'Roseanne' Revival in the Works

Recommended Posts

We do seem to the the era of revivals and bringing back popular and much loved shows. X-Files came back and is back next year, Prison Break was brought back, Heroes came back for a limited run rumors abound of plenty of other shows coming back for potential mini series. Doesn't just apply to TV, in other parts of culture such as music acts are reforming.

Networks struggling that much they are having to bring back these shows because their current projects just aren't hitting those past heights? Taking advantage of this heavy nostalgia era?

Watched Roseanne a bit in the early to mid 90's.

A lot of them are airing on  Netflix or some other Online streaming site and that where they are going not TV Networks.

Funny alot of these 90's classics returning on Netflix. Friends is the only top comedy of the 90's that doesen''t seem well ever make a return to TV. I wonder if Johnny well be part of this Roseanne Revival? You have to beleive he well.

When reruns are on, I find myself watching for the rest of the ensemble cast rather than the leading lady herself. I'll definitely check out the revival, and hope that Johnny at least makes an appearance. I always enjoyed Darlene and David together.

Roseanne Revival: Meet Darlene and David's Son Mark

Here’s hoping Roseanne likes the sound of the word “Grandma.”

ABC’s forthcoming Roseanne revival has hired its first new cast member to join returning vets Roseanne Barr, John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Sara Gilbert, Michael Fishman, Lecy Goranson and Sarah Chalke. TVLine has learned exclusively that newcomer Ames McNamara has been tapped for the series-regular role of Mark, Darlene and David’s 8-year-old son.

<snip>

McNamara’s hiring comes as efforts continue to lure his TV dad, Big Bang Theory‘s Johnny Galecki, back to his former sitcom as a guest-star. “We are in productive talks and are hopeful it will work out,” Gilbert tells TVLine.

Roseanne: First Photos From Set of ABC Revival — Who's Missing?

“Whereeeeeee’s Johnny?” are among the handful of words that come to mind upon glimpsing the first photos from the set of ABC’s forthcoming Roseanne revival.

The network on Tuesday released a pair of images (see below) from the comedy’s inaugural table read, and the gang is mostly all there… with the exception of co-star Johnny Galecki (David), whose participation in the eight-episode continuation remains up in the air due to his commitment to The Big Bang Theory. Last month, Galecki’s "Roseanne" wife Sara Gilbert, who serves as an EP on the revival, told TVLine, “We are in productive talks [with Johnny] and are hopeful it will work out.”
