Top ten in 25-54 Women:

          Show                                             25-54 Women Rating

  1. TBBT                                                           3.3

  10. Entertainment Tonight                              1.4

I've gotten the question as to why the 25-54 rating.   For daytime shows, the women 25-54 is the more important ratings.  As you can see, TBBT still does rather well with this demo.   There is a show called Weekend Adventure.  It is a group of nature programs broadcast during the day on weekends for kids.  I've pulled it as it is not late Afternoon/early evening programming.

  3. Wheel of Fortune                                   6.1
  4. Jeopardy                                                  5.9
  5. TBBT                                                         4.9

  9. Modern Family              Weekend          3.2
  10. Entertainment Tonight                           3.1

Top ten in 25-54 Women:

          Show                                             25-54 Women Rating

  1. TBBT                                                           3.0
  2. Family Feud                                               3.0

  9. Jeopardy                                                      1.8
  10. Entertainment Tonight                              1.5

Week 31 Overnights and Demo Breakouts for 20 April, 2017

Any show name or mention of a show last week, that includes a "*",  indicates that show was a repeat.  This will be helpful for comparing the numbers between weeks.

CBS ran a repeat TBBT* at 8 PM, 10.09 The Geology Elevation.  It pulled in a 1.3, with an 6 share and 11.55 million viewers.  This was down 1.1 demo points, down three in share, and down 3.15 million viewers from last week's new show.

TBBT* was still number one in demo with a 1.3, although this was tied by Scandal  This was down 1.1 points from last week's number one.     In third, there was a tie between  The Great Indoors* and Master Chef with a 1.0, down four tenths from last week's number three show.

Week 31 Final Ratings For Friday, April 21, 2017.  For broadcasts, 20 April, 2017

* Indicates a repeat

At 8:00 PM, the repeat episode of TBBT*, 10.09, The Geology Elevation  brought in a 1.3 with  8.45 million viewers.  This was even with the overnight in demo but down 1.2 points from last week's new episode.      For viewers, the 8.45 million  was up by 50,000 from the overnights, but down by 3.44 million from last week's new episode.

In a tie for first place, for demo, was TBBT* and Scandal with a 1.3  This was even in demo from the overnights, but down 1.2 from last week's first place show.  In third, was a tie between The Great Indoors* and Masterchef Junior with a 1.0.  This was even with the overnights,  but down three tenths from from last week's number three show.

For viewers, TBBT* was number one with those 8.45 million viewers.  This was up 50,000 from the overnights, but down 3.44 million from from last week's number one show. The Great Indoors* was second with 7.19 5.47 million viewers.  This was down 130,000 viewers from the overnights, and down 1.72 million  viewers from last week's second place show.  Scandal was in third 5.11 million, up 60,000 viewers from the  overnights, but down 1.73 million viewers from last week's number three show.

I'll point out the obvious that a repeat of TBBT and a repeat of the show following TBBT were both in the top three in demo, and were the top two in viewers.

  • 2 weeks later...

For a variety of reasons, some even outside my control, I have not done a ratings post in two weeks.   My apologies.   Anyway, last week, TBBT had a 2.4 overnight, and picked up two tenths to finish at a 2.6 for the finals.

Last night, the show was up four tenths in their Household ratings, from last week, with a 2.4 demo and 11.88 million viewers.   That looks bad, and if it stays, it will be another series low (but remember the pickup of two tenths last week).  However, that 2.4 will make TBBT the only show that will be above a 2.0 this week.  Empire fell to a 1.9, The Voice was at 1.8, Modern Family was at1.7.   And that 11.88 million?  Number 2 for the week, and one of only four shows over 10 million (NCIS at 12.88 was number one, the other two shows were just above 10 million.

I'll do a review of the final ratings today, and over the next several days, I'll put up the regular posts, to catch up with the posts I've missed (along with the archives).

Finals for last night were 8 PM new episode was up a tenth to a demo of 2.5.  This was down a tenth from last week and tied a series low.  For viewers it was up 510,000 viewers to 12.39 million, down 490,000 from last week.  Again, I stress that TBBT was the only show to break a 2.0 rating this week.   And the 12.39 million viewers was one of only two series to break 12 million.

At 8:30 the repeat pulled in a 1.6, which was the third highest for the night.  It finished second for the night with 9.00 million viewers.   An interesting sidenote, the repeat at 1.6 beat 17 out of the 21 episodes so far, of The Great Indoors. And two of those were the premiere and the second show.
