Stephen Hawking Posted October 14, 2017 Posted October 14, 2017 Exactly six seasons, to the episode, since they met, and Sheldon proposes to Amy.

I assumed at the time she had two on board or was more than two months gone. Could be neither, perhaps just an optical illusion. The episode was filmed in April and with her having the baby somewhen now in autumn (with the show already writing in a scenario for her maternity leave so I guess it's not that long for her anymore) there really wouldn't be anything to see at that point back then. Also, not every hint of a tummy on a woman means pregnancy. Sometimes it's just a good lunch or a different posture. Human bodies a fun like that.

After Ramona & Sheldon left, Penny pointed out that that was what they were supposed to prevent. Bernadette’s reply: “I threw my body at them. What else could I do?!” (or words to that effect) Was priceless and hilarious! 2

I'm guessing it's another example of the writers not caring what they had previously written.
