I, for example, voted for ON over Bath Item and Adhesive Duck. It's not even because I like the  Shamy part in ON 'cause I don't. It's simply because I hate episodes which are regarded as "classic" in Shenny shippers' eyes. I'd vote for a rock over a Shenny episode~ And I don't think for one second that my reason made the game less fair or less fun. The ultimate goal of the tournament is for us to show our own preferences. And I've showed mine. 

If ON wins only because of the shipping things, well I can say the same thing about previous winners. We are all biased after all. To somehow suggest that people who voted for ON because of Shamy made the tournament less fair or less fun is unnecessary, and really, petty. 

 

And isn't it equally petty and bizarre to assume, that those who don't like ON or those who think AD or BI are classics, are somehow 'Shenny shippers'  ? I for one, never shipped S/P. Just loved their comic interaction in the older episodes. 

I simply voted for Bath Item because I liked the Lenny bit, the christmas theme and the hug. BI would be my pick even if it had never won a single tournament. Ultimately, I think that ON is overrated just like others think AD or BI are overrated.

What I said was I hate episodes which Shenny shippers claimed to be classics. And I'd like to see those episodes beaten by ON. I never said those who love Bath Item or Adhesive Duck are all Shenny shippers. That's just ridiculous.

What you ship or don't ship has nothing to do with me whatsoever. Why you quoted me and twisted my words and then explained your reasons of voting for certain episodes is beyond me. I'm sure everybody has their own reason. That's exactly the point of my original post. I certainly wasn't talking about anyone in particular and that includes you.

And who are these Shenny shippers that you are referring to? All I see on this forum are Shamy, Lenny, a combo of both or none.  I always thought the idea of TBBT is to laugh. The fact is the funniest moments in the nine years involve Sheldon and Penny. I am a Lenny shipper and I have no problem admitting that.

On this forum partic, their is hardly any Shennys left, anywhere. IT is mostly Shamy fans and Lenny fans, and/or non shippers. I voted Bath Item, and Adhesive Duck. Because 1. I have and always well be a Lenny shipper above all 2. But 2 I have always got a kick out of the Shenny friendship, before you know people started to over sell the dynamic. I love their comic chemistry.  I am fine with people liking other episodes.  We like what we like regardless. For me as a Lenny shippe since day one. I love the SP dynamic, why? Because I am not threatend by it, it is so non threatning to me.

Some Shenny shippers outside the forum. Is it mandatory that when we have discussions, we have to talk about things or people on the forum?

I'm glad that you still find the show funny enough to laugh. I don't, though. However I used to. But because people have different tastes, the episodes you find the funniest, I don't find them funny. I personally prefer Howard and Raj.

What you're saying is exactly the point of my original post (before it was twisted into "People who like BI and AD are all Shenny shippers. Like seriously, what???). You voted for the funniest episode. I voted for ON because I didn't want S/P episodes to win. Some people voted for an episode that have the best quality overall. Some voted for Shamy/Lenny/Shenny. Hell maybe there are people who voted for Cinnamon. 

None of these reasons made the tournament less fair or less fun. None of these reasons deserves to be made sarcastic comments about. Every reason is a part of the final result. No one's reason is more superior than others' as this is a "choose your favorite" tournament.

Only about 20% of the voting involves people here on the forum.  The rest come from those who follow the main site on Twitter or Facebook.   There are also those who are members here, but are no longer active in the forums, but come for the main site.

Yes and yes. In fact IMO the only bit of ON worth watching is Penny breaking the wine glass. Sidelining Penny in favour of Amy is watering the beer. But it's happened a lot in S9. What's going on? The relative salaries show that the makers know who the star is, so why don't they use her more? It's not like they paid by the minute onscreen.

I don't think they sideline Penny in favour of Amy. Sheldon perhaps gets a disproportionate number of story lines and Amy is closely tied to Sheldon.

Penny got more time at the end of season 9 and she should be front and centre in 10.1.

Yes. I didn't vote for my favorite since neither ON nor AD is my favorite. I can't vote for an episode that's not in the contest, can I. I just voted for the episode whose winning doesn't make me want to puke. So yeah, ON is not my favorite out of all the episodes but I still voted for it because I hate Sheldon/Penny episodes and I don't hate ON. Relatively, this made ON my "favorite" episode between the two.
