I've considered that S11 will begin with the gang worried about where Sheldon is and I've wondered what Amy's answer will be (given the circumstances that got him there), but I never thought about Ramona's role in the long-term. With her working at Cal Tech now, there will need to be some resolution that explains her disappearance... if she does, in fact, disappear. I'm hoping and praying against it, but they could use her to stir things up for as long as they see necessary. I'd suggest that she'll disappear like Mandy did, but Ramona actually has feelings for Sheldon whereas Mandy didn't care about Leonard at all. Since I know the cast and crew love Riki, it is a bit worrisome that they'll choose to keep her around.

Which also causes me to question time and how it will work in S11. Do they come back exactly where we left off? Do we get flashbacks? Do we only hear about what happened once Amy is back from Princeton? If they return where they left off, how do they time-jump past Amy's Summer at Princeton? Does that mean she has to quit the fellowship? How many answers are we really going to get if what happens after the proposal is only ever explained through conversations between the characters? 

So many questions and an entire summer to torture myself with even more.

It looks like there are no immediate plans for Ramona being back (which is good news, not really a fan of a show down between Amy and her). Obviously the premiere will pick up where the finale ended, not sure how they will work from there, my wish is that we have a few episodes with Amy in Princeton to continue her fellowship after everything is cleared up with Sheldon. I've noticed in the interviews Molaro is "trolling" much less than I thought. There's obviously that "I don't know what's going to happen", but it's like he doesn't think he might be  believable  that Amy turns Sheldon down, and actually also the journalists are working under the assumptions this wedding will happen.

Thanks @mirs1, but I'm not really sure how much I trust Molaro or that things won't change before S11 begins. Didn't he say before S10 that Sheldon and Amy would be attending a convention together? Perhaps that storyline went to Lenny for 10.06 (or I remember it wrong), but it's way too early for us to know what will happen and what won't. Once they get back to work and start pumping out episodes, I'll be more inclined to believe their intentions but things have a way of changing. 

I'm glad to hear that there are no set plans for Riki to return and that they plan on picking up where S10 ended, but my questions still stand because those intentions aren't set in stone. Not yet.

Enjoyed that episode, was it as good as 10.23? I am not sure, I think that could have been a perfect ending for Shamy this season. Sure we wouldn't have got the proposal but then we won't learn the outcome until Season 11 so if delayed by a few episodes we still would have seen it that season.

- Loved their flirty Skype scenes, they both clearly miss each other like crazy both in a physical and mental sense. Since living together they are around each other all the time so it's natural they would miss each other's company.

-Loved the Amy/Penny/Bernie Skype scenes as well. That ketchup line lol was hilarious, the Sopranos- esque that 'broad has got to go' was funny. I can understand why Amy was mad or jealous. I remember Amy's reaction to Alex when she first appeared lol.

- Loved the gang coming together to try and safeguard and protect Shamy. Penny and Bernie in particular were stars, Howard had some cracking lines as well. I loled so much with the pint sized fire rocket Bernie forceably wedging herself between them LOL! And the scenes with them all walking to her car were hilarious as Bernie and Penny kept trying to get in between Ramona and Sheldon. The girls friendship was so on point tonight, usually always is to be fair!

- Ramona, Ugh Ramona! I wasn't going to enjoy her appearance going into this and I didn't after watching it. The key moment for me was when Amy Skyped Sheldon in 4B and Ramona was there, did you see the look on Ramona's face? Jealously? Maybe thinking 'I have to step this pursuit up here', ugh! It was a really mischievous look, and I swore so much at the screen when I saw it! 

- Loved the Shenny talk and that limited figure line was genius. Beautiful moment when she looked at the painting in the end and said I tried, she looked kind of sad and defeated at the end. Kind of highlighting the Pamy relationship this season and how much stronger it is. They clearly moved the painting back there to add to the scene which makes sense for the scene but we all thought it was now in 4A lol!

- The kiss honestly went on longer than I expected it would. Got to think Sheldon was in sheer and absolute shock and he was trying to process what happened after he told Ramona he wasn't interested, clearly not the sort of reaction he was expecting. Remember the conversation with Penny? He couldn't process why someone would go after him because he already had a girlfriend, I think you saw that reaction with the kiss. There is no fucking way he was enjoying it or anything like that and anyone who says that is quite frankly talking a load of codswallop. Did you not see those eyeballs bulging? He got the fuck out of there after it happened (funny how his line in 10.23 to Amy was a portent in a way, tall, scientist, blonde hair that was Ramona!)

- Loved the proposal scene, Sheldon clearly relaxed and had that serene look on his face. Going on a mission it's what he wants, feel's natural kind of vibe I was getting. I didn't at any point feel it was a guilt ridden one or anything like that. Interesting the 'Spongebob the innocent' playing on the plane (I also read Molaro's comments why they did that, pretty clever). Sheldon on bended knee looking more sure than ever this is what he wants, the look of love on his face and his expressions very well done. Amy's reaction was shock, understandably so also noticed like her breathing was becoming a bit rapid, maybe @April's panic attack idea might actually happen in 11.1 lol? Oh and of course I heard @kazzie's voice lol.

Immediate thoughts around 11.1 it's going to be interesting. I think and hope she says yes, ideally with talking about Ramona. My only fear (and it is very very very small) is they have a ready made rejection lined up if they want to use it.

Nothing to do with the actual kiss, Sheldon clearly in my view did nothing wrong and that's not me standing up for my fellow man here, she forced herself upon him and his reaction said it all (eyes bulging, get the fuck out of dodge). The rejection could come from the timing of it after what just happened. Don't get me wrong I think Sheldon has been thinking about this for some time, in 10.23 I knew he was absolutely ready. But if they have a conversation about what happened what is to stop Amy from saying maybe the timing isn't right, maybe she sees it as a reactionary to the situation? I would like to think she wouldn't see it like that as she knows how much he loves her, but you just never know. Of course if she says no then I expect Sheldon to be absolutely devastated, this is his second time after all trying to propose obviously this time actually getting the chance to go on bended knee and utter the words. This also makes me think a rejection won't happen.

I think she will say YES that's my prediction going into 11.1, I am going to be a nervous wreck on taping night for that one that's for sure lol!

I have kinda of mixed feelings for this finale. I think it was a very funny episode (the Mario cart in the stairwell is probably the biggest LMAO moment in S. 10) and overall everybody was at their best and got hilarious lines. Amy was on fire, and so did Penny, I think Mayim and Kaley were the stars in the episode. I really loved the tag, with that montage with no music at all, leading to the actual proposal. I already knew what was going to happen, but I found that footage really powerful and well executed. It was also genius for me to have Sheldon not rushing to the whole process, he was calm and determined, as he knew all along he was doing the right thing at the right time. Also, him watching Spongebob during the flight as he had not one single worry in this world shows in a subtle way (as also Molaro underlined in one interview) he is proposing Amy for the right motivation, not out of guilt or something. The whole show pointed out times and again he is just as innocent as oblivious as always.

But, but but...that Ramona thing in general and the kiss in particular....I really don't think they were necessary in the first place. As I said, I don't think it prompted Sheldon to propose out of guilt, and frankly I'm not even a bit worried this situation will create any trouble in the future whether Amy and Sheldon talk about it or not (even I hope they will, but the vibe I got from Molaro interviews is that at the moment in the writers room they are not really focusing on it). The episode stressed in every possible way that Sheldon is oblivious and has no intention to harm Amy, so that's all good. That kiss, though, was very "visual" and longer than I thought, and I'm a bit sorry it will be tied with Shamy's proposal. I would have wanted something "different" for them.

OK, I just watched 1024 again.

On the Discussion Thread, I said I thought Ramona was NOT THAT INTO Sheldon, and I kinda felt sorry for her as a character. But after @Jonny 's reminder of her look at the Skype scene, the first time I watched this episode, I missed this scene, now, I still think she was not that into Sheldon, but I feel A LOT LESS sorry for her...

About the proporal, I still don't like Ramona as some catalyst for the proporal, but I really LOVE how determined and yet how relaxed Sheldon was in the whole "taking a cab, buying the ticket, watching SpongeBob, searching for Amy's apartment" scene. It was like this thing (as in proporal) was really a very simple thing,  he didn't dwell on it, he didn't hesitate about it, he didn't consider it back and forth, he didn't overthink it, he just took the plane and asked Amy to marry him.

So, now, I really want to hear Amy say yes.

Had a busy morning catching up with everything so haven't had time to sit down and write about 10x24.

General thoughts: I love how group oriented the whole episode was. Sure, at the centre was the danger to Sheldon and Amy's relationship but the gang rallied to protect their friends and it was funny and beautiful to watch!! It was also funny to see just how unprepared the gang was for such a scenario so you got them being a bit overwhelmed with the situation and wondering what to do. Especially the girls were such a highlight again with Penny kicking everyone into action and Bernie throwing herself in between Ramona and Sheldon, not to mention that walk down the stairs which was hilarious!

As for Shamy specifically:

I adored the grammar flirt to bits! You know, just the episode earlier there was a joke about how there's a lot of lecturing going on behind closed doors - well, that's what it looks like! And they're both so into it, omg. Amy's smile in the end just killed me. Homegirl loves a "rigorous admonishing" from her beau! hahaha

The other skype scenes with Amy were gold as well - especially with the girls. A+ delivery from Mayim here. hahaha

With regards to Sheldon and Ramona I thought they found a good balance here. She was obviously into him but her behaviour wasn't *that* obvious either. I can totally buy that Sheldon would only see her as a friendly colleague and I was positively surprised how he only called her "Dr. Nowitzki" and not by her first name like the rest of the gang. He also mostly seemed interested in spending time with her because of her involvement with CERN and maybe being excited about finally learning how to swim (after all just a few episodes prior he was all about learning new things!). So I think it's all kept very in character and rather harmless. They really went all out to make him look innocent here.

I also liked the talk with Penny and how even though he denied it at first her words clearly got through by the next day and Sheldon immediately confronted Ramona. The kiss didn't bother me cause even though it felt a bit longer than I expected Sheldon also looked a lot more shocked than I even hoped for. I mean, I kinda feared that his face would look too neutral lending more ambiguity to the scene and all that. But just the sheer shock in his eyes just screams "NOPE, NOT HERE FOR IT!" and then he just got the hell out of there. LOL

I've read quite a few interviews with Molaro this morning and I was happy to see that what he seemed to have in mind with that scene was what I got out of - mostly obviously that it was a sort of epiphany about Amy and he had to act on it immediately. Not as a panic or anything cause the way they showed him travelling there was nothing panic-y about it. Instead he was calm and determined to get this thing done. There's a certain clarity in his actions here, if you get what I mean.

And then of course actually seeing him on one knee and popping the question with Amy being shocked was such a treat! I really do hope to get a bit of a panic attack moment in 11x01 that'll give them a moment to catch their breath and explain things before Amy gets another chance to say yes. Again, my ideal scenario but we'll have to wait and see.

I personally feel Sheldon has no doubts of his love for Amy. I think that kiss startled him and that why it seemed so long, he never closed his eyes.  He closed them the first time Amy startled him with a kiss.

Speaking about the ring, do you think it's the same as in S. 8/9? I'm pretty sure (given Molaro's interviews) that is supposed to be Meemaw's ring, it's not like Sheldon bought a new one. But I got the impression the ring in S. 8/9 was yellow gold, while this  seems white gold. Maybe it's just the lightening....or, they lost their own prop, LOL!

After several viewed I think I can already do a post about my thoughts on this episode. For starters, I think the episode was incredible, pure gold in comedy, not a doubt it´s one of the best episodes this season. 

- I laughed a lot in a lot of scenes, especially with Amy, Bernie and Raj, who were on fire all the episode. (Emmy for Mayim please, that Skype call with the girls deserve it!). 

- I loved how the whole group came together to protect the couple and the whole episode was a big plot around Shamy. I know that many fans would complain about this, but I think it was necessary and fulfilled their mission of being a fun and entertaining episode. 

- The drama Dr. Nowitzki was very well taken, every moment gave me the feeling that Sheldon innocently didn´t see what so clearly we all were seeing. The Penny-Sheldon´s talk was fantastic, but the detail of the painting was magic, These two are really the best besties ever!!

- And we arrived at the drama moment par excellence, don´t tell me that I was the only one that her heart stops and shout bitch to the screen!!. Those lips only belong to one person and it’s not you. Sheldon’s face say it all and he simply walked slowly down the aisle while all the Shamy fans held our breath. I expected it, I said it in here, I knew that Sheldon was going to fly to Pricenton, he had to, his place is where Amy is and only with her. When Amy opened the door and saw Sheldon with that face, so sure, so mature, so full of love, his eyes, his mouth… (just tears fell on my face.

- I know that many of you think that it is not the proposal that Amy deserves, and it is true, but I want to make it clear that Sheldon is not doing it because of Ramona’s kiss or because he feels guilty. He simply realized that there is nothing or nobody that he wants more than Amy, that his place is with her, that his kisses are for her and that they will always be, that there is nothing else he wants in the world more than be with her, forever. 

The answer that many of you expect is a big yes, but I don´t think so, I think Amy will suffer a panic attack (as the “I love you” scene), then they will talk, Sheldon will tell her everything, Amy will understand him and then Sheldon will ask her again, and this time will be perfect and Amy will say the expected YES!  

This is just my opinion, it has been such a wonderful season that I am just so grateful that I want to cry. Long live Shamy!

Oh my, I didn´t love the episode (except the final tag, which was so touching and so powerful, I had tears in my eyes, while I fangirled, I´m hoarse now) but there were a lot of things that I liked a lot.

I loved the girls doing their best to intervene between Ramona and Sheldon. (Especially Bernie´s "Let me just squeeze in" while she moved her butt to and fro between them was so adorable and hilarious!) and I liked how she made her way to Sheldon (I thought for a moment, that Bernie was taking Sheldon´s hand and would pull him down the stairs, as far away from Ramona as possible, it would have been cute) to make sure that she was between Ramona and Sheldon and how Penny followed her a few seconds later. Girls you rock and I love you for being protective this was so adorable!!!

I had to laugh when Sheldon said, that he had fun playing Mario Kart with them (I guess this will be their game from now on, everytime they walk down the stairs LOL)

I loved Amy´s "That broad bitch has to disappear"  and her "You had one job" lines. Badass Amy is so funny to watch!

Now that I´ve seen the whole episode I have to say, that I´m even more convinced that Ramona wasn´t any danger at all.

Of course she just spend as much time as possible with Sheldon and of course they both agreed that they enjoy spending time together, but as Sheldon clearly stated, they are just colleagues as his "Dr. Nowitzki" term he used for Ramona confirmed. It was cute how Amy skyped him again while he was with Ramona because she missed him. (I can totally see them, skyping each other, everytime they miss each other, even at night. I want to have an episode where Amy is in Princeton and skypes with Sheldon and Sheldon puts his laptop on Amy´s side of the bed, as if she were with him, while they listen to their partner breathing while they slowly fall into sleep, after they exchanged several "Good nights" and "I miss you x+1 more times than you do!")

And as @Jonny has already said, Sheldon´s eye balls were bulging almost out as she kissed him. He was too shocked to stop the kiss and was still shocked as she interrupted the kiss and only said "Excuse me for a moment" (Well this was probably the longest moment in sitcom history LOL) I hope Ramona didn´t wait too much for his return or didn´t wait at all and just left.

Maybe she even heard a car outside, went to the window to look outside and saw Sheldon leaving campus in a cab.

Nevertheless I feel sorry for Ramona, because she seemed to really like Sheldon. She looked jealous, but how would you look, if you saw the man you like(Love?) speaking with his girlfriend. But despite the kiss, she didn´t make any further attempts to seduce Sheldon, I mean she could have wrapped her arms around him and try to kiss him passionately or to lure him with her allurements.

To me she seems the silent admirer who just enjoys spending time with her crush otherwise if she an other goal, she would have made clear attempts towards him. This would explain why she was so shy, when he asked her if she had interest in a romantic relationship with him. She didn´t look him right in the face, she looked down on the food bags and didn´t even admit directly that he was true, she just said "What if I were?", before she kissed him. This was her first physical attempt and it was a shy one, even if it lasted longer than I wanted it to be. Again she could have sit on his lap and kiss him or jump at him, wrapping her arms around him and kiss him passionately, but she didn´t. So all this shows me, that she is a silent admirer, who is as insecure as others, when it comes to feelings and that made me feel pitty for her, because he was unhappily in love.

It certainly doesn´t justify her behaviour, it wasn´t right to do it, but I still feel bad for her, because you just can´t switch off your feelings like a switch.

And last but not least, the moment I´ve been waiting for for so long: THE PROPOSAL!!!!!!!!

I agree with @Mirs1 that he was totally calm and wasn´t proposing because he felt guilty.

He did it because he realized he loved Amy.

It was so beautifully and well done, that Sheldon was looking at her and didn´t say anything and that they decided to focus the camera on Amy before he finally asked her "Will you marry me?"

I loved his facial expression as he looked up at Amy, his eyes pleaing to say yes (were his eyes glimmering, as if he had watery eyes, or was I imagining it, because  my sight was blurry, because of my own upcoming tears?)

It was such a touching and beautiful moment and I´m still faingirling hard (I guess I will have to look for a new bed, after all the bouncing on it LOL)

Don't know really, could be the same one might be a different prop hard to tell. I do think it's his family heirloom though, he hasn't bought a new one.

It really was beautiful, I absolutely loved how they had Sheldon's montage without music as well - such a great choice, then of course the proposal, I'm not surprised the cast & crew were crying - Jim nailed it - so calm, composed and confident that Amy is all he wants, forever - oh here come the leaky eyes again !!!! It really was beautiful, I absolutely loved how they had Sheldon's montage without music as well - such a great choice, then of course the proposal, I'm not surprised the cast & crew were crying - Jim nailed it - so calm, composed and confident that Amy is all he wants, forever - oh here come the leaky eyes again !!!! ️
