This could be due to the presidential press conference last night or the drop could be for other reasons. Don't know at this time. I'll look at the trend next week to check. And in third was Mom, with 7.51 million viewers, down 190,000 viewers, from last weeks number three. In the 18-34 demo, TBBT and Grey's Anatomy were tied for first with a 1.4, down a tenth from last week's number one show. In third was How to Get Away with Murder, both the 9 PM and 10 PM episodes came in at 1.1, down a tenth from last week's number three show. In the 25-54 demo, TBBT was first with a 4.1 demo, up a tenth from last week's number one show. In second was Grey's Anatomy with a 2.5, even with last weeks number 2 show, and for third, there was The Great Indoors with a 2.3, down a tenth from last week's third place show. Thursday viewing overall continues to fall. Grey's lost half a million from last week. This is the first time TBBT has been below 14 million for two straight new episodes since the last two episodes of season five. Tensor would iit be better when they come back next season just to stck to Monday night it seems Thursday night its not a good night for viewing its same in Australia Thursday nights are always low in viewing

In terms of overall viewership? Viewing Levels on Friday and Saturday are the lowest of the week. I don't have the full HUT(Households using televisions). The best I can do is show the percentage of US homes tuned to Broadcast networks. Each Percentage point is equivalent to 1.2 million homes. As for people, that 14.7 household rating on Thursday, is around an average of 20.13 million people. Remember, these are averages, and individual time periods may have more or less than these: Sunday 11.7 (Sunday is lower as the CW network does not broadcast on Sundays. Monday 15.3 Tuesday 17.9 Wednesday 15.0 Thursday 14.7 The last three weeks on Thursday, with basically the same shows, have been: 23 Feb 14.7 16 Feb 15.8 09 Feb 16.2 As you can see, Broadcast viewing has gone down, for the last three weeks. With fewer households watching, there are fewer potential audience members.
serena_1995 Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 Any particular reason why ratings for "Allowance Evaporation" and "Comic Con Conundrum" were low ? They scored around 2.8. Last year around this time the episode about Sheldon's birthday , Celeberation Experimentation, aired and it pulled 16 million viewers and a 3.8 demo rating. A drop of almost 1 whole point. A drop of almost 1 whole point. Contrary to what @skull said, the 3.8 for last years 200th episode, was among a run of six straight 3.8 demos. Last year those six episodes also had an average of ~15.8 million viewers, a drop of over 2 million, compared to the last two episodes this year. There is only going to be one more new episode running before Daylight Savings Time starts. The history of the show's ratings shows that after DST starts, there is an average drop of three to five tenths of demo point, so we could be looking at demo ratings in the mid twos, for the last five or six episodes this year. Now, even with this being said, the show is still number one for non-sports shows at 3.29 for demo (although the last two weeks have brought it closer to Empire's 3.21 demo, which comes back on the air in March). So we'll have to see how things go. It's also currently number one for viewers in Live + 7. However, again, the last two weeks have brought it down closer to NCIS. Current trends would have This is Us taking over the highest demo for Live + 3 and Live + 7 on a weekly basis, although the yearly will be between TBBT and Empire. For viewers, it will be between NCIS and TBBT for all three measures (Live + SD, Live + 3, and Live + 7) for the year. Final ratings will not be available until Monday. Sorry for any inconvenience.
