Chrismo
Should of been a memorable episode. Very forgettable. Shamy coitus shouldn't been part of the episode. Actually enjoyed Stuart and Raj. Was it me or did Stuart get more screen time than Lenny?
jenafan
I loved every bit of this episode. Shamy is given, but I loved the homage to Debbie Wolowitz.
Judith
Awesome episode, one of the best of the season. Shamy was great and Howardette very heartwarming. Also Kaley's delivery of the annual booty spectacular (I hope I got that right) just about killed me. The only thing I didn't like was Raj revealing the sex of the baby. What an idiot. Oh, and the baby's name. But I love that she shares her birthday with Amy.
RoRo
I liked it. I laughed out loud in several places, found it sweet in places. For me one of the best scenes was in the car and Sheldons remark about how they must be doing something wrong because it took them hours and the look on Amy's face. john2p
Actually I liked it. Not my all time favorite. But I liked the tempo and delivering of all characters. I agree, the revealing part of Raj especially to Howardette was cringy. But overall was good. I actually get the context of Penny`s complaining about lack of passion in their relation much more now. I laughed a lot about the inhaler jokes, but is´s kinda of Leonard needs it more and earlier. It´s a mood killer he needs the inhaler already BEFORE the sex, instead afterwards. He can do some sports. Anyhow the joke about the 5 minute sex, there wasn´t any snarky from Penny. The baby was sweet and hilarious with ms. Wolowitz tribute. Overall it was good. And the coitus storyline of Shamy was sweet, funny and was to me not too much an distraction from the Howardette´s baby story line. and man Penny was on fire with her one liner punchlines. her line on Shamy´s sex was great, and about Leonards "sextalk "on the stairs was really hilarious and sweet alltogether. john2p
BTW I read a comment on FB that would have been really epic and hilarious. Someone mentioned it would have been epic, if SHeldon was forced to help by the delivering of the baby. Imagine that he and Bernadette were by accident together in the car. And she was getting the baby there with Sheldon as only person there. Ow man, that would have been a classical old school Sheldon scene. Ok it makes no sense here, but I was so fascinated by the idea, that I wanted to share it :). Maybe someone can write a fanfiction story about it? serena_1995
If I keep Bernadette's other-species like elephant pregnancy out of my mind and ignore it, I actually liked this episode. I loved Howard and Bernie. It was sweet when he told her he loves her in the car . I loved Howard and Bernie remembering Debbie. I was touched when he said "She would have been the best grandma" and also when Howard made Raj, the godfather. It was a great nod to their long friendship. Simon and Kunal were great. The exchange between Raj and Stuart and Howard were hilarious, but I wish Howard didn't have to rely on them so much. The Shamy plot was playful , funny , romantic and nerdy. Loved seeing them getting into the geeky spirit of things. And in the end, they finished what they started. It was light hearted and fun. Judith
Also I suspect that Bernie's "Do you really need to record this?" was a callback to Isolation Permutation when the girls went dress shopping for her wedding. At the time she was preparing to get married and now to give birth.
spidergirl
I loved every bit of this episode! The baby delivery and Amy' s birthday celebration were nicely told with the right balance between sweetness and comedy tidbits. The shamy sexyness was nicely akward, hot and very them, which I think it was really a mission accomplished. Harry Potter fits nicely for their sexual fantasies! The homage to Mrs Holowitz was beautiful, I got a bit teary eyed in Howardete scene as they were alone in delivery room. The love of Howard and Bernie is one of the things I most like about tbbt, even I have to keep ignoring that the pregnancy longed more than 9 months and the four wheels thing is a bit creepy though. Stuart was very funny in most of scenes, that one he was driving was great! Raj... I loved Howard made him godfather of his daugther, it was a nice way to celebrate their friendship. However the rest, Raj is a lost case, didnt like the way he reacted in hospital with his friends. Okay, maybe he is finaly to realize he needs to do something for not be so miserable emotionally but he stills be immature. So Hallie ( like the name meaning and the 75 years between sex times joke cracked me up) cries in a cry tone of her granny. Love that gang scene as they were looking for the baby in nursery. And Penny is a mess with dates, the woman never remembers birthdays, lol! It was me or Leonard is needing more than ever his innaler?Too much sex or need a new kind of innaler? Overall, this is one of my favourites episodes from this season. Edited December 16, 2016 by spidergirl
3ku11
Ehh bit too clichied and conventional for my tastes. Baby's and TbbT. Hope it's the last we see of the baby lol. Sorry hope to see some old school, traditional episode at least once this season.
SRAM
I think the episode was funny through the whole episode, the only thing I didn't like was more of lonely pathetic Raj, please have Emily, Claire or even the vet lady start dating him again. All these months with the speculation it would be a girl so that Debbie would be one of the baby's names and now it's dismissed in a second. ROTFLMAO. Serves us right. Interesting how the promo and the finished product differed a little: I preferred Bernadette's line in the hospital room about wanting drugs to its being stupid. Don't like the thought of all those babies away from their mothers but I liked the way they used the scene to identify little Wolowitz. My favourite line : 'Hankius-pankius' followed by the look on Amy's face.
veejay
Is there more to say? Oh, of course, the little comet(y), Halley. And yes, I laughed a lot of times.
April
I thought this episode was delightful (to the surprise of no one). The 11 months or so pregnancy is still stupid as hell but Molaro's shiny trinket maneuver works on my like that tiara on Amy. I'm such a sucker for all that cuteness in this episode! Shamy were super adorable and fun - and imho didn't take over the whole episode cause by the middle of it they were already in the car on the way to the hospital. I loved all the Howardette scenes and that Halley was indeed named after the comet (Called it! YAY). The tribute to Howard's mom and Carol Ann Susi's performance was lovely. <3 Everybody else also got some cute and fun moments which I loved as well. koops
Just popping my head in from hibernation to say KUDOS to the writers for making this pregnancy storyline surprisingly enjoyable AND their genius move I've just read to never have the baby on screen and turn her into the new Mrs Wolowitz. That is an absolutely brilliant idea! I am totally not a fan of pregnancy/babies storylines, but boy, did they prove me wrong. All in all, other than some issues I've had with the timing of things (but that was mostly as an after-effect of S9) and (*ducks and covers*) Lenny, I am finding this season to be very refreshing and fun. And this Shamy is giving a hell of run for their money to my all-time favorite S4!Shamy. I don't even know where to start listing all the things I love about them right now because it would take me all day (and I should be working right now!). So I will sum it up with "wowzer!". No Regrets
One of the better episodes of this season. I thought the balance was good, which made it possible for me to even enjoy Sheldon. Leonard and Penny had great lines. The scene where Penny wanted to have sex after Leonard showed her his inhaler was hilarious. They were a great team in this episode. I thought the Shamy stuff was cute. I still don't understand this once-a-year thing they've got going on, but hey, whatever works for them. Howardette were adorable, they're gonna be great parents. Jonny
I really enjoyed it, Veracity Elasticity was probably my favorite episode of this season to date but I think this is up there with it. Posted a rather long winded post in the Shamy thread about how much I enjoyed Shamy in this episode so I won't repeat that here. But I will say I loved their interactions, it was a combination of romance, sexual desire, with some comedy throw in. Plenty of memorable Shamy moments to come from this episode but my favorite without question was the MRI scan and the allure that the brain has in their relationship, it's what makes them unique. It was a truly beautiful gift from scientist to scientist and lover to lover. I'm man enough to admit I almost teared up seeing that. Lenny I thought were playful and had some nice scenes. Asthma humor with Leonard can be funny despite it being a major ailment. Penny's line was hilarious about the annual booty spectacular, but and I may be the ONLY PERSON who thinks this I am not sure Sheldon liked that line at all. There have been several jokes this season about their annual coitus and I got the impression (it could just be me overthinking or misreading this) that the jokes are starting to annoy him. If that is the case I wonder if that may result in some changes in regards to their sex life? Will have to wait and see. Raj I thought was in full douchebag mode for a lot of the episode, him and Stuart seemed to have some pretty nasty banter between them at times. Howard made him godfather so I guess that made him happy in the end. Howardette were brilliant once again this season, such moving scenes especially in regards to Howard's mother but there were also scenes of happiness. Simon and Melissa have acted their socks off this season. Not everyone is a fan of their baby storyline but I was, so to see it being concluded was nice to see and I am now looking forward to seeing what happens next with their new arrival. The weird distinctive baby crying thing I honestly didn't like lol, I get why they did it because of a kind of tribute to Howard's mother but it just felt a bit silly. But that's just me, but I hope I don't hear a noise like that again lol. You can tell you really enjoy an episode when you watch it and time flies and this was one of those for me. I didn't want it to end! Edited December 16, 2016 by Jonny
kimbee73
I really enjoyed this episode. I won't even talk about Shamy because that speaks for itself for this shipper. What I absolutely loved about this episode was the way the writers really did show how much they have made Raj a loser. I mean they were all speaking of how far they had come and there is poor Raj(well not poor, he did bring it on himself) getting all upset about how his life is nothing and how he has done nothing. Well whose fault is it Raj? Yours....I remember a line from Positive/Negative Reaction last season about why Raj wasn't on a team that discovered something big in his field and he was all well instead of doing my job he was making jam for the holidays. And when he should have been working a few weeks ago he was cleaning offices to impress a woman? Well that shows why he has done nothing. He is too busy worrying about his love life and his outside life and not accomplishing anything of significance. Actually as I am writing this I am wondering why he even works at Caltech. Wasn't he working for Sheldon? Oh wait probably another throw away thing these writers did. Well he was sharing Sheldon's office for a while. Stuart actually made me laugh a lot tonight. He can take his friend's insults by making himself feel good(something Raj couldn't handle...oh wait his was the truth) Him asking Raj if he was still a loser had me rolling. Him driving like an old man was funny and just his overall performance killed it. The tribute to Mrs. Wolowitz almost made this non crying person cry. I thought it was very sweet that they considered the name Debbie but realized she hated her name and would not want her granddaughter named after her. Melvina was a funny twist for a middle name(Let's keep thinking) Bernadette was great and very normal for a laboring woman....not over the top like I have seen in other comedies. She was herself with a little more gusto. My favorite line by far was the birthday booty spectacular. Penny and Leonard were very in sync tonight and I really enjoyed them together. All in all a great episode.
Jonny
Raj is a real problem. Sure you get sweetness with him especially when he is utilizing his metrosexual side and caring for others but then you get the 'Ugh Raj!' side of him. I think we got both of that last night, even in the end when Howard made him a godparent he just had to shove it in people's in this case Stuart's face. Not sure what to make of his character right now, at times I find him incredibly annoying and want to tell him to shut the fuck up. He needs a life changing storyline badly.
