So obviously they wanted the audience to have a hostile reaction towards her cause that's just where the conflict of the episode comes from.

 I wish they'd gone with your first paragraph. I fear your second paragraph may well be the way they want Ramona to continue to be seen. You have a lot of insight into the way they think.  What a waste of a character !

Indeed it is not comparable. To me someone doing what Ramona did has no excuse at all!

Personally  what bothered me most in s10 finale was the sense of infidelity writers brought up with Ramona. Season was so great to shamy in so many fronts that was not necessary to prove if Sheldon would recognize someone hinting on him or not or if Amy could trust on him as he is now sexually active. It was pure non sense as Sheldon only got awake for sex because his feelings of love and caring for Amy. He still doesn’t care about other women , which was really proved by his actions about Ramona’s  moves. Imo they were not only about his lack of capacity of reading emotions. He was good because Ramona could be a friend of him and also an interisting colleague, as he through the years started to enjoy more to interact with other people. But some drama was needed to settle a cliffhanger, although there were other ways to have a cliffhanger about shamy without a potencial third wheel. Let see what s11 will have for us. I am ready for everything  because shamy love is bulletproof. Even we might wait more than one episode or two for see them adorably engaged  though.

They had an opportunity to not go that route and instead have her be say as a scientific profession competitor with the Guidance system project. They could have easily had a storyline when perhaps she turns up with the military in tow to take the science project from the guys. That would have made more sense to me, because in their first encounter she was all about channeling Sheldon's mind into achieving scientific advancement and by the end when she wanted some credit for it he told her to 'jog on'.

Instead they went down the romantic intentions route which was a stretch, IMO there was barely any evidence that she was into him that way during their first encounter. There was that cute line? But again I saw that as Ramona seeing potential distractions in the way i.e. Penny so she was driving her off so he could focus on science.

Overall I think the Ramona return storyline has plenty of plot holes in it and asked the audience to basically make some of it up in their heads about the differences between her last appearance and now. She was a very different character between appearances.

Caution: Incoming nit picking!

The difference in Ramona between her appearances is not a plot hole. A plot hole is a highly illogical development in a story that doesn't make any sense. A simple omission of information is not a plot hole, especially if it can be hand-waved with a bit of common sense. We haven't seen Ramona for 8 years. We don't know what happened to her in that time but it's a no-brainer that people change. Sheldon himself was a lot different back in the day and look where he is now. The changes in Ramona are a lot less dramatic by comparison and the idea of her seeking companionship at her age and thinking Sheldon is the best candidate is not that unreasonable - after all back in the day she admired his intellect and found him cute. It's not implausible that she might have developed a serious crush on him and thought with her back at Caltech and Amy out of the way it's as good a chance as any to win him over.

I know it's frustrating to not get every bit of information one desires but it's not a plot hole.

Will have to see what they have planned, we all assume we might get some more depth in regards to Amy and her family but who knows we may get nothing.

I won't know if the casting or writing is any good until I see it. I would agree totally with you in that I wasn't a fan of Meemaw or Randall writing or casting.

I agree about Penny's brother...As for Meemaw, it was not terrible casting, IMO. I liked the actress and from what Sheldon had said about his grandmother during the years, I figured out she was kind of a badass and very protective of his grandson, the actress played very well those emotions. What didn't work for me was the plot the writers came up with. I could have lived with meemaw not liking Amy because she thought she could have hurt Sheldon again in the future,  but it was very "mean" for her to spill the beans about the ring. That was something the writers could have avoided. I get the reason why they did it, it was basically a message for all of us, we needed to "cool out jets" and forget about the ring for a while. But, I would have preferred Amy didn't know that Sheldon has been sitting on that ring for so long.

Personally, I'm not much into yet another wedding either but since this is the show's golden boy getting married I guess chances for that are pretty slim. They'll make it a big deal in *some* way.

So what I'll hope for is that they find a uniquely quirky and entertaining angle to keep things interesting this time around.

We have talked about fairly large subjects and things (engagement, wedding, Amy's family, Flag Convention etc) that some of us would like to see but are there any small things you perhaps would like to see during the next two seasons?

For example I have always wanted to see their boyfriend/girlfriend sing along night. I think it could provide great comedy especially if their neighbours heard it lol.

More domestic small stuff would be nice, we got some in Season 10 which was great. Perhaps seeing them watching a movie or tv on their couch or something. Little things that add up to the domestic feel even more.

It could be on couch, on bed, wherever they wanted. I have been waiting for that since s9e11, it would be very nice to see it in s11

I just noticed this thread, so I moved my post here.

I haven't been here for a while, busy work.

The whole list is out, wow, I got most of them, but not in the exact order.

Seeing the episodes' numbers, reminds me that I used some of them for my phone's passwords of lock screen.

Like, when I watched that amazing science argument, I used 1004. Then the brunch came, so I switched to 1006, then I watched Buridan's dunkey, so I switched to 1007, then after Listening to "Happy Together", I switched to 1019, then "Shamy's dirty talk" came, I switched to 1023...until this day.

I guess I just want to say, there are so many meaningful and funny and beautiful Shamy episodes in Season 10, especially compare to the Season 9, so whenever I unlock my phone, I would remember these episodes and these scenes and these lines, and I felt so happy and warm. And I'm sure you guys know how many times we used our phones these days, haha.

I LOVE this feeling, I hope I can still feel them in Season 11 and Season 12.

Oh, and, before I forgot.

Recently, I've been watching other American comedies, two of which were Brooklyn 99 and Veep. There are two "Amy" in their shows, and their significant other,  Jake and Dan call their Amy - "Ames"... I thought that was really cute, so I hope I will see Sheldon calling Amy "Ames" in Season 11 and Season 12, just once will be enough...My little wish.

Wish your guys a happy summer, and Best luck to Jim and Mayim in the Emmy.

Grocery shopping / and or cooking together.
Going away a short break or to the flag convention.
Helping their friend/s through a problem together .
Baby sitting !!!!!! Don't have to see the baby but at Howardettes house listening out for Haley crying , prepping bottles or food for the baby !

Some great suggestions!

On the baby sitting thing I actually thought we might see the gang interacting like that at least once in that regard when the pregnancy storyline actually came up, but then obviously they made Stuart as part time live in nanny so maybe that idea was well and truly killed off. They have Stuart, Raj and Bernie's parents. I wouldn't mind seeing an everyone is busy or tied up, Shamy can you take care of Halley storyline lol.

I would like to see perhaps more Howardette/Shamy or as individual characters involving the four of them interactions this season. I would like to see Shamy go over there sometime, i'm all for the rarer or less commonly seen interactions between characters. They make me sit up and really interest me, like Bernie and Sheldon in Season 9.

I loved so much to read your post! It is so true the phone thing, hehe! Mine became one of my virtual best friends as it allows me to have acess to everything shamy related, lol! Oh and

Shamy in next seasons surely will still make us feeling warm and happy. They are truly adorable as they are true of heart and sharing a love to each other for life <3

I wasn't that much interested in having Shamy interacting with Halley in the past, but recently I've changed my mind...Probably I'm influenced by the many cute pics of Jim with kids which are floating around the internet lately (he is shooting a movie involving a family with a 4-5 years old kid), so now I think it could be really cute if Shamy  had to take care of Halley in one episode. It doesn't hurt that we won't see the baby, LOL!

I also like the idea of a Shamy double date with Howardette or, even better, an episode with Sheldon-Bernie and/or Howard-Amy. I find those are unusual but very funny pairings, it would be nice to see them again.

I think a  Sheldon and Amy interaction with Halley could be cute. Babies usualy make cute scenes imo and it doesnt need to happen often in a season. An episode would be nice. 

Agree with @mirs1 as Bernie interacts with Sheldon and Howard with Amy: usually it turn to be nice and funny scenes. Also enjoy much Sheldon and Howard interaction.  I am rooting for a shamy and howardette double dating in next season too. Maybe we get lucky

I agree with you guys about an episode with Shamy babysitting on an evening when no one else is available.   I think it could be really funny.  I picture Amy being terrible with the baby, and not interested at all. If she is indeed an only child, she may have no experience caring for an infant.  But then we see Sheldon totally take over, and he turns out to be fantastic, and adorable with the little girl.

I think it would be interesting to see them thrown in that type of situation and could provide some comedy or perhaps something sweet out of it if somehow it worked out ok and was successful. With no real baby on set it would be easier to do a storyline like that you would think. And it would be IMO a realistic scenario, these are an extremely close groups of friends here, very tight-knit.

Funnily enough, I've always thought as a neurobiologist Amy would have had to handle babies a lot. I picture her getting her portable encephelegraph equipment out whenever she sees Halley, and comparing the readings with those of monkeys and other animals.

She would have done that in the past, but I don't see her doing that recently.  I think the last time she "experimented" with any of the Gang and compared it to an animal was Season 8 (sorting change, puzzle box, etc).  The only reason I know it was Season 8 was because Penny had short hair.
