I think as CBS's sorta new single cam it works because its more snarky than the single cam more warm & fuzzy family stuff over on ABC (ABC has really wheelhoused that genre right now) Count me among those quirky followers. Tensor Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 There were some trying to figure out how many episode we will get in December. So, I promised I would list the previous seasons air dates for December. So here we go: Season one: None, this was in the middle of the writers strike Season two: Two, shows on the 8th and 15th. No shows on the 1st, 22nd and 29th Like this year, Thanksgiving was on the 24th of November, however, the show was on Mondays. Season three: Two, shows on the 7th and 14th. No shows on the 21st and 28th. Thanksgiving was on the 26th. The show was on Mondays, and there was no show on November 30th. Season four: Two, shows on the 9th and 16th. No show no the 23rd and 30th. There was also no show on December 2nd, the Thursday after Thanksgiving. The show had moved to Thursdays this year. Season five: One show on the 8th. No show on the 15th, 22nd, and 29th. Also no show on the 1st, the Thursday after Thanksgiving. Season six: Two, shows on the 6th and 13th. No show on the 20th and 27th. However, there was a show on the 29th of November, the Thursday after Thanksgiving, the only time this has happened. Season seven: Two, shows on the 5th and 12th. No shows on the 19th and 26th. The 5th was the week after Thanksgiving. Season eight: One show on the 11th. No shows on the 18th and 25th. There was also no show on the 4th, the Thursday after Thanksgiving. Season nine: Two, shows on the 10th and 17th. No shows on the 24th and 31st. Also, there was no show on the 3rd, the Thursday after Thanksgiving. The show on the 17th was the latest the show has been broadcast in December. Season ten: No show on the 24th of November (Thanksgiving, although the other CBS comedies will air on Thanksgiving. That would leave the 1st, the 8th and the 15th as air dates. (I'm not seeing them air a new episode on the 22nd or the 29th). Mirs pointed out that publicity has said that Christopher Lloyd's episode will air on the 1st. So, based on previous years, I would think it will be the 8th, with no episode on the 15th. While there is very little turn time for 10.12, which tapes on the 6th, they could have it for the 15th. However, since the first taping of next year is on the 10th of January, it wouldn't be ready until the 19th at the earliest. it means they need 10.12 and 10.13 for the two episodes in early January. The first taping in January (10.14) wouldn't be ready until the 19th at the earliest. So, it makes more sense to not air the show the last two weeks of January, and to use 10.14 on the 2nd of February, the first week of February sweeps. Tensor Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 Week 10 Overnights and Demo Breakouts for 25 November, 2016 Due to the American Thanksgiving Holiday, the Household and top 25 were not available today. They should return next week. There was a special edition of Sunday Night Football, it had a 6.1 demo, with an 18 share, bringing in 18.61 million viewers. CBS ran a repeat of the TBBT episode 10.01 The Conjugal Conjecture. It pulled in a 1.4 demo, with a 5 share and 7.19 million viewers. Since this was a repeat, I'm not going to compare last weeks numbers. A repeat of Rosewood was number one in demo with a 2.5/7, Down six tenths in demo and five points in share from last weeks first run number one show. In second was the repeat of TBBT with that 1.4/5, down five tenths in demo and three in share from last week's number 2 show, a first run. In third was The Great Indoors, with a 1.2/4, down three tenths in demo and one in share from last week. Both this week and last were new show for The Great Indoors. For viewers, the repeat of TBBT was first with the 7.19 million, down 7.02 million from last weeks new show. In second was Rosewood with 6.69 million viewers, down 1.32 million viewers from a first run second place last week. And in third was Mom, with 5.81 million viewers, down 1.81 million, from last weeks number three, which was Mom, both weeks were new shows. In the 18-34 demo, a repeat of Rosewood was in first with a 1.9, up two tenths from last week. A repeat of Pitch was second at 0.9. This was down eight tenths, from last week's new show. A repeat of TBBT tied with a new episode of The Wonderful World of Disney, at 0.8, down two tenths from last weeks new show, at 1.0. In the 25-54 demo, the repeat of Rosewood was first with a 2.2 demo, down a full 2.2 points from last weeks first run, number one show. In second, was TBBT with a 2.1, Down five tenths from last week first run number two show, and there was a tie for third between The Great Indoors and Mom, with a 1.7, down five tenths for both shows. Both show ran a new episode last week and a new episode this week. If you are wondering where Rosewood came from to do so well, it's lead in was the end of FOXs afternoon football game. The finals will not be up until tomorrow, due to the Thanksgiving Holiday. Tensor

Tensor Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 Week 12 Overnights and Demo Breakouts for Monday 05 December, 2016 There was a special, The Victoria's secret fashion show which had a 2.1 with a 7 share, and 6.65 million viewers. CBS ran a Monday repeat of the TBBT episode 0909 The Platonic Permutation at 9:30. It pulled in a 1.4 demo, with a 5 share and 6.37 million viewers. The Voice was number one in demo with a 2.0/7. In second was a new episode of Kevin Can Wait with a 1.5/5. TBBT was in third with that 1.4. For viewers, The Voice was number one with 9.99 million viewers. Kevin Can Wait was second with the 7.17 million. And in third was TBBT, with 6.37 million viewers. In the 18-34 demo, The Voice was in first with a 1.2. There were five shows tied with a 0.8 for second, including TBBT. In the 25-54 demo, The Voice was in first with a 2.8. Kevin Can Wait was in second at 2.1. The TBBT repeat, was third at 2.0. When the finals come in, which shouldn't change much, I'll put those numbers in here, so there won't be a separate post. Tensor Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 Week 12, Syndicated ratings, Wednesday, December 07, 2016 Based on week nine numbers, 21-27 Nov, 2016. For daytime shows, the women 25-54 is the more important ratings. As you can see, TBBT still does rather well with this demo. There is a show called Weekend Adventure. It is a group of nature programs broadcast during the day on weekends for kids. I've pulled it as it is not late Afternoon/early evening programming. CBS ran a repeat TBBT, episode 10.02 The Military Miniaturization. It pulled in a 1.7 demo, with a 6 share and 9.68 million viewers. As this was a repeat, I didn't do the comparison for last week's new show. TBBT* was number one in demo with that 1.7/6, down 1.4 demo and five points in share from last weeks number one show. In second was The Great Indoors with 1.5/5, up a tenth in demo and even in share from last week's number 2 show. A repeat of The Great Indoors was second at 0.8, down two tenths, from last week's number two show*. Mom was at 0.7, even with the four shows that tied for third last week. In the 25-54 demo, the repeat of TBBT* was first with a 2.7 demo, down 1.8 points from last week's, number one show. In second was The Great Indoors with a 2.2, up a tenth from last week's show. In third was Mom, with a 2.1, up a tenth from last week's Mom The average first run show is pulling in around a 1.35 this year, a repeat of TBBT pulled in a 1.7. As usual, Thursday Night Football was ahead of everything, but as it's not entertainments, I usually don't cover it in the overnight and finals.
