Yes, you are so right, I was really worried for a second, then I was surprised that Amy stopped herself from asking and returned to her "giddy style".

And then, the speech. Oh, the speech. 

I really appreciate that the writers wrote the speech about "Amy and Dark Matter" comparison, since now Sheldon's research field is Dark Matter, so it was more IC for Sheldon, and it clearly was from the bottom of his heart...

Oh, and the wedding feels.

Great points you all made, as usual. Very enjoyable reading , I missed all this Shamy fanshipper feelings here. Hopefully it was back for good!

Btw, I did not feel any fear as the Sw movie was mentioned because the way Sheldon spoke about they (Shamy) would finished the year strongly , his look at Amy imo gave  away that SW will be always linked to wonderful stuff to them equally, not only for him as a fan.. I mean, another one of his fav movies sagas coming out, which we know is closer to Amy's birthday, getting married would be the icing on cake... After all a man has his needs as Sheldon will say openly  in next episode, LOL!

It is so good to see our adorkable couple so grown and so in love!

In that scene what impressed me the most was how happy and excited Amy was. She really meant that for her being with Sheldon was the most important thing and a City Hall wedding would have been just perfect. She didn't care about ushers, ring bearer and flower girls at all. On the other hand, for Sheldon all those things start to sound important, not per se, obviously, but because he wants to show off to the world how lucky he has been in meeting Amy. I see this episode as somehow the conclusion of a journey started with the break up. They broke up exactly because Amy wanted a more conventionally romantic relationship and Sheldon was not yet aware of the role Amy had in his life. They both have come a long way, and here we are!

I was trying to figure out where we had seen it before and I finally found it.  The Convention Conundrum (7x14) when the girls went to tea.

The casual viewer doesn't pay that much attention or keep track of a lot of things on the show, which is, possibly, why the writers don't care.  Look at how often Young Sheldon breaks so called canon and it's doing well.

I'm really hoping after this that Sheldon gets his world wedding with dancing and all that. They've got ninety days to arrange something now. My fear is something will happen and they'll regret not going through with the clerk wedding. It all seems too good to be true that all will go ahead smoothly. I hope my worry will be groundless.

Why the  worried tone? I am surprised, dont get me wrong but you are always thoughfull but not too worried about our couple.

 S10 was good and although s10 finale was a bit stressfull, everything made sense mostly as Sheldon proposed and explained Amy why that moment.  Shamy now is truly connected to each other and know well their role and meaning in each other's life. They love each other uncondionately and when that's the case in a couple's life, they go through everything. The prove is Shamy made through that horrible but needed breaking up and now they are getting closer to get married , preparing everything in a way both will enjoy. They are doing good

That's why I'm worried. I don't trust the writers not to produce a deus-ex-machina. 

I do think they'll be married but I have a feeling the lovely wedding they're planning will be frustrated somehow and there'll be a delay.

I dont believe so. Because after a few good episodes this season related with the proposal answer, wedding plans and the stress related with them and an almost elopment where they decided to not go to that route,  postponing it would sound too many episodes without the real thing (wedding ceremony) to happen. It is at least my taken about what I have seen from this season though.

Good point. I think Sheldon is sometimes judged harshly on every little thing he does- whether he is s6! Sheldon or not, whether he is saying all the right things or not; whether he is ruining things or not, whether he is making the right gestures or not…but Amy’s growth, is often forgotten. I liked that Amy wasn’t s6! Amy either. It shows how Amy has grown and changed . The elopement suggestion seemed like a practical solution to something causing them stress. Amy’s overall sentiment, that a big wedding is not as important as marrying Sheldon and spending the rest of her life with him was refreshing, Her being genuinely happy with the prospect of a simple city hall wedding was a sign of maturity.

Hi guys,

I don’t know if you already talked about details of the wedding as I am still digging through all of the 89 pages of this great thread ?

But I thought since its Christmas I could post my wishes ?

Here they come ...

I want Sheldon to wear an official Star Trek dress uniform especially designed for him. I would like the designers of Beyond and Discovery to do it. I should be white (!) with black trousers and he will have a killer look in it. As for Amy’s dress it should also be Star Trek - esque with a black décolleté in the shape of the original series becoming silver around the waist and then white, wide and long.

I don’t know why but I think this outfit for both of them would look stunning and it is at least something Sheldon would want. 

The story around this could be good as well with Amy surprising him with a matching dress ...

What a cute episode!!! Amy was so very happy for the surprise, I never saw her that excited! Sheldon made a lot of historically accurate efforts (too historically accurate, given they both got sick) for surprising her! I'm so relieved that S. 10 Sheldon is back!!!

Besides...Amy was wearing Sheldon's clothes in bed, his pajamas pants (the sexy pajamas pants, good call to last year birthday episode!!!) and I guess also the top was Sheldon's. It's not the fanbase's wish of her wearing his Flash T-shirt, but close enough! LOL!
