Kaley Cuoco Takes Big Loss on Sale of Tarzana Mansion

After nearly a year on the market with a steady series of declining prices, sitcom superstar and budding television producer Kaley Cuoco has sold her celeb-pedigreed mansion in L.A.’s ultra-suburban community of Tarzana for $3.95 million. The sale price is not only a staggering amount below the overly optimistic original price tag of $6.9 million, unfortunately for Cuoco’s pocketbook, it rings up at just over $1.5 million under the not quite $5.5 million she paid reality TV maven Khloé Kardashian for the gated spread in early 2014. Coincidentally, the sale price is also the exact amount Kardashian and her now ex-husband, pro basketballer Lamar Odam, paid for the property in late 2009.

Interesting. She's not hurting financially and probably glad she sold it.

Aside from being a tough real estate market, I think her house was hard to sell because of all the personal things she had as décor: horse wallpaper, etc. I guess whoever bought it did not want to pay the asking price and then pay for any redecorating to their taste. But, like you said do not think she is hurting financially.

Especially being married to Karl as he is a heir to a fortune. I wonder if they both signed pre-nups?  😉

My guess is that they have a pre-nup whereby whatever they each take into the marriage they keep and whatever they buy together in the marriage they split evenly....for instance the house they just bought.  That is probably why they keep their horses and barns separate. Think Kaley's Big Bay City ranch is all hers and Karl's ranch where they got married is all his,  Seems very practical.

That's a good probability.

Kaley will be a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on ABC this Monday, April 6th! :) The show has been airing at 12:05 A.M., so I guess this is technically Monday's show airing into the wee hours of Tuesday...

Her farm is starting to look like a zoo. :icon_cheesygrin:

Dogs, rabbits, pigs and horses. Now she need Camels, Elephants and Giraffe's for the makings of a zoo. But, she has a good start. 😊

Kaley Cuoco remembers John Ritter on the 15th anniversary of the series finale of '8 Simple Rules': 'He taught me what it's like to be a leader'

video in link above ⬆️

Quote
In 2002, future Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco landed her breakout role on the ABC sitcom, 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter, starring TV legend John Ritter as her on-screen dad. The series premiered to strong reviews and ratings, suggesting that it would run for multiple seasons. But tragedy struck at the beginning of the second season, when Ritter passed away after suffering an aortic dissection. While ABC made the decision to continue the series, viewership steadily declined and 8 Simple Rules aired its series finale 15 years ago on April 15, 2005. “With John passing away, that changed the whole course of that show,” Cuoco tells Yahoo Entertainment now. “I truly believe if John had still been around, we probably would have gone on for a long time.”

Sometimes fate takes charge. If John Ritter had not passed away 8 Simple Rules might have been a bigger hit than it was and Kaley might never have gotten The Big Bang role she so prominently made into her own and became the star she was destined for.

So true.
