Ship Zone [Spoilers] Shamy: Season 11

Yeah, I have to say a "No, try again later, bye!" reaction from Amy would be something I'd probably hate. Like, I don't know how the writers could sell that to me in a way I'd be fine with it.

I don't have an issue with some potential drama from the Ramona kiss in that I would expect Sheldon trying to explain the situation and maybe Amy is upset about what happened. But in the end I can only see him winning her over with one of his adorkably emotionally honest speeches about how she's the only one for him or whatever. The writers really like to do those and have Sheldon be pretty good in these heartfelt moments.

@Soopysuealso already listed a lot of other good reasons and I think the ones coming from a writers/production perspective make a pretty strong case for why they won't go into that direction. They went to such lengths to make Sheldon the innocent in this scenario and were so emotional about how the proposal played out that I have a hard time them sitting together like "Who's ready to ruin all of that??? :D" lol

Add up the travel-time to and from the airports, plus any hanging around and the length of the flight itself, and you get everybody at the Pasadena end wondering what's happened to Sheldon. Perhaps Leonard has tracked him as far as the airport. This has been mooted before, but have we considered that Amy might already know he's 'missing' and so included in her reaction to his appearance is going to be relief that he's all right ? What if she's found out by trying to Skype him at the usual time and somebody ( perhaps even Ramona  [ evil emoji face here] ) has opened the laptop he left on his desk ? Do we know anything yet about the casting for the episode ?

Amy was comfortably sitting on her couch working or reading, she didn't seem concerned, as she should have been if she knew her boyfriend was MIA or, worse, if she had had the opportunity to speak with Ramona. Obviously, the writers can take it back to steer some drama in it, but it wouldn't be consistent with the way the scene played out.

It wasn't long ago we had a sad faced Amy in the backseat of a car with the ladies "wondering" if Sheldon even thought about marriage anymore. Now youve got a bent-kneed Sheldon with the ring in his hand, pretty powerful for Amy to resist.

I agree with those that believe a convo about Ramona will take shape in one form or another, but if Im a betting man Im laying my cash on a "yes" over a "no" to the proposal. And then a looooong engagement....

I don't think it will be a no, but I do think it will be a why. She has every right to be sort of stunned and ask him why now. And in that case I think Ramona must be brought up, if only to avoid another horrible situation like Leonard's boat kiss, which was almost universally disliked by most fans. I can't see them leaving the door open for that kind of drama again.

Especially if Ramona is also missing. I have thought all along the TWO of them missing is something that has potential for comedy. Or drama. Either one.

I'm not sure we can assume that everyone immediately noticed that Sheldon is gone. Ramona brought him lunch and unless Sheldon planned to eat with the guys that day (which he doesn't necessarily do every day) nobody would miss him until at least the evening - assuming he still takes a ride home with Leonard every day. Depending on the workday Sheldon could easily be at Amy's in NJ at that point.

Similarly, let's say Shamy had their lunch skype session already and the next one is planned in the evening then Amy wouldn't notice anything's amiss either until Sheldon shows up at her door. The travel times would be plausible for this scenario.

Anyway, I guess we'll find out whether Rikki will be back on set or not in a few days.

Hope everyone is having a good summer...looking forward to the new season!!

This is how I think it will go (I have been known to be wrong lol)....

Leonard arrives home and wonders where Sheldon is,saying he stopped by his office and his bag/coat are still there thinking maybe he had a late meeting or something. Leonard and Penny go to his apartment in search for him, not there. Penny goes to search for Romona and asks her what happened to Sheldon, what she said or did and Romona tells her what happened, that Sheldon is not legally bound to Amy making him fair game so she kissed him. Romona also says he just got up and left without saying a word. Leonard decides to track his phone and Penny decides to skype Amy  and their phone/computer alarms go off right as Sheldon is at her door waiting for her to answer him. Amy invites him in, Penny tells her what happened/meanwhile Leonard asks Sheldon where he is knowing the Romona kiss story and that it would freak him out. Amy says we have to talk. Sheldon and Amy talk about everything that happened then we get an answer by the end of the episode. I think she will say yes. (I think if she says no the repetitive proposals thing  is too much like the Leonard/Penny proposals)

I completely agree...no more proposals. I would like to see a one and done scenero. I will scream if it turns into a Lenny situation with a billion proposals. Lol. I expect a yes after a brief and honest conversation about the Ramona thing. After all he did nothing wrong except being extremely naive. It is not like he has never considered proposing before...he loves Amy. The Ramona thing just gave him the nudge he needed.

Ramona brought him lunch so I was assuming with the trip to the airport and the waiting time plus the flight, Sheldon would be in the air when Leonard went to get him at, say, 5 pm ?  It would be perhaps 7pm their time /10 pm Amy's time  when he gets to Princeton ? Time enough for the Caltech crowd to be worrying ?

This would certainly fit and make for a funny ensemble episode. Perhaps at some point they all think Sheldon has caught a plane to Texas.

Again,  depends on how long their work day is. We've seen / heard about them working long hours ever so often so I wouldn't assume that they'd be out of Caltech by 5 pm. Could also easily be 6 or 7 pm and then the time they notice Sheldon's gone would coincide with when he arrives at Amy's place in Princeton.

Indeed! And for us as well, I think I could say. It is so close for we know Amy's answer! *grins*

And see selfies, read taping reports ( thanks in advance to everyone who could provide them ) , promo pics, promo vids, maybe a few interviews could be made this season? Really looking foward to see all of these!

Hi! Newbie here. So excited for what's coming in season 11 for Shamy. I've been a fan ever since they first met but i gave up on them. What a terrible mistake for me because I missed the major milestones of this couple.

I've been trying to catch up in this forum especially in the season 9 and season 10 thread. Those are huge threads and now that the taping is coming up, it is impossible to read all your brilliant post. 

I hope it is ok to post what i feel for this couple eventhough my english isn't very good. I just need somewhere to vent out all the emotions I will be feeling once season 11 finally kicks in. Like some of you here, i have no one to share this obsession.

Sheldon still does not have a car. Leonard probably still drives him home. If he walks in finds the food just sitting there and Sheldon missing, that's time enough, I think. And we don't know what time lunch was. When Sheldon goes to the airport it's already getting dark, if I remember right.

Welcome to the forum! I understand you very well, because none of my RL friends watches the show, let alone being obsessed by it as much as I am...But I've found in the forum and in particular in the Shamy thread a lot of virtual friends that share my obsession for Shamy and being around here has been a hoot! I hope you have fun with us! Fingers crossed that starting from wednesday we might have a lot of news to speak about!!!
