That will be my favourite part of the episode, I can tell by now, even if I haven't watched it yet, LOL! Well...we waited a lot for a Shamy episode, but I think we got a really good one!!! Go Sheldon...do it "for science"!!!

Won't the experiment end right around Amy's birthday anyway? I say they have coitus either way.

Amy's birthday is not until Dec and the experiment will finish Oct/Nov, so don't think so.

10.04 will air on October 10th unless there will be any future changes to the schedule. Amy's birthday is December 17th so let's say two weeks from December, plus the last 3 weeks of November = 5 weeks of the experiment. So it should be over before her birthday comes up.

I'm actually wondering if during their discussion were Amy takes coitus off the table (which is reminiscent of their first meeting :D) there will be a mention about whether they've been doing it all this time. I hope there is.

However, as a worker in science field myself, I say that sometimes some experiences need more time to be sucessful than originally was settled. And Sheldon and Amy likes to give good use to scientifc method.

Me after reading the 10x04 spoiler bits this morning:

The whole thing sounds amazing from start to finish. It's everything I hoped it would be and more!! <3

- The plumbing issue in Amy's apartment alone cracks me up cause I can't even remember how often that kind of scenario came up in the thread here. *high fives all around*

- Shamy staying in 4B is honestly the most surprising thing about this. Especially after Lenny are already offering Leonard's room to Amy. Sheldon apparently wanting more neutral ground for this cohabitation experiment not only puts him out of his own comfort zone by not staying in 4A but also in an even more intimate situation with Amy in that 4B has only one bed room and there's no alternative like in 4A. Not to mention 4B is not the gang's usual hang out so it provides more privacy in a way.

- I'm screaming at the first night being terrible for them. Back in the S9 Shamy thread I once dreamt up that kind of scenario AND NOW I'M GETTING EXACTLY THAT???? THANK YOU WRITERS!!! (I have more stupid ideas if you need them, wink wink) LMAO

- The argument and Sheldon really really wanting to see this through is amazing!! Homeboy wants his gurl! FOR SCIENCE, of course. Also make-up make out??? Aww yess!!

- 5 weeks of canon Shamy living in 4B while sharing a bed. Anything can happen in the name of science!! IS THIS THE REAL LIFE OR IS IT JUST FANTASY???

If they already having sex all this time why Amy is taking coitus off the table? In my not so smart head doesn't make any sense. But even the discution about it is good for them I guess. I also hope to have an answer about this.

That's assuming they've caught up to our time.  They could still be in July BBT timeframe.

Keep in mind the in-universe timeline is not the exact same as the air-dates of the episode. We can keep Bernie's baby bump as a time tracking plot device here and she'd be due in/around October. She has a visible baby bump now but probably still 2nd trimester size which would put this story around July/August.

On the contrary, this is the first time since Opening Night that I kind of feel they've been doing it all this time... I mean if Amy knows they'll only do it on her birthday, there's no need for her to suggest "taking coitus off the table" because they were not going to do it anyway.

However, all previous evidence suggests they've only done it once... So I guess we'll have to wait and see (and I've been saying this for almost a year lol)

I had the feeling this episode could be a big one for Shamy, but I didn't want to get my hopes up for fear of disappointment and now... now I can't believe this! I think I'm in shock!

At the start of the episode during the discussion with sheldon he says something about not wanting to spoil the romance and penny says "you've had sex one whole time so you're fine there" so i think they've only done it the once, thats how it sounded to me anyway hopefully im wrong lol.

Given that Amy has signed a Non Disclosure Clause (and we didn't see that in Opening Night) that could just mean that as far as Penny knows they've only had sex once.

I think this might become my second favorite Shamy episode after Opening Night. It sounds hilarious! I'm so happy to be this excited about a new episode. It's been so long!
