I would love to see Shamy working in her new lab on their project.

It would be a blast, crossing fingers for that !

Shamy working together in Amy's lab would be much better for this fan than they got a new place this season if it was given to me to pick one option between these two. Yeah, I am that lab dork! :D

In past as John Ross Bowie was more avaiable to participate in tbbt, I would say Kripke?

Now it could be Bert? It would be funny!

I really miss Kripke...would love it if he did an appearance this season. I saw the actor on a crime show and he sounded so different. I knew he didn't have a speech impediment in real life but it was still fascinating to hear his normal voice... on BBT he makes me waf and waf!

Fingers crossed! It's the only plot for S. 10 that hasn't been mentioned so far, it should be time, it was one of my favourite things in the second half of the season!

The boys may also be trying to collaborate on something new...but given the choice between a Shamy collaboration or something new for the guys, I choose Shamy.

There is a brief TR in the Discussion thread...Amy is working with Howard, that's the new collaboration and, apparently, Sheldon and Bernie (and Raj, go figure) are not really happy because they are working late...I guess that's what contamination means...

Howard and Amy!! OMG Will wonders never cease! Years and years of fans clamouring for the writers to do more with the two after Scavenger and it's finally happening???

TBBTsquee.gif.3850eef9b51dc7f9c9c348d51acac3c9.gif

5 episodes in and I'm loving that Amy is getting so much work focus (though of course I would have loved if we'd hear more about the Shamy project as well)!! YAY!!

Amy's dad. Amy's work success. Amy getting plots with Leonard and now Howard. Amy getting a new work project. Dear god, will this be the big Amy season???

Yes, I'm so happy for Amy's plots this season...How shall we call them? Howamy?? I'm so curious about which project they are studying and that we will see Amy's brand new lab! Not so happy, TBH. that Sheldon seems not really supportive of that, and it seems that this is one of the constants of this season, there are some (minor) frictions between Shamy because of Amy's work.  I have no words for Lenny parenting Sheldon, that got old in S. 3, if you ask me!

It looks like it, and I couldn't be happier about it! Yes  I would love to hear more about the Shamy project but maybe this is leading up to some heartfelt conversation between Sheldon and Amy, Sheldon wants to be supportive, but now it feels like she's forgotten their experiment. That'd be an interesting conversation.

Ok I would probably get a profanity ban of some kind in regards to the Sheldon storyline if I talked about it so I am not going there on what I think about it. But just know this I don't like it, I don't even need to see it to know that.

The Amy/Howard storyline is really interesting, it ticks some boxes in that its a rare storyline pairing but I don't know why they are focusing on jealousy when it comes to careers and work this season. Will need to see where they are going with this.

Wanted to see more Howard/Amy storylines!

I honestly like it that they're really pushing this "Sheldon is/has to learn how to be supportive of Amy and her work" angle. It's been brought up in 10x23, 11x01, 11x02 and now again. I think it's a good sign that they didn't drop this topic immediately cause being supportive comes in many facets (letting Amy go over the summer, leaving the spotlight to her while her colleagues are full of praise, dealing with her working long hours, maybe even more in future episodes?) and it's good to see that after these kinds of things usually went to Amy in the past now Sheldon has to deal with it.

Idk if Amy being busy makes him act more childish so that Lenny are learning parenting tricks as a result to that or if he's relatively normal and they're just trying it for shits and giggles. Not a big fan of this parenting thing either cause I had hoped we'd finally be past that stage but with only having so little information I'd have to see how it plays out.

Honestly I'm looking forward to some "team Shamy " and or Shamy cuteness again - like season 10 !

The plots so far sound great but each ep has wee bit work jealousy or an argument thrown in ...... I hope thrown into the mix is a cute hug, kiss or bed scene.....I'm a hopeless romantic :)

Don't get me started on "baby Sheldon and his Lenny parents !! I'm not a fan lol !

I know what you are saying but the guy is in his mid to late 30's, living with his soon to be wife and they are trying to presumably control or modify some of his behaviour with a baby book?! OMFG Seriously.

If Sheldon is acting like a bit of an ass because Amy is busy and he is missing her then I can understand that he might be annoying his friends. But a baby book? Absolutely ridiculous IMO.

It's going to be one of those rare times when they do a storyline I can't frucking stand but casuals lap it up.

Yeah, I really need to see how this plays out but I totally agree on how ridiculous it sounds. I mean, even if Sheldon is acting up it says a lot about Lenny and how they see him and... ughhh I hate it when characters treat him like a child cause that only reinforces childish behaviour. Treat him like an adult and he'll step up his game.

Idk maybe there's some meaningful layer here like "Amy is the only one who sees him as an adult and without her he's doomed to a hellish life where he'll always be treated like a toddler by his friends" or whatever but yeah... that's all I could squeeze out of this with so little to go on.

Last season went so well with him making progress (living together with Amy, telling his mother off, letting go of Lenny, etc) I'd hate if the writers turn that back. I know they pull this shit ever so often so if this will be the one "Sheldon as Lenny's kid" episode this season then so be it. But part of me hopes that one day he'll stand up for himself and calls them out on their BS.

How about instead they have a gaming night? D&D night? Go bowling? Go to a bar? Do something fun together if they are lonely or bored. Have some fun together instead of using a child book to stop him from annoying them because he is bored and misses Amy.

You are totally right treating him like a child does reinforce that type of behaviour.

I am very happy for the  highlights in Amy's life in beginning of s11, she really deserves as she is much more than Sheldon's sweetheart and as scientist there are so many things that can be explored this season about her and together with Sheldon. Hopefully shamy project will be brough up soon,  that is too good for not be developed in upcoming episodes. *crosses fingers*

This season could  be as good about shamy as s10 was but there are things I would live without like lenny parenting Sheldon. It is getting old and too much non sense as Sheldon had been proving he is much more mature than that. Sheldon will be always Sheldon but surely he doesnt need parent guiding for his life as Amy is too busy to be with him for work reasons. Writers, come on!

Anyway, I hope we can see a heartfelt talk soon as some of you mentioned between shamy about Sheldon and his support about things that envolves personal sucess but his own sucess. Surely it would turn out a nice and meaningful shamy moment. I believe all of these plots could be led to that.

And I am also very happy  for Howamy because I love Howard and Amy interaction! It surely is not about singing again Neil Diamond this time but these two have a very nice chemestry and breath comedy. Can not wait for watch all of this onsecreen!

Thanks  @mirs1 for sharing the spoilers here. And again a huge thanks to @BigBangFan24

who was so generous for provide these juicy details for our fan sake!!

I'd love to have a Sheldon/Raj/Bernie plot as a result. Not a common combination and it could have been fun. Let Lenny do something else entirely. But oh well...

I hope we'll get some S10 like Shamy goodness again soon!

As usual you make total sense, I hope it plays out like you suggest ! That would be great !!

I also should learn to wait & watch the episode ! - season 10 was just too cute for Shamy, I miss them, more please for season 11 !!!!

I love that we're getting even more focus on Amy's work and a collaboration with Howard sounds interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing how it plays out!

I was concerned that, following the engagement, most of Amy's storylines would be about wedding planning and, as much as I'm looking forward to Shamy's wedding, I'm glad to see that so far that doesn't seem to be the case.

As for the Sheldon/Lenny plot....I think I'll keep my thoughts about that to myself:icon_rolleyes:

It truely is !!!!! I've totally forgotten the plot for episode 2 though lol - anyone ??? Help !!!

From Taping report thread:

Leonard has an interview with Ira Flatow on Science Friday, and it doesn't go well.   Leonard says physics is dead.

Bernadette and Amy are talking about how they are more successful than their guys and how they each hide it from them.

After hearing about Leonard's comments, the other guys get depressed about it.

Amy and Bernie then start trying to one up the other, as to how is more successful.  Amy boasting of more funding and a new laboratory since returning to Caltech.

Leonard is called into Mrs. Davis' office, where she tells him Cal Tech isn't happy about his negativity about Physics.  Penny is supportive of Leonard during the whole episode. At one point they have a talk and Penny is comforting her husband.

So far Amy's  left hand is behind stuff in promo pics, lol! Nice strategy to hide the ring! Only one pic failed for the mission be accomplished though! :icon_cheesygrin:

The strategically placed objects in front of Amy's hand are cracking me up!  LOL

They really try to keep the answer a secret. Even in the one pic where you can see the ring it's just barely in the frame,  it was probably an oversight.
