Are we taking bets on what's in the initial conversation at the door ?

What are the odds for : 'Are you having a panic attack ?'

                                          ' What ?'

' I suddenly remembered it was our anniversary.'

                                         'Why ?'

'What are you doing here ? Oh. Silly question.'

                                          'Of course I will.'

'That's a better anniversary present than last year's.'

Close I think :)

Honestly I can not come up with a detailed bit of their initial conversation due all the options that live in my mind right now, hehe. But I can say I expect a very well writen shamy dialogue as we feel all their motivations for their potencial reactions for the situation they were living through. With a Amy's yes as everything would be settled between them as they talked. It would be opening the season with a golden key. I feel writers will give us that gift after what we had to watch about Ramona. She was only a bitter tease for keep things interisting for some portions of the audience. I believe we wont remember much about Ramona try to cross shamy's path even before Christmas hiatus. It is what I feel :)

Thank you to those who welcomed me.. I appreciate it so much. So excited for the taping report next week.

I also think that Amy will say yes, not immediately though, because they still have to discuss the spur of the moment proposal first.

I really have high expectations for the next two seasons for shamy. I want to see shamy's wedding, i want to see amy pregnant and what i am most excited about, I want to see them how they will raise their children. The last one might need another season but according to some interviews of their big bosses, it is possible.

I also want to see them move to their own house in a suburb to have their own family but I have no idea if it is possible for a sitcom to change their setting. Is it?

Maybe, what i really want is shamy in their own show lol

They did it with Monica and Chandler, in Friends.

As Sheldon said:-

It's a possibility.

I followed Friends too, but what they did there is to have Monica and Chandler look for a house. We didn't saw them live there. I wish we can have that with Shamy. I wanna see the domestic side of them.

A time jump would have been ideal if there is such a thing in an american sitcom or if the writers would even want that because it would look like a spin off with the same title

My no.1 :)

You will not find a better gift for a guy to give his neuroscientist girlfriend. The brain has a special status and place in their relationship as well so that further adds to how special a gift it was.

All indications were that this was also a gift idea he came up with. We know in the past he is not a big fan of gift giving and he also usually consults his friends for advice. We didn't see that so I can choose to believe he came up with the idea and that also adds to the moment. :)

So, unless there are some surprises, the first 3 Shamy moments  should be the same of the previous one, let's see if in the same order! If I'm not mistaken, what is missing is the YLY2 in The Prom Equivalency and the "We can find out together" in The Opening Night Excitation

Speaking of which, if you haven't done that, go vote for ON in the Forum tournament!!

Hi everyone! I missed posting here...Hopefully the first taping will be exciting for us. I hear Steve Holland will be the new showrunner? I hope he'll be a good one.

I doubt it will be any of those two but the ones where I put the asterisks strike me as funny. Imagine Amy saying the second one with her deadpan face :D

Welcome back! :D

In less than 48 hours this place will be crazy town - no matter what happens. Either Amy says "Yes" and we have a big party or she says "No" and we'll have fun getting our torches ready to go after the new showrunner! LOL Oh how I'll miss the complaints about Molaro - that's quite a challenge for Holland to live up to!! hahaha

But yeah, kidding aside, I hope he does a good job. I'm curious where he'll take the show from here on!

I'm curious about Holland too. Did Molaro say if he'll continue with the show? I was surprised he stepped off. I also want that girl Ayers to write another episode, 10.23 was one of the best from s10!

Yes, I do because:

  • Amy wanted to marry Sheldon for ages now and I don't see why that would have changed.
  • The only tiny seed of doubt they could sow is with the Ramona kiss and they made a big deal out of how innocent Sheldon is in this scenario. Even with a bit of drama it's nothing that can't be solved with an honest talk.
  • The whole cast and crew has been freaking crying over how beautiful the proposal scene was. So I think chances are they don't want to ruin that with a negative outcome.

The way everything is set up I see little chances of her saying no unless the writers really want to have a contrived situation here for no reason. In the end of the day it's imho clear the writers adore Shamy and S10 was like a love letter for everyone who stuck with them through all the drama and slow progress in earlier seasons. I hope they'll continue down that path with Shamy until the end of the show! <3

From what I got from interviews Molaro stepped down because he needs to take care of Young Sheldon full time but he'll still work together closely with Holland. (So I guess we could still blame Molaro if something goes wrong. lmao) There are some interview bits that sound like this will mean they will try to link both shows close together so we might have characters from one show show up in the other and vice versa. But we'll have to wait and see...

I think Alex will simply be part of the writing team now (or at least I hope). She's been Molaro's assistant of some sort for a long time so a promotion would be great. I'd give her a raise for all the fun BTS stuff she always posts alone! haha Every episode is written by the whole writers room so she might actually have been working on other episodes bit by bit and 10x23 just happened to be the one when it was finally her turn to get a credit (they all take turns with the writers/story credits, it doesn't indicate who contributed how much to any given episode). Heck, maybe Alex joining the writers room is why Shamy have been so perfect in S10? Who knows?! lol

I completely forgot about Young Sheldon (I wonder why...). I've always liked Molaro so I hope he'll work with Holland and that there won't come a point where he'll let Tbbt go (though I doubt that).

I think she must have recently joined the other writers but regardless I hope she'll have more credits in s11 because judging by 10.23 she has more to give as a writer.

Molaro will still have an decision making role on this show and of course Lorre will as well as he seems to have final say on everything.

Quote

"Holland will run the writers’ room and will work closely with executive producers Chuck Lorre and Molaro, who will both continue to oversee the hit comedy. Molaro, meanwhile, will segue to “Young Sheldon” where he will run the writers’ room."

I like Molaro in general, too. There were a few decisions over the years that I thought were stupid but eh, nobody's perfect! Holland has been working closely together with Molaro in the writers room for a long time now so I think he might continue into the same direction. In any case Molaro isn't completely gone from TBBT. (See @Jonny post above. Thanks for digging this out!)

Molaro going to YS made me curious about what he'll do with the show. I take it they really want to make it work for at least the lengths TBBT is still on. Lorre and Prady have always praised Molaro for his sense of character growth and progress so this might actually make the show watchable.

It could have some interesting consequences for Shamy's S11 stories. Like, if they're really dealing more with Sheldon's past on TBBT that'll for sure involve Amy now more than ever. Of course one could argue that it's the typical Sheldon-centric story telling but that in and of itself doesn't make it bad - always depends on how it's handled and this is where Holland at the helm will be the most interesting for me cause I want to see how he deals with that.

Yes, indeed. I mean, as said, we technically don't know how much she actually contributed here or in other episodes but assuming 10x23 has at least some chunk of her writing that made them chose this one as her credit début then by all means keep those scripts coming! <3

I like Molaro, also he is also credited for a lot of the changes to the show when he came in and I'm a fan of how the show has changed over the years and seeing their lives unfold.

The only thing I have ever really criticized him for is the yearly gag which he clearly found way funnier than a lot of fans. It created a lot of debate and angst in the fan base that I was never happy about and would have preferred not seeing or being a part of, But it probably was good for the casual fans and the overwhelming majority of viewers so there is that, more of a personal bugbear I guess.
