I think it's kinda cute that Penny dreams of a Leonard who prepares a romantic dinner and sings NSYNC (her favorite boy band) to express his love for her. So cool to get an insight on her feelings. This is so rare. I've always thought Penny is rather adamant when it comes to Leonard being romantic. She never seemed to care all that much. Looks like I was wrong. Leonard just needs a little food for thought and he'll go all romance ninja again, I'm pretty sure.

edit: I also like that she talks about her feelings, instead of just swallowing it up. She's not known to do that very often, but it'll definitely help to fix their problems.

Hey fellow lenny's. Just read the TR and well, all I can say is this might be a good thing for our favorite couple. They could go two ways with this. Either sweep it under the carpet never to be heard of again, or this is tptb chance to give lenny more focus and screen time on the show while they navigate to sorting out their issues. I know it’s painful to see lenny portrayed as not in a good place but deep down we know they are and whatever tptb throw at us. I know we on the thread are strong enough to take it and turn it into positive things for our ship. Maybe tptb have finally realise the damage they are doing to Lenny and are finally going to fix it. Fingers crossed and long live LENNY.

This is my feelings!!  This is the writers admitting through a screen that yea, we've done nothing with this couple, here is a chance to fix it.  I'm hopeful and I immediately thought of you folks!

I'm eager to see what's coming next. Obviously Leonard has to step up his game a bit in order to keep Penny in this marriage. Leonard is not stupid, I'm sure he'll figure something out. Can't wait to see more passion between these two, if that's what the writers intend to do with this storyline. Or maybe it was just a one time thing and it'll never come up again, lol.

Ummm.  "...keep Penny in this marriage"?  I don't think the TR came close to telling us that is even a remote possibility.  I think we should settle down on that score.  Sorry if I'm harsh, but....

The possibility of her leaving or the possibility of Leonard keeping her? Not sure what you're talking about. I don't think their marriage is in danger though, just exaggerating a little.

Writers have been doing this every year and Lenny survive, blossom, find another problem, survive, blossom, rinse, repeat.

Season 5 - the dream sequence plays out all the insecurities but Lenny still jump into the relationship. next episode The beta test lists, Leonard already taking it for granted with watching TV on date night but fixes it with effort to organise shooting range. Goes fine for a while until Leonard stuffs up with sex proposal and Penny starts feeling doubt again.

Season 6 - starts with doubtful Penny, borders on breaking up again then girls suggest she is taking Leonard for granted then we have Holographic epiphany an rest of season is probably happiest Lenny stretch although we retrospectively wonder whether final Ep suggests the ill fated boat make out reveal of season hate.

Season 7 - more angst over acting support TO and fro, the Vegas wedding annulment, Leonard freaks out whether Penny will dump him, he buys the car, supports the acting, finishes with Penny proposing weirdly, Leonard saves with ring.

Season 8 - early warning signs with doubt over the relationship from Penny over the Relationship test, lack of screen time does little to build the relationship, the delay over the wedding, rushed into drive to Vegas wedding finishes with the big cheat reveal

Season 9 - botched wedding, lots of doubt, big talk resolves, delays in moving out as married couple as Sheldon support takes precedence, become comfortable but not passionate. Let's fix it with a better redo wedding.

Season 10 - starts beautifully, move back into comfortable back ground mode but I love yous intermixed with the sneaky and snarky and now as the mid season cliffhanger we throw in another out of nowhere but in reality predictable mini crisis for Lenny. Annoying, frustrating , another back to the old playbook moment for the writers because change and growth is never maintained in this show for anyone (Shamy are yoyos and Howard regresses to lazy Manchild regularly).

But I work a lot on resilience in my job at school and have become immune to stress. You guys have survived all this stuff I mentioned over the journey, threatened leaving but returned every time because Lenny like their shippers are a resilient duo who survive all this crap they are put through and come out smelling like roses ( albeit in a small partially hidden vase on a kitchen island at times). Hang in there over the Christmas hiatus, stay away from sharp objects, remember to breathe during the break an come back in January ready for the next resolution of this perennial roller coaster ride.

They'll survive this for sure. In fact, we don't even have anything to worry about. We know they're fine at the end of the episode. They addressed the issue and both are willing to work on it, so that's that.

I read the TR with horror. Jeez, Lenny asking Sheldon for a RA. Sheldon has gone from a socially awkward virgin to a relationship advisor and stud. If the TV episode is anything like the TR, that will see me out. I won't be missing all that much because I often FF thru the Shamy scenes. I enjoy this forum a lot more  than  I've been enjoying the show.

I know the latest TR is like a hit in the face for every Lenny. I've been thinking about it the whole day and I came to the conclusion, that this episode will not only be a turning point which will lead to some Lenny stories, we all have been hoping for but also another problem, they will have to pass. They got so used to the other and feel so secure that the other won't leave, that they started to take the other for granted. This happens to lots of couples over the years. Another problem is, that partners change over the years as well, sometimes in a positive way and sometimes not. And when they change for bad, we are wishing back the partner we fell in love with in the first place. This is Penny's issue. Leonard in her eyes is not the romantic ninja he used to be, while Leonard seems to have stopped being romantic, because he thinks that he doesn't have to fight for her love anymore. And I can't blame him, because if your wife shows no interested in your hobbies or hides everything that you love (his action figures), than at least, I understand that he says: " If she doesn't try to do nice things to show me her love than why should I? " But acknowledging their problems and wanting to work on it is the right step and the fact that they want to fix their expectations and the conditions of how they want to proceed in their relationship shows me that not only Lenny, but the writers as well,  are pledging themselves to work on Lenny's story. And this will surely (at least that's my feeling) lead to some beautiful Lenny moments, with the return of romantic ninja Leonard and Penny showing Leonard why she loves him and that she accepts him as the nerd he is, with his action figures and passion for comic books and sci-fi movies. I know they love each other and know that they don't need to break up, to know that they don't want to loose the other and I can't wait to see the beautiful outcome of their efforts and their journey.

I think the idea of Sheldon creating a RA is a very bitter pill to swallow. Like they needed Sheldon involved. But despite the slap in the face I feel I got. I now feel this is a good thing. As long as Sheldon stays out of it. And minds his own business. While I don't agree with the premise, not one bit. I do believe they arare addressing finally the issues with Lenny. And the invetiable mid temporar crisis in their relationship. Another point of view is this a good thing. Shows Penny cares. ALOT. While I don't ageee they lack passion to the point needing a RA. In the long term I think this is a good thing. Even if we don't all see it right now. I'm willing to give it the Benefit of the doubt. And @Itwasdestined. Thank you. You always a bring perspective. In a storm of madness. I agree going back to the old playbook. But it's a roller coaster. It's obvious the roller coaster we'll have a safe landing in the end. So why not just take the bumps. They have always written Lenny realistically. Ain't this realistic? Anyway.
