Sheldon has committed to Amy completely and they actually do have some major success with say the project they are working on together. I think it could be fun at some point if say they have a breakthrough with their project and win an award (doesn't have to be a biggie bit I would imagine there are lots of awards for scientific endeavor, both state and national or in the wider community). Maybe Sheldon with his eidetic memory starts mumbling to himself 'the psychic was right' or something for comedy, perhaps some of his friends or Amy wonder what he is on about and Penny is there with her huge grin. I also think it could be a good test for him and him working on sharing attention, credit etc. One of the reason I really love The Troll Manifestation (mainly because of the girls) is the way Leonard and Sheldon worked together and it actually felt like they were equals and enjoyed working together. It wasn't a Sheldon ego stroke so Sheldon clearly has it in him to be more gracious when it comes to work. We know in 11.1 Sheldon clearly wants to work on it i.e. sharing attention, not making it all about him. Of course if it does become largely an ego stroke for Sheldon (Shamy having a big breakthrough and success with their project) then fuck the idea lol, but I think a comedic but also sweet at the same time storyline with a nice payoff from it could be possible. I would find it interesting Thoughts? Am I being too nostalgic lol? I'm also super nostalgic about the psychic's prophecy. Not that I believe in those things in real life but as a story telling device they can be fun. And regardless of whether or not the writers remember it her prediction did come true eventually. The more Sheldon commits to Amy the better his life gets and bit by bit it all falls into place. Him realising that he has to be a bit more humble and leave the spotlight to Amy could indeed have a lot of potential and even lead to further academic success for the both of them. Now Amy and Sheldon are engaged. Can not really wait for how writers will tell us more from their personal lives. I don't know any details other than that the scene is supposedly very sweet and very Shamy. I am very curious about that kiss too! First episode from s11, a Shamy kiss happened! I hope it is a good sign for at least the same amount of shamy kisses from s10 might happen in s11 too! One of the things I love about them is how openly they've been able to discuss and work through Sheldon's intimacy issues. Now that we know they're no longer waiting for yearly birthday sex, I hope we can just assume that, like any other couple, they're intimate when they want to be, however often that works out to be for them. They both clearly (and vocally!) enjoy each other physically, and they have imo better emotional intimacy than any on-screen couple I know, so I'm not too worried. And welcome! Shamy have been always honest to each other about all sides of their relationship and the sexual one is one they reached clearly a good balance lately as they bonded more living together. Both clearly enjoy it and mostly important, they did it in their own frequency as they want to do it. Each couple has their own intimacy way which a wedding band on their fingers wont change for what is seen as expected to a married couple. What matters is they get happy and confortable with their own sexual frequency. What is seen as expected most of times only works for a minority as many try to live for what was expected and unfortunatelly what they reach is frustration. Fortunatelly Sheldon and Amy dont care for any social convention. Btw, glad to see you are posting about shamy. They are clever at noting slight body movements, pupil dilation and contraction, brow movements, changes in skin colour and temperature, altered respiration rates etc. This sort of awareness in an insightful, intuitive person can look to others like psychic powers. I once knew a vet who was so good at this he could literally say the sentence I was about to say myself. It used to be said vets are better than doctors because animals can't say what's wrong with them. I've never held with that as the reason because doctors don't listen to you anyway. They do have to make close physical examinations rather than ask questions and learn a lot about what to expect. That train of thought has led me to remember Yvette. I wonder if she'd have had the same response to Sheldon that Emily had ? LOL In another field, someone who's as in tune with the customer as the psychic was would make a good counsellor. I am actually a very new viewer, was on a long flight and thanks to American Airlines got hooked. Sheldon and Amy are absolutely the best. Until the episode in which it was made clear it only happens once a year, we discussed 'Shrodinger's coitus' often. It was a matter of do they or don't they for a long time. Some of us were convinced we knew which it was, others weren't sure. I was in the 'they do' camp myself. I thought the 'birthday suit' gag was an indication that they weren't sticking to the 'Only-on-Amy's-birthday' arrangement which hadn't seemed all that firm at the time it was made anyway. It seemed to me that Sheldon's stated interest in repeating the experience outweighed the timing. I thought when he realised 'when we do it again' didn't really have a date limit, it would become a regular part of their lives. I'm still not over the fact they are engaged now, I had no doubts whatsoever that would have been the cliffhanger resolution, but knowing it's official makes me so happy! In the meantime, in honour of Pasadena power couple, I did a very shamy thing yesterday...I went to the aquarium and I couldn't help thinking about the eat, befriend, fight game in 9.8, lol! We had the writers say it was gone and that they haven't made up their minds about whether or not they'd bring it back, then we had Amy mocking it in a way that supported there wasn't a RA anymore... and then came 10x13 with some jokes that sounded more like they still have one??????? Maybe it was just for a joke (after all the Lenny RA never came up again either so who knows if that's still a thing!?!?) or Shamy were messing with Lenny or whatever.
