Happy new episode day - season 11 finale day - Shamy wedding day ... and I‘m pretty sure it‘s someone‘s birthday, too, so: Happy birthday!

I think, I‘m a bit incoherent today...well, so be it, who can blame me? 🎈🎉😀🎉

Happy New Episode/ Season Finale/Shamy Wedding day!

I am flying out this afternoon/evening to Tucson to watch my niece graduate from the University of Arizona this weekend.  As a result, I will not be able to see the episode until Friday morning.  I'm going to make an effort to not be on the board until after I see the episode.

Haha,  they look more like a six year olds birthday cupcake then the wedding cupcake I had envisioned. But they are delicious and made with champagne 😁🥂

Happy Shamy Day!

Hi everyone, I’m from Thailand! I signed up for this fanforum just so I can post a tribute for Pasadena’s favorite couple, and to shout out how awesome this fanbase is :) Been following you guys and the show forever but I never signed up. Now, I will start. Sheldon and Amy. A couple that no one thought would happen in the first place. We have an egotistic, know-it-all genius with an IQ of 187, and a brilliant neurobiologist searching for the intimacy that she did not have as a child. I thought that these two don’t seem to mesh well together because they have different goals in life. Sheldon aims for an endless pursuit of knowledge and groundbreaking success, and nothing else is more meaningful to him than science. But science is never-ending, science is all-encompassing, and the more we search for answers, the more questions are posed. Yet despite his great ambition he was living in a bubble. A bubble that actually resists him from embracing the multiple realities of our existence. He lacks the open-mindedness and the understanding of being human and you can’t say you are knowledgeable of the universe, when you don’t even truly grasp who you are.

While Amy is like a foil, a static character that has no place to shine aesthetically, she’s much more than that. She’s the representation that you don’t have to run away from your identity to be validated, and that you don’t have to be perfect to fit in. And as bad as some people may think she is, there’s nothing wrong with her purpose on the show. Same with the fact that there’s nothing wrong with them being together. She triggers him to realize that being human is more monumental than we think, like how technology and advancement cannot override kindness. From the moment that they met each other, they like one another not because of their looks, but because of their shared intellect. Their relationship is a mystery that keeps getting more interesting, because the continuous love that they have for the other is inexplicable, but undeniably special. It’s clear this is the case when everytime Sheldon tried to resist himself from this truth, his emotions end up backfiring him. It’s not that he can’t live without her. But it’s that she’s important. And the truth is that he’s not the single most important person in the world like he deemed to be.

They are non-traditional. They didn’t opt for coitus as the foundation of their relationship, because their union is not based merely on passion. When Sheldon gained more genuine compassion, and when Amy realizes that she cares deeply about him, regardless of all of his ridiculousness, we know that this relationship is not ordinary. It’s extraordinarily out of the ordinary, and they make each other better in ways that no other person can. These two mean a lot, they touch many people, and their story is written this way for a reason, whether people like it or not- to prove that happiness can come from both a sophisticated mind, and from powerful, sincere love- not just one or the other. My last note to everyone would be to take life as it goes, and as they like to say it, if something is meant to be, it is meant to be. Sending my best wishes to all the characters, the amazing fans who have always been so caring and sweet for years, and the writers <3.
