The vows sound fine. But I really do not expect to see a lot of the actual wedding. I haven't thought so since they started announcing the guest characters. If anyone's expecting lots of special moments and details I'm really afraid they will very disappointed. I hope I'm wrong, but that's my gut feeling now.

BTW, is it just me or does it look like they have cut down on the crinoline under the dress so it seems less Gone With the Wind-ish? If they have that's a good thing as far as I'm concerned.

We know exactIy what we are going to see, thanks to the TRs and the promo pics, and I think  we'II have the basics of the ceremony covered, including bride waIking down the isIe with her dad, vows, ring exchange, kiss, bride and groom waIking down the isIe whiIe Kripke sings; granted, it won't be an extraordinary Iong scene, but can you name a TV wedding that Iasts more that 5-6 minutes*?

But tons of my friends who haven't seen the spoilers wanted to see a reception, bouquet toss, toasts and all of that stuff that's considered part of weddings. I can't see them being happy with this. I am happy with it, but I think many people will think the guest starts mattered more than the wedding day.

WeII, they don't know this show very weII if they did expect to see aII of that! I was sure that wasn't going to happen even before Iearning about the guest stars Iist, TBBT doesn't do big events! TBH, I'm just happy we'II get a wedding ceremony that goes without too many problems, I wasn't reaIIy counting on that! I wouId have done without a coupIe of guest\recurring cast invoIved, but from what I heard in the TR, they didn't overshadow Shamy

Sorry for them that they will be disappointed in some way, I think many of us (it's blatantly obvious) are disappointed about 'some' aspects of it. We all have our own desires and wishes when it comes what we want to see and do you know why? It's because we all care a lot about this couple or if you are not a shipper these characters individually. Criticism and debate doesn't mean you don't care, or that you are less of a fan in fact I would strongly argue it's the opposite.

Sometimes I think it gets lost how difficult it is for the writers to cram everything they want to or envisage in just 20 mins. The guest star thing, sure I would probably have reduced the guest stars even further to give us more interactions especially wedding ones but overall I would say from reading the TR they haven't made it all about the guest stars, which this show has been guilty of in the past.

At the end of the day the way I see it is IF after viewing it there are more things you 'like' than you 'dislike' then it's a pretty good end result.

Please tell me, were they really vows or were they only very nice things said to each other ? I want to be prepared in case I have to tear out my hair next week. I get very Sheldon-like over meanings.  I nearly went bald reading posts mentioning Lenny's 'vows' in their second wedding, despite  neither of them having made even one vow during the ceremony, sweet though it was. I did not refrain from pointing this out, in my Sheldonesque way, as some may recall.

For those whose main language is not English : A vow is a very solemn promise that cannot be broken under normal circumstances without great penalties. Marriage vows include staying with the other person through good and bad times, not  being swayed by external  influences, and looking after each other. Loving words about one's partner are sweet, but they're extra, they are not the vows.  (Not even if English-speaking fans call them that. ) I'm looking forward to hearing what Shamy say to each other, vows or not.

Well, when I look at this picture, the facial expressions suggest something unexpected.

I don't mean premature birth of Missy! LOL
Of course, I'm hoping for something unexpectedly funny.

That might be when Penny shuts Mrs. Fowler up...I don't believe there'll be a secret scene or anything unexpected happening during the wedding itself, but for Kripke singing! That sounds hilarious, though

As for that, I had an idea; maybe in the first draft of the script, Shamy were going to receive Stephen Hawking's gift in front of aII the gang, and Raj was moved by it; then the writers decided to have a more intimate tag, with just Ienny and shamy invoIved

I doubt it very much. I've heard that the tag is set after the wedding. I can't see them going  back. We'll see, though.

I've seen A LOT of people on social media were wondering why TBBT still hasn't addressed the Hawking passing news, some of them being really disappointed with the show, until I've read the TR, I was one of them. So I'm really glad they will give such a wonderful and touching tribute to Hawking on 11X24.

The vows are really what I am mostly looking foward tbh.Shamy are much  brain so the power their words about each other could hold might be really memorable and moving. Surely each of Shamy most meaningful moments as we listen to Shamy vows may make us to feel like we were in a travel time since that simple coffee shop date until that powerfull science moment they had minutes before they got married. I am so excited about all of this, as a fan I feel their happiness was built with my help as I ship them and the show itself. I hope I made sense but my emotion is too big for it be properly expressed by words.

I  hope something more can come of it in the next season for Shamy. While I don't know what exactly was Sheldon's breakthrough about, it could  go  well with how Sheldon got his spark back in string theory in the second half of the last season.

I dunno I asked myself when I heard the news is it too kind of Shamy to the point of cliche? Like I know they are into Maths, Science and all that but this is a huge, huge day would something like that have distracted them with all their friends and family kept waiting? Like I could see Sheldon for sure more than Amy in a scenario like that getting distracted and losing track of time.

But then I thought about it, read the TR when more details came out and it's actually kind of funny but also sweet so I like the idea. Plus it was clearly designed also as a way to have those guest stars interacting with each other and not during the actual vows or ceremony. So that's a big plus point in my view.

I think pretty much all of us are hoping that we see more of the Shamy project or if that equation somehow leads to a break through. I mean I don't know if the writers remember the fortune teller or not but that could easily come to fruition if the writers chose to go down that path.

This! I am so happy to find someone sharing the same thoughts with me. Yes we all expect a normal wedding, yes we'd all like to see lots of fluffy Shamy moments and yes doing a project during wedding day might be alittle inapporpriate(or not?)  But that's just us, we dont actually put Shamy before us, after all, it's their Big day, and as long as they're satisfied, I will be.

I found refreshing the writers decided to have Amy and SheIdon so confident in the decision to get married that they couId aIIow themselves to be carried away by science on their wedding day. There were many of us betting on either SheIdon or Amy experiencing coId feet, but that didn't happen at aII; SheIdon's onIy fear was to have his bow tie straight and Amy even said out Ioud to her bridesmaids that she didn't expect to be that caIm, her onIy fear was her mother, IoI! HoIIand in an interview (can't find it now) has said that's exactIy what they wanted to achieve in the episode. It was more or Iess what happened in ON, we were aII expecting SheIdon to freak out, and instead it was Amy; for their wedding, we expected them to be nervous, but neither of them was. It makes sense, in a way. As many have aIready said, the game changer in Shamy's relationship was the artistic decision to have them Iiving together on their own in 4B. Out of universe it as aIIowed so many stories to happen, In Universe it has made SheIdon and Amy more confident than ever in their relationship, so that the wedding is just a welcome IegaI requirement for them but doesn't reaIIy change anything.
