Ship Zone [Spoilers] Shamy: Season 11

Hello my dear shamies! 

Sorry to be so late for the discussion! I'm back from vacation and fully reloaded ready for the first TRs.

I don't want to go to much into the details of the TR I've read so far, because there are things that I'd Like to See first before judging. 

My favourite part so far is Amy introducing Sheldon to her colleagues as her fiancee. I can't get over this word. I need this as a ring tone. 

I'm curious, what Sheldon had to talk about it with Dr. Hawking? Was he asking him about how to do it? Or if he should involve Amy' s father Into it at all?

I can't help myself, but if I think about it a certain image pops up in my mind about how this conversation went.

Sheldon: Prof. Hawking I need your counsel in a certain matter. I'm planning to ask Dr. Fowler's father to marry his daughter. But I don't know how to do it properly. 

Hawking: ........

Sheldon: Prof. Hawking? Are you alright? Are you having a stroke?

Hawking: No, I'm just bewildered by your request. Why do you ask me for advice?

Sheldon: Because I highly value your opinion and advice. You know I'm not much familiar with social conventions and as I don't have a father anymore, you are the closest that comes to a father for me.

Hawking: jgjgtjjhcdghkjn

Sheldon: Prof. Hawking?

Hawking: Sorry, I had to blink away a tear in my eye.

Happy taping day shamies!!! I'm on vacations too, but I can't help having a look at the forum and the shamy thread whenever I can! I hope we'll be lucky enough to get some news about the next episode, thanks to generosity of some fellow tbbt fan attending the taping!

Happy taping day!!

I'll be keeping my expectations low for this one with regards to Shamy. After Shamy have a big milestone episode the writers usually like to give them a bit of a break so I wouldn't be surprised if there's not Shamy plot tonight. I might get my hopes up should we get a MaJim selfie but that's about it.

The pics we got from the guest star and cast indicate something to do with science so I hope this episode will be good for Sheldon and/or Amy on this front. <3

Happy taping day Everyone!

You can add me to the list that thinks we will see something different storyline wise this week, a change of pace (unless you buy into this theory that because of YS they want to keep the focus on Sheldon especially early on, I don't).

Historically you sometimes get a great Shamy episode and then we get some different focus the following episode. But if Shamy are more B plot and in the background this week than that's fine, background Shamy can still be fun and interesting because they are so damn quirky and adorkable.

The guest star on the show likely points as evidence to that as well, something sciencey likely with the guys perhaps. Howard might need the money lol

I kind of doubt it will be eclipse-related if only because this episode won't air until October and it would be out of date by then.

I wonder if the guest star might be related with shamy science project. I know it is more likely to be something new for the boys after their project was cancelled but it would be great if it could be related with one of Science things relateds from s10 I most enjoyed . Whatever might be, surely it would be nice. Can not wait for more details

I was thinking about how Raj pulled the dirty sock threat to get Sheldon to go meet Amy. Do you think that could get him best man status? Raj and Howard are the reason Sheldon and Amy met, after all.

I can't see it being anyone but Leonard. It would be something unexpected and play homage to their history. I wonder if the dirty sock is going to make into the vows.

Alright then we got some spoilers for 11x02 (paraphrased below in italic) in the DT and nothing really for Shamy as a couple, but rather individually:

- Leonard gives a depressing interview about physics being dead or something and his negativity is dragging the guys down as well. For Sheldon it's surely nothing new. He's had a crisis with his subject of study already so it'll be interesting how he deals with it. It certainly doesn't help that they have lost the gyroscope project not too long ago. But I really hope his project with Amy can bring him back on track or that this will lead to a new project for the guys altogether.

- Amy meanwhile is off with Bernie discussing their success and how to hide it from their men (to not rub it in while they are down, I presume???) and they end up being competitive over who's more successful (lol) and we'll find out Amy gets a new lab and new funds at Caltech! YAY!! Way to go, Amy!! <3 I love that her stay at Princeton got Amy more prestige at work and isn't brushed under the rug. The idea of keeping it secret from Sheldon sounds a bit like 10x23 and I'm not sure we'll get a resolution here. Though after 11x01 the perfect resolution would of course be that Amy tells him and Sheldon takes it in stride and is happy for her. We'll see.

- Amy's ring is apparently a huge eye catcher! LMAO

Like I mentioned in the DT, I'm SO happy to see Amy and Bernadette get to focus on their work and being successful! Not to mention how hilarious they are when they start sniping at each other. We need at least one scene where Penny is stuck in the middle of that

And I'm not worried about the guys. We never saw them hit rock bottom after losing the Air Force gig, and I guess this is it. I like the idea of Penny as wise counsel making them feel better. I'm sure they'll be on to the next big thing soon. 

Good start to the new season's stories!

Thanks @April for your post about the spoilers for 11.02. Very apreciated!

As I have said in DT, we have not watched yet a episode from s11 and it already got me! I am enjoying the old school vibe we are getting from science and friendship/couples support in tough times, it is great to feel the show has much to offer about these characters yet! 

Regards Amy, cannot wait she getting competitive with Bernie, it surely will be priceless, lol! For other hand, I love as the Amy's stay at Princeton is helping her to shine more in her carreer. I hope it might be a way of we see more supportive Sheldon as he surely will keep going his feelings about Amy's happiness as we saw in 10.23. I am really happy for how things are sounding for our adorable couple!

And last but not least, that ring: it is bright like a sun, isnt it?

Sheldon Cooper takes time to do things but when he does, he really excell himself, right? Amy has the best engagement ring ever, it could be  the  tiara of the rings and it is on her finger! 

Cannot wait for staring at that ring!

I´m sorry for my stupid question, but does the bold part mean, that Sheldon got her a new ring and didn´t take the family heirloom or did he just replaced the stones for other gems in order to pimp the ring?

It´d be so Sheldon to go to the next jewelry and take the most precious and biggest ring the shop assistant can find, because when Sheldon goes shopping only the best is good enough for his precious Amy, even if it would mean that he has to dig the diamonds by hand from a diamond mine.

Oh, I´m so excited to see Amy and Bernie being competitive over who´s more successful, it´s been a while since the last Amydette plot! 

It´s great that the writers are finally giving the female scientists some credit for their work, I hope that the fact that Amy gets a new lab and funds, means we get to see more scenes in her new lab. 

What would I give to see Sheldon walking around CalTech his arm wrapped around Amy´s back gushing about how proud he is of his little lady (with a big smile on his face) and rubbing his proud into everyone´s face who passes by, while he squeezes her gently and gives her a peck on her hair. (I´m sure fanboy Sheldon would be so cute! )
