It seems it's an interesting episode. I would love to see the cards! And now that we have a date and a probable venue(which I think it's a really big step for shamy and the writers), sorry I have to bring up an old topic, when will we get to meet Amy's family members? We only know those aunt names and a blessing from Amy's dad so far.

I agree, we shouId meet Amy's parents before the big day! This seems to be kind of a "formaI" wedding, so I imagine that (unIess the writers come up with some Iast minute shocker that makes Shamy's pIans change) we'II meet them at the ceremony, with Amy's father giving the bride away. But, after so much time, I think Amy deserves an episode focusing on her and on her background properIy. I wonder how "big" this wedding is going to be, I'm not very keen to a guest star packed event, TBH, I'd Iike something in between the "size" of Howardette's wedding and Ienny's redo...

Or perhaps a double episode so that it's not all crammed into 18-20 minutes ?

Right, Amy truly deserves a background ep of her own, the writers make up an amazing role like her then it's their duty to prefect it. And don't worry about how big the wedding will be, cause Sheldon's gonna take part in it, where there's a Sheldon, there's 'the big'. Yeah sth middle will do. I kinda get excited picturing Mayim wearing a wedding dress!

So a finale wedding huh? I had a feeling Do you guys think it will be a two-parter? Do you think we'll see any relatives we hadn't seen?

I think it wiII be two-parter in the sense  Ienny redo was, we see the day (or the hours) immediateIy before the wedding  in one episode and the actuaI ceremony the other...possibly in the same season, no cliffhanger!!! As for the relatives, as I said before, Amy's parents shouId be there, as weII as SheIdon's mum. Had I a say in it, I wouldn't add any more characters, maybe some friends Iike Stuart, Kripke or WiI Weathon (not aII of them, though!) But I have the feeIing more Coopers wiII show up,  Meemaw and one or both SheIdon's siblings, they have to advertise YS after aII! 

If I have to choose, Amy's family over SheIdon's, Mary apart!!!

I wouldn't mind seeing (adult) Missy again, I liked her. However, I hope they won't introduce many new characters. In Lenny's redo three new characters were too much. The episodes are only 18 minutes long, that barely fits the existing regulars.

Agree with @mirs1 about the two - parter storyplot for wedding ceremony and also that could have not too much guest stars. 

Amy's family is a must have imo as I have said often

For the Sheldon's family, my money is in Mary and in his  sibblings or Just Georgie.  Imo it would be fun to see Sheldon's interaction with his brother these days. We might have a nice surprise about how they get along after Amy had been in Texas , who knows?

For me it's the contrary; as much as I Iike "young" Missy, I didn't Iike the actress who pIayed aduIt Missy...So, I wouId be more curious to meet George, hoping that this time TPTB choose better,  TBH I think they are very good in casting parents, but they have failed me with siblings so far...

From a drama writing perspective there should be a cliffhanger to keep everyone on board, shouldn’t there be? It might be happening that they split the wedding into two halves and resolve it at the beginning of season 12.

If the writers are planning on bringing in new characters,  Amy's parents, Sheldon's brother etc, then I really hope it's done in a pre wedding episode because, honestly, I want the actual wedding episode to be focused on Shamy.

Yeah Amy's parents and Mary would be enough for me. With YS being on I don't think you can rule out George Junior making an appearance, but if he turns up and not Amy's parents I will not be happy.

Like @mirs1 said, I think it would be best to introduce Amy's parents before the wedding. Mainly because I think it would be cool to see them interact with Amy and Sheldon, more so Amy for me as I so want to get a feel for what sort of relationship she has with them. An introduction could provide a perfect Amy storyline focus which would be rare considering naturally most stories are told for Sheldon to react to or have an impact on. And secondly I don't want to see the parents introduction have too much of an impact on the wedding which it did during Leonard and Penny's Renewal of Vows Ceremony, I think they got it wrong that time and some reviews reflected that.

I dunno, I think most people expect them to get married if you have seen how they are with each other the past couple of seasons. And they had an opportunity earlier this season to get married without anybody else around so no pressure whatsoever and they both didn't want that.

Honestly a cold feet type scenario, will they won't they get married would be a real shocker and out of the blue (perhaps too much) for me after what I have seen.

With the baby born my fear of a Bernadette giving birth interruption is happily now over lol 

So if they look happy and want to do this, and no baby arrival for Howardette where would the cliffhanger come from? Parents introduction drama has been done already.

Maybe the cliffhanger comes from something else and involving another character/s and doesn't stop or delay the wedding?

The show has spent a lot of time lately on Howardette (New baby and career/parenting struggles) and of course Shamy and wedding plans. With the wedding date set and presumably a “Go” Im betting the show moves on to some Lenny centric stuff at the beginning of S12. Baby? Sheldon did mention radiation and Leonard’s ability to have kids in the taping last night. 

Im gonna assume once Shamy marries their drama will surround settling into adulting as a married couple and whether they leave the apartment behind. S12 will all be about wrapping things up and moving on

By the way this is not me as a Shamy fan, but my alter ego “common sense” speaking.

A mayor cliffhanger might be a Shamy story since they are currently so popular.

And it is not that I personally would appreciate a season split marriage story.

Other reasons could be sad ones, e.g. Meemaw dying in the middle of all of this. But this wouldn’t agree a lot with a comedy series. Although we have seen Howard’s mother die in more detail...

S12 and allegedly 1/2 Season 13 will  really be about wrapping things up. They must be doing it so that we can all live forever in peace with it. I know it we don’t want it, but we must face it at some point.

I’d like to see/have Shamy forever but I am very sure that they will stay in our hearts until the end of time no matter what happens.

There is another theory I’d like to discuss with you and that is that Amy (suddenly) is pregnant due to the fact that protection might not be effective if you are sick (vomit) and then have sex. It could rock their planned (Christian-Texan-conservative-upbringing) world (mainly because of their parents). How much time has passed since her birthday and the current fictional date of the series, if it is given? Any thoughts?

I think if anyone was going to get pregnant it would be Penny with all that foreshadowing this season.

I don't see Shamy having a kid on the show, that's just my gut feeling.

Ignoring for a moment that this show is notoriously bad at getting pregnancies right (lol) by May Amy would be in her 6th month. So a surprise pregnancy then seems unlikely. If there is a pregnancy scare I'd suspect it's either Penny or (if they want at least the believable possibility of it being Amy) they'll let Shamy do it again in the next couple episodes.
