lol had they listened to the actors I suspect we would still be at early season Shamy right now if Mayim had a say and with Jim they would have been married and the rest by now lol. Jim always used to say they progressed at a 'glacial pace' I wouldn't necessarily say that is a compliment.

I, also, am very much against a make-over.  [my rant about all women having to be decorative goes here______________.]

That said, they could present her as she is a bit differently.  Why couldn't she be seen on the couch using her laptop wearing a t-shirt, or just sans sweater?  She wears a colored t-shirt, a button up shirt and a sweater.  Just seeing her without the sweater would accomplish some of the same as a make-over, without actually changing her character.

Much as I hated the idea of Amy dating someone other than Sheldon, she was single, and free to date whomever she wanted.

Also, Dave didn't make an unwanted move on her.

A bit late to the makeover party but I would like to say I share same opinions than @mirs1 and @Jonny.

  I have always enjoyed Amy's  wardrobe and her look  and imo I would not change anything about Amy more than  she had lately as she had  had a few changes especially since last season that to me fits nicely to her personality. Shamy had never been that kind of couple too much into beauty stuff like wardrobe and hair stuff and thb it was what made me fell in love to them in first place. The power of feelings from heart , not from the looks, you know.

 Course one episode about Amy wearing  for example her hair slightly different as she had a new hairpin or a shorter skirt as Sheldon could notice and say she was beautiful or he likes her legs or something alike, to me it would work nicely but I would live without to see that on screen, as I know Sheldon thinks his girl is beautiful in all fronts.

Regards what Mayim and Jim think about shamy and their insights, definetely I am a Jim fan about his shamy insights.  Mayim is a very clever woman about many fields but imo sometimes she tends to be a bit disconneted about her character. Jim seem more into all sides of Sheldon’s  live and as Amy’s  is one of these meaning sides for his character, he tends to be more thoughtfull. Maybe that's  why his opinions are more synced with writers's  as I dont believe either as he had more influence in writers choices than Mayim. There are things that are logical as the characters envolved more like shamy had done since they started their sexual life together  like the pilow talks.  Doesnt matter imo to see everytime Sheldon and Amy have sex ( and the way it was taken care in 10.11 and 10.23 was brilliant, btw) but to see their talks as they share a place together as they share everything and talk about everything that made part of their lives. Jim's comment about their time in bed was really clever and touching from someone who really knows his character and wishes the best for him. Mayim should get some tips with him, no offense.

About Amy and the sweaters - friends of mine that worked in biology labs [at Walter Reed Army Hosp. or Bethesda Naval Hosp.] always commented on how cold the laboratories were and they'd be chilled for a while after leaving the laboratory.  So, it actually makes sense, to me, to see Amy wearing a sweater in Southern California as my pals carried that cold with them for hours after.

I am late to the party, but I just want to weigh in on the "Hard core fans don't like 1024 that much, not like casual viewers." topic.

Based on my observation on the social media in my country, this statement is true. The general viewers really loved 1024, they were really impressed by Sheldon's efforts in his proposal, and they thought the cliffhanger had some expected value, surely more shocking and interesting than 924. And I've seen many comments said they were not so sure Amy would say yes. Which I disagree, but I think that proved this cliffhanger at least had some discussion points. 

And, there was a coincidence, just a few days later, Jim actually got married in real life. And, apparently, the general fans LOVED this, they kept talking about "Sheldon just proposed to Amy, and then Jim Parsons married his real life boyfriend", at that time, this coincidence was everywhere, even some people who never watch TBBT knew about this, "Love Wins".

So, I guess I gotta admit, the writers gambled, and they didn't lose.

No1 - good catch@spidergirl with regard to the "mum's house" comment from season 9 ep9, I call my Mum's house just that, when actually her husband lives there too, but before Mum married him she lived there alone or with me so I call it my Mums - never Mum & Ken's. So maybe Amy's Mum re married or lives with a guy but new husband or boyfriend moved into her house ?!!
No2 - I defiantly don't want an Amy make over, yes ok for a "special night " getting glam & dressed up is cool but day to day, just Amy's style please !!
No3 - I keep saying how I really feel like Captain Jim is much more " in tune " with what's to happen & what he'd like to happen more often than not it does !!! - we love him for it !!!! But Mayim !!!! Oh man , I do love her but she can be a Debbie downer when it comes to interviews about what's next for Shamy !!! Lol , Jim could maybe have a word !! [emoji51][emoji51]

Molaro and Mayim together at SDCC will be a lot to digest for us fans, I can't even think of what she will say there, LOL! Fingers crossed there is a "surprise" guest (at least via Skype, they did something like that during a Comic Con panel years ago...) like Jim to cheer us up!

Same here, LOL! The Amy’s  answer to the Sheldon's proposal could go to  either way.... right, lol!

Yes, I agree. I think sometimes she sees things differently than the most of the fans. But, there were some exceptions. I do remember, at that time, Mayim said 909 was really beautiful, so it gave me lots of hope, yet after I got spoiled about the plots of 909, I just felt really sad and a little bit furious...Then, after watching 909, I indeed felt this episode was sad but really moving, and the interaction between Shamy and the little game in the aquarium were indeed "beautiful". And then 910 came, so I was not furious anymore. Haha.

Oh, and I've been reading you guys' discussion about Bert and Dave and Ramona, I noticed something, these three characters, plus that Vanassa girl in 908, are the ones who all really liked/likes Sheldon and Amy, and they are all so tall...

Coincidence? I thought this is really funny...

I don't want a completely makeover, either. I can accept some changes in Amy on special occasions, like Snow White, prom, etc. But definitely not want to see too much change.

And my friend who studies in the US told me that there were people who dressed like Sheldon and Amy on Halloween, and then posted the photos on Tumblr. I thought this was really cute and cool, haha. 

And I always thought most main characters on the show have their own icon wardrobe, albeit Sheldon is the most outstanding one, but the others are still very unique. Remember that two Howardette dolls Howard printed by 3D printer? They are Very cute and you can identify them at a glance.

So, I think I don't want anyone do a makeover.

I agree, but I would still like to at least see some small changes. They are in California. She doesn't always need sweaters, vests and opaque tights on even if she does wear them in the lab. I liked the dress she wore when they had the prom, when she went out with Dave, the way she dressed when she knew Sheldon planned on making love for her birthday for a few examples. They could make some small changes without totally making her conform to the latest fashion fads. Just more of her wearing nylons and nicer shoes would be a good start. I admit it, I'm just tired of arguing with people who say she's ugly because they just can't get past the clothes. When I show them pictures of Mayim in dressier clothes they are often surprised.

I liked the outfit she wore for their dinner in The Indecision Amalgamation, which I believe is also the same outfit as she wore, in The Fortification Implementation.

I like the blouse but not the schoolgirl pinafore dress. It looks too childish to me.

I haven't been at home for the whole weekend so I can only now join the discussion on a possible makeover for Amy:

I think the general idea could be fun for an episode but in the end I also don't want Amy to change too much. I really appreciated that when she thought about a makeover in 9x03 and the other girls were super eager to change her style Amy turned the idea down cause she didn't want to change just for some man. So I think if they want to go down that route they should still respect that stance in some way.

I mean, we already know Sheldon finds her hot either way so I'm not sure what the motivation would be? Like, I guess the girls could try again because of some contrived reason but even they should know their friend better at this point. Maybe a harmless ~girls weekend out~ with fun makeovers for all as a bachelorette party thing?? But a bit like the Disney princess plot where everyone gets to participate and it's not specifically about "make Amy pretty" because *barf* nobody needs that. She's pretty in her own way and she clearly likes her style and it's comfy. I wouldn't be opposed though if she comes back with a nice outfit or whatever as long as it's still within her usual style.

She looks better in a dress than in separates. She's worn some nice dresses and they suit her. I don't think she needs a makeover. She can arrange her hair and do make-up when she wants to. What beats me is why anybody needs a cardigan in California. Amy and Bernadette wear them all the time but Penny doesn't.

Raj also wears sweaters regularly.

Penny and Sheldon are the only ones who dress as though they are in southern California.  Amy works in a lab.  Why the others - even Leonard - wear all the layers they do is beyond me.

I can understand feeling chilly for a while after being in a cold lab, but dressing all day every day for a winter in the north of England even in a California apartment heated to 72F is a bit over the top. Even when they're going to bed they wear T-shirts under their pyjama jackets.

I'd like them to answer this at SDCC.
