yes sheldon is by far the best in the cast, but is just because he is not human, is like spock, they nearly take him off because was too far from humanity ,but it was the most caracteristic one, and the favourite of all people better than kirk, i think the same happen here, i like his personality because is impossible

Leonard, though I think I only love him so much because he lives with Sheldon. They are an inseperable team for me... Oh, and CAST not Character... I'd also have to say Johnny Gaelecki. I like the was he gives Leonard these nervous ticks, like playing with his fingers or smiling gawkly etc. It makes the character seem alive and so much more geeky. :D

Oooo, this is a hard question! I guess Kaley Cuoco because she is the reason I actually sat down and watched the show. My parents tried for a year to watch it saying how funny and nerdy it was, but I just didn't bother watching it until I saw Kaley was in it.

It is hard to judge when one has seen so little of these actors in "real-life"... the only interviews I have seen are the extras from the Season 1 DVD. Based solely on this, I voted for Jim Parsons. He sounded the most mature of all the people in the DVD extra (other than the producers, of course). He admitted that one is extremely lucky to be in a position to make a living as an actor - it is nice to see someone who is very humble about his growing stardom. I have seen some online reports indictating that he was also very humbled to be nominated for an Emmy too. Keep up the good work!!

I tend to believe that characters like Sheldon allow for a more obvious display of acting talent, but they don't actually require more more talent to play. The straight roles like Leonard and Penny are actually quite hard. I voted for Johnny because his character is the heart of the show. He does such a wonderful job of making Leonard this brave guy who knows who he is but refuses to be trapped by what other people think that should mean for him. He reaches out. Johnny plays a line on this character that is so difficult to tread. He has to be cooler than the other guys while still fitting in with them. He has to be aware of this other aspect to life without fully understanding it. He has to long for parts of it while still embracing things he currently loves. Johnny is great. They all are, but he is my fav.

My first post also.

I vote both Sheldon and Leonard. I love them both, tho Sheldon is my favorite.

I've been on youtube, kinda nonstop since I got the second season DVD set for xmas, looking for interviews, and the difference between Sheldon and Jim is crazy.

In the way he speaks and acts he's very much like Sheldon sometimes, but the fact that keeps reminding me of what a great actor he is, is the fact that Sheldon is so confident and almost arrogant, whereas Jim always kinda hunches and is always so humbled by compliments. Love that fact.

And Johnny, because he's just brilliant and funny and I love the life he brings into his character.

And does anyone get the feeling that Kaley kinda gives off a Rachel Green (from Friends) vibe? The way she acts sometimes, her facial expressions, etc. are very much like Rachels sometime. It's not too far off, because she's said that Friends is her all time fav show.. so who knows.

I don't know if it's different anywhere else(it shouldn't be), but in the UK I think that we would call this an "ensemble piece".

All the actors are equally important; yes we have our favourites, but "The Whole"

is not the same if any of the constituent parts are missing.

PENNY!

I don't really see how I could pick anyone else.

Sheldon!!! Jim Parsons that is.

I love him for these little moments like all the Bazingas.. oh and when last time he was told that he won an award, his smile was just incredibly sweet.
