When I read that description it congers up Ramona walking in with the "Imperial March" playing as background music. Reminds me of Raj with background Imperial March. Stephen Hawking Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 (edited) I've not seen the whole episode yet, but I've seen a sneak preview on Youtube. Regarding "Amy has already taken me out of my packaging, and played with me.", all I can say is lucky you! ETA: I've just seen some promo photos, and one shows Raj talking to Ramona. Maybe Raj and Ramona will end up together. Edited May 7, 2017 by Stephen Hawking

SRAM Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 I thought the episode was funny, especially how Penny and Bernadette were trying to help their friend and how the whole gang was trying to help, too. I guess I saw the episode as the gang coming together to help their friends.
xjax Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 Star scenes were hilarious.... I really liked... nice and well done episode...can´t wait for S11
Chrismo Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 (edited) Episode was pretty good all the way to the kiss. After the kiss the episode turned to crap. Feeling guilty Sheldon? By the way Ramona initiated and stopped the kiss. Sheldon DID NOT stop the kiss. Edited May 12, 2017 by Chrismo

serena_1995 Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 (edited) I thought it was a funny episode overall, the group seemed supportive. Bernie and Penny were funny, in particular. The the gang walking Ramona out was the funniest scene of the ep imo. what does Amy have against tall blonde girls ? she didn't know Ramona had interest in Sheldon when she learned that info ; thank Leonard for remembering that Ramona used to follow Sheldon. I was expecting they'll forget her season 2 appearance completely. But somehow Penny forgot what Ramona looked like(??) I was also surprised why Sheldon was so positive towards Ramona and on such good terms with his former stalker. He was all smiles . Did he forget this girl made his life a nightmare 8 years ago and he asked her to GTFO ? Hello ? you would think he would be scared of her. perhaps they became friends offscreen, after all she is his fan. The kiss that Ramona gave Sheldon was a not a quickie. It was kind of a long kiss. why Sheldon doesn't use mouthwash after Ramona kissed him ? He doesn't even mention of the state of hygiene of public pools? Plenty of things I would expect Sheldon to do, he didn't. finally, Raj ended the season on another obligatory lonely Raj note- wondering why he was turned down by Ramona(and women in general). His character didn't have any direction this season - nothing with the Isabella plot, nothing with the feedback he got from his focus group of ex-gfs and nothing major about his career. But most importantly, WHY ARE THEY ALL SO MEAN TO STUART ???????? i guess the obligatory pathetic Stuart joke was needed too. djsurrey Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 Thought it was an excellent episode. The simple explanation is "that is not Sheldon!". Living with Amy has changed Sheldon dramatically, but it is still him and he only has eyes for Amy.
jenafan Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 My favorite part was the "mario kart" down the stairs. I loved Amy comparing her sex life with Sheldon to getting ketchup out of a bottle and now being worried it will flow now at the mere sight of someone else's French fries. The act of Sheldon going from the stolen kiss to Amy's door with the ring was not as climatic as I had thought, but it was reassuring to know how confident Sheldon is about who he wants in his future. bfm Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 (edited) I am really split on this episode. Generally I think it was very good, I had LOLs and enjoyed the gang all together helping their friends, and of course the end (I'll get to that later). However, there were various things that annoyed me very much, especially about the awful treatment of Leonard and Penny: 1. So they're doing fat jokes about Leonard now? Really? That was SO cheap and I didn't laugh at any of these stupid jokes. I was just annoyed. What is this, Mike and Molly? Are the writer that desperate? It felt like Johnny himself was thinking that, he looked so not into it. 2. Of course Leonard doesn't get any credit for being a good friend and wanting to call Amy and actually doing it, in contrast to Penny which in a very OOC fashion suddenly can't interrupt Sheldon and Ramona (IMO even casuals would expect Penny to go there and put end to that madness!). For those who ask why some people think the writers hate Leonard, this is one great example. For Penny it wasn't hate but they seemed to forget who she is. I get that she Amy scared her so she wouldn't call her but Sheldon and Ramona? Come on. 3. One of the things that bothered me the most was Sheldon's digs on Leonard and Lenny. He was totally over the line! He can't see fault in himself so he projects it onto Leonard. He was doing things which were previously restricted to his girlfriend only but Leonard is about to cheat when he asks Ramona if she has a boyfriend or calls his friend and neighbor when she is away. Now, by saying it I don't mean that Sheldon knowingly, consciously did something wrong. Projecting doesn't mean he is aware of that, so please don't come at me. 4. Sheldon was way too infantalized in this episode. I do like "Child Sheldon" jokes and did LOL on some of those tonight, but it is all about doses. This one was too much. 5. They were way too mean to Stuart. So the good parts: The gang working together to help their friends. I enjoyed that a lot. They are at their best together. The stairs scene was great. Bernadette was my MVP, undoubtedly. Her reaction to Penny suggesting Sheldon had developed sexual appetite was awesome, as well as "I threw my body" (or whatever that line was). Amy on Skype was also great (The ketchup bottle line cracked me up!) . Mayim should define herself as an actor specializing in Skype scenes haha She had so many great Skype scene throughout the show. Penny's reactions in her talk with Sheldon were great as always, Kaley nailed it. The painting of course is always welcome by me, although I would like to see how it got back to 4B (I do find it believable, Lenny were probably determined to get rid of it, I just think it could have been hilarious seeing how they did it). The final scene was so simple yet so touching. I almost teared up when Amy opened the door and there was Sheldon on one knee, with a determined look in his eyes. And I'm a Shamy supporter, no shipper, so I'm guessing for some Shamy shippers the waterworks worked hard. One thing I don't like about the proposal in an advertising perspective is that they insist it is a cliffhanger. IMO, it is a surprise but in no way a cliffhanger. Aren't there about 88% she'll say yes? So why pretened her answer is uncertain? Can we just imagine the absolute outrage if the writers made fat jokes about Amy? It's not funny when it happens to women and it's also not funny when it happens to men. Body. Shaming. Is. Not. Funny. Not under any circumstances. Man do I wish Johnny had walked away from this show.

It wasn't body shaming per se so it helps them get away with it but come on...portraying him as so enthusiastic about a Toblerone (when he wasn't portrayed as a chocoholic/food enthusiast in early seasons)...the message is clear. Even if you make tons of money, it can't possibly be great to be in front of millions and have someone point out how much weight you've gained and haha, look how eager you are to eat that Toblerone, fatty! Ugh. And just to stay on topic: Amy will say yes, no doubt.

Aw ok, well I didn't see those as a fat jokes at all! Just curious if anybody else felt the same way? Don't get me wrong, I do think the writers treat Leonard like crap a lot, but this story line in particular I didn't think it was one of those moments! (Or maybe I'm just clueless like Sheldon) But I do think that would be really rude/awkward towards Johnny, idk how these things are handled in the tv industry tbh, but unless he has some clause in his contract that he has to maintain certain body image , I think it's super awkward for the writers to mention Leonard's weight in any way
Kathy2611 Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 I think I read somewhere that he stopped smoking. That will cause you to put on some pounds. But no i didn't take it as fat jokes or fat shaming. He was just more interested in the fact that Sheldon got a candy bar. And an unusual one (I never heard of it) at that.
bfm Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 (edited) A Toblerone is nothing unsusual, it is like the candy bar people "traditionally" buy when they get back from being abroad. When you add these jokes to previous one about him not wanting to work out and not saying he doesn't need to eat healthy because he is married, and add that except for joking about him being weak and asthmatic hence no excercising (which was not mentioned in "The Separation Agitation") these jokes weren't there in previous seasons, it just... They didn't go straightforward with it but it is quite clear what they aare hinting at. Edited May 12, 2017 by bfm
3ku11 Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 I think they replaced the Penny is a slut jokes. With Leonard sucks at life jokes lol. RE His Job, His Education, His looks, His Weight. I mean sure Johnny has gained some weight over the years. But I Hope the show drop all these jokes in S11. Including Penny was worn down. When their is more evidence to suggest Leonard wore Penny down. And Penny grovelled.
