[Spoilers] Lenny:Season 10

Recommended Posts

Was busy last night, so I missed a new episode for the 1st time in at least 5 years. Just finished watching and I was a little upset with Penny's bitching about Leonard. No 2 people are going to live together for a while, and not have some complaints. But at the same time, TPTB let Penny get very animated about them, instead of just calmly showing Sheldon that every couple has minor differences. Didn't like the tone of that scene one bit. Doesn't mean there's a problem, but sometimes Penny needs to not take her problems to her strange, pseudo-sibling. I find any Penny/ Sheldon one on one scenes very uncomfortable and unneeded these days. Seems the writers just like thumbing there noses at the Lenny and Shamy crowds every once in a while.

The one thing I did like was they are united in keeping Shamy living together, thus finally living alone as a married couple.

I'm not a Penny apologist and there have been months at a time when I won't speak to her when I think she was mean or hurtful to The PopTart, BUT, I got the sense that she was over-exaggerating her complaints about Leonard as a way to empathize with the crazy new neighbor. Kind of a , "Yeah., We all go through that kind of stuff when we first live with a SO. So, you aren't alone and it's not really a big deal."

And, he does think she's perfect. And I love that about him.

God what is wrong with me..gifNothing. You"re perfect.

Can I have some of that lemonade? :shy:

Leonard wouldn't have known what Penny was saying to Sheldon. On a separate but related issue. What's up with Leonard's snoring. First we have Penny telling Sheldon "Leonard doesn't snore", Then we have the deviated septum op because his snoring was bad and now we have the snoring again.

What is continuity???

That's how I saw it as well, I just hated the overall tone of the episode because it seemed like one gigantic bitch fest. Not just from Sheldon and Penny, but from everyone. It just wasn't funny to me, it was like, "Jeez, lighten up, people!" I get what they tried to accomplish with the episode, but I didn't like how they did it.

The way everyone sometimes talks about each other makes me wonder why any of them hang out. Leonard said Sheldon is "the worst" and basically ruins your life, which - trust me - I agree with most of the time, but... why are you friends again? The writers seem to really love when they're all mean, but it's only funny when it's balanced out with a lot of sweetness and that's lacking, IMO. It's 85% bitching and 15% sweetness. Change, please.

I guess it's still because Sheldon did save his life and didn't rat him out to Homeland Security when he had that fuel tank exploding in the elevator.

I don't agree with all of what you are saying but I would agree whatever spark Leonard and Sheldon had in terms of a friendship has been lost in recent episodes (maybe going back even further than that). It's all snark and bitching from what I've seen at the moment, the writers need to have them do something fun together you know as friends actually do.

I really liked how Leonard's hands were literally glued on Penny's leg in the opening scene. If Shamy wouldn't have rushed in, I bet Leonard's hand would have wandered higher on her leg and their TV evening on the sofa would have turned into a hot love making session on the sofa. :icon_cheesygrin:

And we know that Lenny already had amorous adventures on the sofa. Aquaman can prove that. :icon_cheesygrin:

That comment brings something to mind, I think we have seen both of them on the couch, with a blanket on them a couple times, so wouldn't be funny if Amy and Sheldon came in to find them under their blanket,  but you could just see their bare shoulders.  They could squirm under the blanket while they talked and Penny could nonchalantly reach her hand out to grab a piece of cloth (panties) while they talk.

That would be great. Why don't you belong to the BBT's writers staff? :shy:

Am I the only one who found Penny and Leonard's snark about each other to Shamy kinda endering? Maybe charming. 99% of the time we see a mutually loving relationship. But I know they are not perfect, they are imperfect. That is why they are together, they love each other for who they are. For Better, or for worse. I love how realistically written they are. I even love Penny moaning about Leonard, and vice versa Leonard about Penny. It's all the quirks that make then uniquely them, So I don't know I kinda laughed when Penny was moaning, and Leonard was. I found it endering, because you know despite all that Leonard became the love of her life. And she coulden't imagine herself with anyone else. That is just me though. Looking forward to seeing Leonard and Penny at comcic con.

I'll say this: the real test of a relationship begins when you get past the can't-keep-your-hands-off-each-other phase, when you start to notice all those things that bug you about your partner. Lenny seem to be perfectly fine with each other. Yes, they'll always drive each other nuts over certain stuff, but they'd also happily marry each other 5 more times.

Her name was not  Hofstadter when she was making that movie but we do not know her maiden name so I guess we have to go with it:icon_razz:

The creator of this DVD cover (me :icon_wink:) has decided that the release date is relevant for the name. And at the time of the release, which is today, the name is Penny Hofstadter.
