My feeling exactly. I've always seen them already married since 10X4, so to me, they've been "married" for almost 18 months now, they've had their ups and downs, but nothing ugly, and most of the time they've been really sweet and kind to each other. And, I really like their city hall wedding last year, so I'm satisfied on the Shamy front.

So the wedding will happen this season, no cliffhanger by the sounds of it according to Chuck and usually what Chuck says goes lol.

Relieved at that, but he says it may not go smoothly but then have any weddings on this show gone smoothly? I don't think it will be high drama, something small most likely once again family related just like in 9.24 and 10.1. Family related drama for so called comedy would be my guess.

Other option is some drama involving one of the gang that somehow seeps into the wedding event, or maybe it's something external? For example maybe there is some classic wedding disaster type event on the day (something small but important to the wedding e.g. something happens at the planning end) that threatens to derail it but the gang rally around Shamy and help fix it?

Not long to find out anyway.

My guess as weII is that the Iack of "smoothness" wiII be something pIayed for the sake of comedy, no major drama. TBBT is not the type of show where you see a "perfect" wedding, they are just not that; so, even if Shamy are apparentIy pIanning a very formaI wedding, I think something wiII come up and they'II have to revisit their pIans, but nonetheless they wiII make the best of it and have their "speciaI" day, as Howardette did. My biggest concern was that they wouId have dragged things on beyond S 11, that wouId have been a huge Iet down to me; I'm a happy fan right now... on that respect, as many of you I didn't appreciate the Iack of mention of Amy's parents at the PaIey Fest PaneI and  I reaIIy hope we'II see them at the wedding!

Imo  that episode should be a "must have" in Shamy wedding story arc. It would work nicely in sweetness and in comedy fronts.

How could we not have Amy's smile for that kind of happy Amy moments?

Gotta say, since Shamy having babies comes up ever so often, I liked the bit where JR was pushing the "Sheldon needs to babysit Halley and Michael!" idea (which we've been all waiting for, let's be real lol) and they said that Sheldon would probably be good at it. That gave me a little "aww" moment! <3

I've always wanted to see Shamy doing some babysitting and perhaps the conversations it might bring up. lol I remember reading a few posts about that last season or maybe end of season 9 hoping for it to happen one day.

Sounds like Amy keeps her name as per the city hall episode. I mean, they could always change their minds but Holland sounded pretty clear on that when he made his point. YAY!! :D

Correct me if I'm wrong but Jerry O'Connell is one of the big names in movies, right? If he is, I'm hoping  that one episode will focus on him because casting him and just be a passing character with one or two dialogues might not be worth of his talent fee or his name, which surely would happen if they will just introduce him on the actual wedding.

Still crossing my fingers for the one by one introduction of Shamy's family members before the wedding. 😂

You mean the way Christopher Lloyd, Stan Lee, James Earl Jones, Adam West, Stephen Hawking, George Takei, Levar Burton or Bill Gates were passing characters? And yes, that is sarcasm.

I so agree with that, and I aIso hope they have casted Jerry O'ConneII and the other family members introduced at the wedding for the first time (hopefully aIso from Amy's side) for a story arc of  a coupIe of episodes; a family member is not the "occasionaI" guest star, that makes a cameo and wiII be never seen again, usually they have a bit of back story and more Iines and it wouId be a pity for me if, for doing so, we Ioose track of the main pIot of the day, which shouId be Shamy's wedding.

I am ok if meemaw comes down with the flu and cannot make it to the wedding. I do hope for Amy`s parents though and the return of Missy. I really liked her when we met her seasons ago...

I would like to share with you my Shamy fellows that I am that happy for finally my country becoming a huge Tbbt fan: tonight there will be the broadcast of S11E17 so it means it is airing almost at same time than in USA! Whoa! Portuguese have good taste on tv shows and now we all are proud of showing it!

Btw thanks for sharing as always great  and insightful posts about our couple. I have not much been posting lately because my mood is not that cheerful as my right hand need another surgery for be okay, what was not expected at first place. Your thoughts of our couple have been distracting me of less positive thoughts. This thread really rocks!
