OR they could have turned it into a great funny shamy in-joke and have Amy un-ironically think his tape was actually fun, unlike Lenny. or maybe I'm just bored of the show . But still I liked that Leonard and Penny did have positive sentiments about how Sheldon needed to be more personable and connect with the kids in the audience and later when Leonard said what matters is inspiring kids to study science ., not whether it is a reboot. And imo Amy's reaction was different than Penny and Leonard ones. Amy implied what Sheldon's video would make others feeling, not what she thought it was. For me she was trying to find a way that Sheldon got it was a bit too much, not that she thought he was being psycotic. But you have your opinion and I have mine and that's cool. We all know now that the writers want Shamy to be the main couple of the show, and there are still stories still left to be told about planning the wedding. On the other hand, maybe the writers aren't doing much with them so that we will all be swept away by the final two episodes of this season. Yes, I watched the whole episode and my sentiment remains the same. There wasn't anything negative regarding shamy in this episode, but it just felt like any other "Sheldon acting unreasonable" plot where he is on a completely different page compared to all the other characters. Up until 1106, I don't think Shamy has any trouble or whatnot, they are happily engaged in my eyes. You are right, we did get spoiled in Season 10, so when Season 11 has not so much going on so far, we just got bored easily. Personally I also think Shamy are fine and I enjoy the little snippets of interaction we get. But what we get is really not that much in the end. Plus the writing feels off with so many throwback jokes, especially for Sheldon. So basically I'm saying the same as your last paragraph with the little addition of "pls less early season Sheldon and more S10 Sheldon kthx." I believe as long they have kind of putting shamy aside of big developments so far this season, they would suddenly to develop the path that lead to their wedding and also the points of situation where are their careers. I just hope they would not drag out that change of pace only in season finale. There will be many episodes until there and as it was pointed out here there are a few Shamy things that must or should (depend on perspective of the Shamy level of investment of the shipper)be told before the end of the show. I think things like meeting Amy family ( at least her father) before the wedding and the arc story about Shamy careers development must be told anyway. amethyst Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 For me personally I'd like to see Shamy have some simple background story lines where they're doing fun newly engaged couple stuff like shopping for a new sofa ( I mean, come on, would the world come to an end if they changed the damn couch!! ) or a new bed or perhaps have fun rearranging the apartment furniture. Nothing major or life changing but would still feel like they're taking small steps forward while working toward the more significant milestones like the wedding. What I don't want to see is Sheldon being jealous of Amy's work when at the end of last season he told her how proud of her he is and how he supports her in everything she does. Or Sheldon telling Raj that he doesn't hold Amy's hand while watching a movie when we've seen him take her by the hand and lead her to the bedroom to " engage in frenzied love making " !! The girls came up with an idea to reenact their high school proms since no one but Penny had a memorable prom experience. We had the group all dressing up, the rooftop all decorated, Leonard and Penny slow dancing on the rooftop together and Howard worried about Stuart turning up with his mother as his Prom date. Next Dec 4 season 11 is on tv here!! And guess what? Young Sheldon too at same channel and same day Tbbt s11 airs! So excited! Because I was afraid that the amount of portuguese viewers would not worth the money to buy the rights of broadcasting most recent season. I have a good amount of good friends who enjoy watching the show but they are not so many that they would be seen like the ideal number of people for make the rantings of a tv show be high, LOL! I just hope we get meanwhile more from Shamy to discuss about! I miss that very much....
