  with an agitated Sheldon who have many not so quiet sleep nights, hehe! A good contrast with their first nights as they shared a bed, now they have really found their way to have the best sleep time at same bed. It is so lovely!

I don't know if this has already been addressed, but reading this comment actually made me think about the ending of “The Solder Excursion Diversion”, when Sheldon makes Amy go back to her appartment and is so excited to talk to her via the computer (S: 'I feel like I can reach out and touch you!'. A: 'And, yet, you can't').

I didn't like that at all, but @Jenafan's words made me realize that what happens in 10.23 is a huge step that settles in some way that sore spot, and for me that's another added reason to love season 10. The second part of season 9 was quite a dissapointment to me and I've tried to keep my expectations low throughout all of this season, but it's been great.

Loved the Sheldon/Raj/Amy scenes, wish we had seen more of that this season with Raj staying in 4A but now he's moved on to his new place it was a shame they didn't explore more of that this season. We knew Sheldon was a excellent baker from the brunch so it should be no surprise that his first time croissants would be good! Raj's reaction to eating them was hilarious.

Sheldon realization of his age was interesting, we all go through that at some stage or our lives and sometimes more than once lol! Sheldon was playing as Winston on Overwatch! Very cool to see the same game I play being mentioned on the show and yes I feel the same when I get killed by 12 year olds lol playing the very same game!

Honestly wasn't a mega fan of the clown stuff, physically stimulated the brain angle. Sheldon does overreact to situations, but at least there was a scientific study that he was quoting and using as a theory to test. So there was some merit to the things he did.

Shamy in the bedroom once again fantastic, sure this is not the first time she had had to comfort him this season and remind him of what he has got friends, loved ones etc around him. Another 'cute' compliment! Keep them coming Sheldon, great to see so much affection voiced or displayed this season!

My absolute favorite thing from the whole episode was Bernie and the Ventriloquist doll, how she turned the tables on Howard in the end was absolutely hilarious. The menage a trois and splinter joke was hilarious as Howard was fleeing by being so freaked out by the doll LOL!

Solid episode overall, seen better but also seen worse this season.

Time to write something up for this thread! Overall I liked the episode, especially Howardette and the girls scenes. Although for Shamy it was mostly filler there were still some worthwhile and fluffy parts in it.

I quite like the whole "getting older" aspect cause this is a show that's not pretending their characters stay the same. They're all not getting any younger and it's nice to see that acknowledged openly. I'm basically in the same generation as the characters and these days your 30s are the time when you're confronted with certain life decisions and the uncomfortable truth that you might not accomplish certain goals you set yourself ten or more years ago - and that's okay. Sheldon might never get a Nobel (and as I've said plenty times before: it's pretty impossible for a theoretical physicist anyway, Exhibit A: Stephen Hawking) but pursuing science for its own sake and a happy private life is a life worth living as well even without the prestige. And just to stress that: Amy's point is not "love/friendship > work", it's "love/friendship + work > prestige".

Anyway, little things:

- Sheldon accidentally sending everybody kissy face smileys is adorable <3

- Sheldon's "yay" on the couch was so cute I can't help it

- I love the neuroscience reference Sheldon based his experiment on. I always love it when they do that cause it's usually coming from Amy and Sheldon both discussing these kinds of studies <3

- Sheldon's croissants are as good as sex! No wonder he adds "lover" to his list LOL

- "For the last time: I'm not having a tickle fight with you!" How often has Amy challenged him to a tickle fight?? I need to know because of reasons. I also need to see that actually happen!!!

- I can't get enough of their bed scenes! <3 (But yes, Sheldon, please remove your shoes. What even!?)

All in all it was a bit of a breather episode for us before the grand finale of this season!! Can't wait for next week!!!

I wonder if Amy Farrah Fowler had always been on writer's minds as the show progressed for s2 and s3 because the references Sheldon made about neuroscience and monkeys in these seasons were really so spotted on as he would eventually  fall in love for a woman like Amy. We know show contuinity is not always something writers care about but I am glad they dont fail much about that contuinity as shamy is concerned.

I know I have said before but a rewatch from all show as we center in Sheldon's evolution as character and then since he met Amy is really something insightful and heartfel to remind. Bless the writers for the introducing of the girl who is a friend but not a girlfriend who is one step to become Sheldon's fianceé. <3

Amy's facial expression and the way she looked at Sheldon in that litle bit of dialogue between Raj and Sheldon was priceless. One of things  I most love about shamy interactions is many times neither Amy or Sheldon need to be much vocal about what is going on their minds, their faces and their looks at each other say everything that matters to us to know, hehe! Raj quote about the croissants  made by Sheldon and sex in same sentence was gold! Our boy was a bit proud, wasn't he?

And Im so in for a tickle fight on screen! <3

Captain Jim is a wise man, isnt he? And glad writers follow his wishes, hehe! Shamy bed scenes is really one of best things from this season. The dialogues , the goodness, is everyhting so perfect! Hopefully we might see many more in next seasons

And last but not least, about next week...

It is going to be hard to me to sleep well in that night, lol! I am suspicious that I will be wake before 6:00 am, just saying...

 

PS: Yes, Sheldon. We all want those shoes off as you are on bed, okay?

From what I gather it's a happy coincidence. They didn't knew right away what to do with Amy so they made her whatever Mayim was because of the "Miscellaneous: PhD in Neuroscience" in her resume. lol It's probably impossible to tell what they would have made Amy if it weren't for that fun little detail.

Melissa and Mayim signed their contracts, I knew it they would!  I am really happy! The show would not be the same without them. Neither Sheldon without his Amy

Now we are sure we will see everything shamy related writers would come up for them.  Engagement, stag night, wedding, Nobel prizes? Everything sweet and funny about those two we deserve!  

Ps: This hiatus will be nicer than I thought it would after all!
