I went back and re-read the TR and you're right, he took a taxi. 

In the tag when they are leaving 4B and Sheldon says "what if I become strange and eccentric" and Amy responds "I'll love you no matter what"....did anyone but me think he was going to give her a kiss?  The way that Jim briefly moved his head made me think (for a split second) that he was going to give her a little kiss.

Same here. Imo a litle peck would make the scene even better, as that scene was my second favourite from the episode.

Yes....It was actually used as the theme song for the first failed BBT pilot.  (it wasn't written for TBBT, it was originally released in 1982)

I know it's a group or team effort but I will be checking out to see what other episodes she might write for in the future. Pretty good episode to get your first writing credit for lol.

Same here. The episode had a beautifully sweet and heartfelt touch in everything shamy related. Even the jokes's  tone was not too much in any scene. I like the thought that Alex could have had a nice influence on that.

This makes me wonder:

We know that the writers room is a very collaborative environment and they just take turns with the writing credits. So it may have been that as Molaro's assistant Alex already helped tinkering with quite a few scripts this season but just didn't get credit until now. Seeing how often we've wondered if the writers read fanfic or discussions like this thread maybe that's the answer!

Molaro: "Alex, I have a new task for you. You gotta find out what's hip with the kids these days."

Alex: "Hip with the what now?"

Molaro: "You know what I mean. I think they call it 'shipping'. We're especially looking for some fun ideas for Sheldon and Amy cause all I've got so far is this hilarious bit for Amy's birthday! That birthday sex joke might be one of my best but it sure ain't filling the whole season and you've seen how much Jim's working out lately. If we don't deliver I don't even want to know what he'll do."

Alex: "Alright, any pointers?"

Molaro: "A few years ago we read some cute stories written by fans. It was a big hit in the writers room. Maybe you could start with that?"

Sunday evening is my time for some tbbt old seasons rewatch and I am rewatching season 6 at moment. It was time of rewatching the ep7, that one Sheldon did not take Amy's side as she had an argument with Will Wheaton. Sheldon was so oblivious by that time , lol! But Amy did not put up with his non sense and he even defended his woman as he drank Long Island Tea and went to Will' s place as a guy from Texas he is, lol! 

No matter how many times I rewatch these shamy moments thay I always love how their relationship was developing, even in a pace of a snail, to the great moment they are living now. 

Btw, before this rewatch I rewatched 10.23 ( I dont know how many times I have watched it by now, lol) and the way Sheldon took Amy's news as he said it was important to her to take the fellowship  and Amy said he was important too made me all warm and fuzzy. Gosh, what a season! Can't wait for next friday! <3

I saw that one the other day, too.

I just re-watched on Youtube the episode where Leonard buys the table and Sheldon decides to break up with Amy.  "It is hideous, isn't it?" "Yes. Thank goodness I won't have to look at it, because I won't be your girlfriend any more."

I've just seen the extended preview for episode 24.  I didn't imagine Amy would be so Angry with P and B. You go girl !

I couldn't see at whom Bernie was shouting, Ramona or Penny, and I couldn't hear whether it was 'No !' or 'Go' or what.

Many many thanks. After about 55 years, perhaps more, I finally know that's what it means. I thought they were just calling Johnny an animal name because they were annoyed with him. Now I get that it's a sad song.

So Sheldon, as a bachelor, isn't considered fair game ?  To an outsider he's only a boyfriend, not a husband or a fiance. He only calls Amy his girlfriend.  We and his immediate friendship circle know it's far more than that.  For all we know, Ramona has been following Sheldon's romantic situation all these years.  Last time she'd have seen Shamy they'd probably just met or were still only friends. It might even have been when Amy was dating Stuart.  If while she's worked abroad she's heard Shamy became attached, broke up and are now back together but openly sharing that theirs is hardly even a sexual relationship, she might well have come back to try to hook Sheldon before he commits himself any further. She possibly thinks she's just in time. We know she's really too late.

No, Sheldon and Amy are in a relationship. They are living together and I'm sure it's all over Amy's Facebook page.  Maybe Sheldon's also.

This post got me so confused. But I want to discuss this. 

1. "bachelor" means "not in a romantic relationship with someone", right?  So, no, Sheldon is NOT a bachelor.

2. Ramona has been following Sheldon's romantic situation all these years.

    Where did the TR say this? 

3. Amy went ONE date with Stuart, then she became Sheldon's girlfriend.  There is NO "when Amy was dating Stuart". This is NOT a "continuous situation".

4. "hardly even a sexual relationship" is NOT an accurate description, Shamy have a sexual relationship, the frequency of their sex enconters has nothing to do with anyone else but themselves.

5. "he commits himself any further".

I think being someone's boyfriend IS a very important commitment, "being in a serious relationship" IS as important as "being married".

 

And, I want to say, I'm pretty sure that Amy's line "you had one job" is some exaggerated funny joke from the writers. But I could be wrong, though.

 

PS: I apologize for my blunt words and harsh tone, I'm sorry, I just don't understand where this original post is coming from.

I'm not sure what makes you think not being married means anyone in a committed relationship is fair game. Not to mention that there are a lot of assumptions about what Ramona may or may not know that we simply don't have any information about.

Rule of thumb though is: if someone is in a committed relationship (and living together is a clear sign here) they're usually not interested in dating other people. (Sure, cheating happens but I would seriously question the commitment here.) A relationship is not less serious just because the couple isn't married, yet.

And yes, maybe there needs to be a new term for this kind of serious relationship cause "girlfriend / boyfriend" sounds too casual. Jim is struggling with that in his private life, too, whenever there's mention of Todd cause "boyfriend" sounds a bit silly after all those years and "partner" sounds too much like business, and since they're not officially married "husband" also isn't a good solution even though it's probably the closest match in terms of their commitment and living situation.

So no, you cannot make these kinds of assumptions these days where people don't get married right away anymore.
