@Jonny same here! Actually tbh I gave up on counting how many times I have seen this episode! So much Shamy goodness on it in a brilliant hilarious way!

So now we know they have their own private way to dance to each other... so I wonder if we will have a more public way of them dancing , maybe in their wedding? If we wont  see it, I must confess I am happy to know they turn each other on with unique dancing styles, LOL!

To be fair, it was the reporter who brought up the "you'll run" senario, not Jim. And he added, "I don't think that's going to happen."

I just thought he REALLY didn't know anything about the finale, but he had to do these interviews, so, what was he gonna do, huh.

That being said, I'm not trusting the writers , because all of the "infamous finales" of TBBT... I've learned my lessons not to underestimate them.

I mean, who thought they would bring Ramona back after 8 years last year???...ugh.

The @Shanban post made my day! I always believed they would have Amy's parents in wedding, I am so happy! Both will have relatives in the wedding, it is the fairest thing to do!

If they had to drag them into the plot I don't see why they had to recast. Gimmick casting bugs me and it's not like they're going to become major characters are this point.

Maybe the crazy dress is a take off from a TV show or movie?

I guess it might depend on many factors, maybe they had a particular story or actor playing Amy's dad in mind and the actress from S. 4 didn't fit it, or she wasn't available. That, if they actually recast her, it looks like that from that IG post, but I might be mistaken. Anyway, in principle I agree, recasting roles is irksome!

Yes, me too! I think this week 11.22 promo pics should be available, maybe we have a first look at the dress. That shouldn't happen, that should be the very pic NOT to be shown before the episode airs, but more than once the advertising department has been not very "careful" in which pic to show, so I count on their clumsiness, ahahah! I had hoped that Amy insisted on a "crazy" dress all episode long but at some point she changed her mind for something different, but Mayim's words seem to suggest she sticked to her first choice. Let's see, maybe we'll be surprised!

Truth be told I was really annoyed at the writers at PaleyFest and their lack of answers on Amy's parents when asked. My only glimmer of hope at the time was they dodged the questions because they were still in talks with the actors they wanted and didn't want to announce anything yet. That they mentioned only Sheldon's family because they had the casting already in place.

Looks like that very well might have been the case, they waited to make sure everything was in place.

I know from discussions that a few of us on here (myself included) wanted to see the parents before the wedding so as to not have a repeat of the last wedding on the show when all that guest star power in one place at the same time dominated everything. Doesn't look like we are going to get that, that they will most likely turn up in the finale. We will have to see how the story plays out but i'm overall very positive about this news because it's fleshing out my favorite characters backstory, you will see a face to a name and it will be fascinating to see what kind of relationship Amy has with them and those interactions as well.

So yeah I would have introduced them before the wedding, but then there's probably going to be a lot of things I would have done differently after the event has aired lol

Why do I have this gut feeling that Amy's "dress" would be a cosplay or something?

Anyway, I've just checked, Iast season the officiaI CBS synopsis for the finaIe was released on ApriI 19th and, as we aII remember, contained aIso info about the guest star involved. I'm so hoping to have some news about Amy's parents casting this week now!! As @Jonny said, I was so annoyed  the writers didn't even mention Amy's parents at PaIey fest, so now I'm so so curious to know who have been cast for the part, I reaIIy Iooking forward to the officiaI announcement!

With some retrospect some of their answers or non answers make more sense lol

Fingers crossed we hear something this week! It's going to leak sometime soon I reckon, even if it comes from the guest actors camps for publicity and by agent work lol.

Excited to see who they have in store, it's been a long time coming and well overdue!
