Series Final

What do you think the Series Final plot should be? OR want it to be? Shamy getting married may happen before the series final, I am not sure yet. Leonard waking up and the whole show was his dream sequence. Has always fasinated me. I am not saying I want it to happen. I am just saying I don't know, I would get a kick out of it. I do like the idea of a Noble Prize thing too. Something revolved around Shelnard's career. Maybe they get a Noble Prize, for something they were working on. Penny's career success could be focused on too. TBH when it comes to Penny giving Birth. I see them creating a scenario where Leonard slips over and hits his head, goes unconcious. And Sheldon is the Midwife LOL. Or if Shelnard got a Noble Prize. Sheldon would probably just take credit heh.

I love the idea of Leonard and Sheldon receiving a joint Nobel, particularly if Leonard's name goes first on the plaque.  You know they would fight about that throughout eternity. Maybe we see them living together as two old men, still fighting about their billing, and in the background there's a TV monitor with a reporter interviewing a glamorous Penny--we don't know why.

Sheldon and Leonard are way to young to be considered to get the Nobel prize, it usually takes 20-30 years from your breakthrough in science until you get the Nobel prize in the real world, but I also highly doubt Tptb care about reality, so I guess everything in the end is possible.

It doesen't need to be in real time. They can just fast forward 15-20 years or something.

I think they could combine several of these. Shelnard wins a Nobel prize; Lenny's smart, and beautiful, child is born, and; Lenny and Shamy move out of the building. As they're leaving their respective apartments for the last time, the elevator opens on the 4th floor and two geeky looking characters get out looking for 4A.

Yeah I see that happening too. Although I imagine the final scene akin to your last point. But camera cuts to the hallway. And A Girl moves in. Two Geeks say Hi. And camera fades.

True.  You get the Nobel in your 50s+ for work you did in your 30s.

iT Doesent matter if Nobel prizes are in your 50's. they can easily fast forward 20 or so years.

I voted dream sequence although I was thinking more along the lines of a series of daydreams from a high school nerd crushing on a blond cheerleader. In this scenario Young Sheldon is real and young Leonard also lives in Texas but wishes he was some place else. Actual consistency with TBBT does not mater as it is just a sequence of daydreams.

Possible. Or, the tall, skinny geek tells the shorter one that this building will be a great place to meet girls. To which the shorter one sarcastically remarks the only place the tall one will meet a girl is in his dreams...

I have always been intrigued by the idea of Leonard wakes up and the entire show was a dream sequence. Just the fact I don't know I like controversial endings. I loved the HIMYM Finalie. Although I am not sure what was controversial about it. Barney and Robin breaking up, and Ted and Robin ending up together seemed pretty predictable to me. But point is. Alot has happened in this show since Leonard innocently met the hot girl next door. So going off "Our babies well be smart and beautiful". IT is quite plausible that Leonard wakes up to find out he dreamnt the whole thing. Wakes up Sheldon mocks him for thinking he ever had a shot. Penny has moved out e.t.c. The show ends with Leonard and Penny walking past each other some where, and they stop like they recognise each other. But then keep walking. And show ends. That would be like a kick into the cahonies of anything who has invested in this show all these years lol. So I don't see that finalie eventuating. They want the show to be syndicated for decades, to keep making money off the show. So they woulden't risk pissing off their entire fanbase. But I do see some kinda dream sequence in the finalie. Maybe a future sequence of Lenny and their kids. Maybe the kids grow up. And the girl meets a Leonard type. And the show ends. You know maybe Lennys daughter moves into 4B. Maybe Their son is also ends up dating Howardette's daughter .

 I would hate a waking from a dream if they are not together. I suggested a dream from which Penny wakes up next to Leonard. 

I do like the kids thing I would love seeing flash forwards. Halley would be too old for Lenny's son though, age doesn't matter that much when you're older but they will know each other from childhood and 2+ year differences are important at that time. But maybe Lenny's daugther and Howardette's future son? Then Penny could say she deserves final say about the wedding and grandkids because she is the one who brought Howardette together so their son wouldn't exist without her  LOL

Really? You think it would make a difference if their is a 2 year difference. When Halley is 20, and Lennys son is 18. Because they knew each other in childhood? Why would that make difference? 

I see the Series Final as it is Homaging the pilot. But who knows at this stage. Dream Sequences may play a role.

When you're, say, 15, a 13 year old is a little kid to you. This is of course true for younger ages. It is hard to change such a perception after many years.

Picking up on what you said I think it would be an interesting thing to have a series finale in which all roles are reversed in which Penny is the nerdy one, Leonard is the hunky one, Sheldon is the humble one, Amy is the hot one, Raj and Stewart are players and can't keep the women off them, and Howard is the dominant in his marriage to Bernadette, and she's the submissive one. I think those would be interesting options to explore. Basically all the actors playing against character.

Yeah I have been thinking about something like that for an episode, maybe not the finale. Maybe the gang imagining how that would be.

Maybe Shamy's son moving across from Lenny's daughter who is a pseudo-big sister for him, thus recreating the Leonard/Penny-Sheldon dynamic.

Howardette will probably have more than one child. No reason there couldn't be a daughter younger than Lenny's oldest son.  All the gang have talked about having 'children', 'kids' or 'babies' in the plural. Although there's only one baby so far, we could see a horde of them if they show a fast-forward into the future.

The owners will never make any more money after the final episode if they make out it's all a dream. Nobody's going to buy DVDs and merchandise if they can't spend the next two decades pretending the people in TBBT are real. I'd stop watching now if I thought 'Oh what an interesting dream'  would be how it would end.

OH know of course. They want the show to be syndicated for decades. They won't make money off a "Show is a dream sequence" Finalie. I have always been fasinated by the concept that is all. 

Most likely show well homage the pilot. Lenny well get their smart and beautiful babies. And fast forward 20 years or something.

I personally don't see the issue if their is two years difference between them as children. When they well be adults later in life.

I've always thought that the world of academia or work in Penny's case will split them up in terms of living near each other at the end of the show. Leonard, Penny, Amy or Sheldon getting a position somewhere across the country or perhaps even abroad and their spouse moving with them. It could be set up that their spouse gets a position in the same area. 

I would expect Howardette to stay in their current area and raise their family. Raj I have zero clue the guy has no real aspirational depth to him and his love life is such a mess. Wouldn't surprise me if Raj goes back to India and maybe settles down there.

Always pictured them in my head getting together frequently over the years, perhaps holidaying together and visits as they have a deep friendship that will last.
