she may not need to, Doris’ hairstyle was pretty much the same, they could go with a wig.

as for more information, there is a link in the post above, which takes you to a post in new projects which has a link to an article about the show.

In something I think is more interesting, there is this article, dated July 6:

https://deadline.com/2021/07/kaley-cuoco-in-talks-to-star-produce-studiocanal-picture-companys-high-concept-thriller-role-play-1234786566/

Could this be part of their being pulled in different directions?  Cause if they were in talks, any agreement would probably have been from mid July to early August.

Very much a possibility.

I would say, at this time, he either will be coming back to LA or is uncertain.  The question will be if he does come back whether it is for acting or producing.  I say this simply because if he was planning on not coming back, he would sell the house instead of leasing it.  This way, with a year lease, he can take time decide if he indeed wants to return.  If yes, he'll have a place to come back to, if no, then he can sell it.

I also believe he is into writing. That may also be an alternative

Deadline announce ( and Kaley posted it) that Kaley will be starting in a new movie.  planning to start shooting in May of next year.   She still has to finish the flight attendant and the Doris Day story is out there, so yeah, she is going to be busy.

You know what I would love to see her do is write a book like some of these other celebrities have done ( Jessica Simpson?, Alyssa Milano) She has already lived a lifetime since she was sixteen and it would be interesting to see her views on the bts of Big Bang, her relationships, her success and all her pets and horses.  Another thing that popped into my head is how she felt about this gun accident in the Alec Baldwin movie as when she had to fire the gun in the final episode of The Flight Attendant?

I think from now on, whether it's TV or Movies, all props will be checked. Not only checked, but double and even triple checked. An accident like that should never happened!

When you talk about not having time together, you also have to look into the future.   Karl's ranch,  his source of income is in San Diego.   He doesn't just ride, he, along with his business partner, also breeds and trains horses and he oversees the running of the ranch.  That particular job requires him to be in San Diego for long stretches.   It may be only a two hour drive, but that is each way.  Each day, he'd be looking at a situation where he would be getting to their home north of LA,  in time to get to bed.   A situation that would be like he wasn't there.

Also, I'm not sure if anyone here has really noticed, but since last year, he has been on a rather lengthly streak of doing well in tournaments.  He now has three horses that he competes with in the Grand Prix and FEI events.  Continuing to do well, and moving into a higher bracket, possibly the Olympics, would require more training time, more time with the horses, more traveling, as most of the big events are on the east coast, in Kentucky and Tennessee, along with Florida, even while continuing to run the ranch.

I know we follow Kaley, and we know her career is really going well.  But, as an executive  producer, she'll be responsible for overseeing all the details of the productions.  You add in her acting (we now hear she's shot an appearance on "Curb Your Enthusiasm"  in addition to everything else), and she may have to work on those production details, for the next production, the same day she was acting in a current production.  As a result of that, she's also not home because of the long hours and traveling.

I think the triggering event could have been them sitting down looking for when they would have some time together, and realized that it wasn't going to happen in the near future, or even the far future, unless one or the other gave up their careers.  And if  neither one of them wanted to give up their careers, there may have been a realization that there was no reason to stay  married.  As far as kids, if they weren't willing to give up their careers, kids should be out of the question.

I guess the curiosity about Kaley and Pete Davidson has worn off as I read an article that although he was in California he was hanging out with Kim Kardashian and her sister. The article showed that Pete was on a rollercoaster with Kim and holding hands but it is a platonic relationship. This is much like he did with Kaley at Great Adventure amusement. Guess Kaley must have told him she was not interested. Oh well such is life!

We've discussed how busy Kaley is, but only touched on how busy Karl is.  Besides running his ranch, over the last year,  he's spent 26 of the 52 weeks competing.  The first five of those weeks were in California,(about a 2.5 to 3 hour drive from the home).  After a four week break,(shipping horses can take some time)  the next  six of those weeks were in Florida.  After a two week break, eight weeks were in Kentucky-Virginia, before another two week break before competing for five weeks in Michigan. Finally a two week break and he's competed for the last two weeks  in North Carolina.  He will be moving on to Kentucky, for the next two weeks.  There were also various single weeks of not competing adding to the time at each place.

North Carolina and Kentucky are important, because there are events there that are part of the North American League schedule, to qualify for the 2022 FEI World Cup.   Karl was riding in the East coast and and the Midwest and missed the first two events, on the West coast.   There are several more qualifiers over the next two months.  Las Vegas, Florida, Texas and even in Mexico.  I don't think he'll make all of them, but with his fourth place finish, he currently sits 9th in the standings.    The top 24 go to the world cup final, in Germany, in early April, 2022.

As for the World Cup, you just can't drop the horse off the day before.  They generally ship, for Europe, four to six weeks prior to the competition.  So, sometime late February or early March, so they can recover from the time change.  So how does all this tie in with Kaley?  Remember, Kaley's most recently announce project, Role Play, will start shooting in early 2022, about the time, or just before Karl would be leaving for Europe.  They might not have seen each other for most of the first half of 2022, and when you add in his being gone and her being gone, this year, it gives a lot of support to their careers pulling them in different directions.

Finally, if you add up the the weeks above, you are short about eight weeks.  Well, in Michigan, he competed for there weeks, there was a break, then competed for two weeks.  That break was eight weeks long, and took place from midish July until early September. About the eight weeks just before their announcement of their separating.

A great analysis as usual. Karl does seem much more involved in his equestrian events than when they were first married. And of course Kaley's career has taken off since TBBT ended. I guess to envision there lives changing like this would would have taken a big crystal ball. So they assuredly did not see this happening when they proclaimed themselves KCSQUARED forever. But don't you think somehow their outlook for the future would have covered  some of these changes?

I think there was something more than just their busy careers that cause the divorce, but we will probably never know.

I agree  I just cannot believe with both of their careers booming and the little time they spent together they could not somehow make some compromises to keep their marriage together. One thing has me puzzled. Kaley said after the divorce announcement "It wasn't right with Karl" She wanted something different and felt they were not on the same page for the future. She said she wanted to  go in a different direction and have different types of experiences. It became clear to her it wasn't going to work with Karl. This really baffles me and it seems she was the one who wanted the divorce. Don't have any idea what experiences or directions she was talking about but i guess this was the sticking point in their discussions.

I know Kaley has said in the past that she really want to have children, perhaps Karl has put his foot down and explained that he doesn’t want any babies

Look, they got engaged and married while Kaley was still working on TBBT.  There is no way she could have seen the effect that The Flight Attendant would have on her career.  The nominations she's gotten, have helped her get more roles.  Her record in feature film is very spotty (and I say this as someone who absolutely loves her), so getting those is not something that could have been expected.

As for Karl, he was a few years from tearing down and rebuilding his riding style and was still very inconsistent.  There was no way he could have known it would carry him even further.  You also have to have a pretty damn good horse.  And, while his main horse is still Caillou, he has won or placed with four other horses over the last few months.  Over the last two years, he's gone from being ranked in the mid 90s, to number 25 in the US, and 114 in the world.

Could they have foreseen some what happened, I'm sure they hope some it would go their way.  But, I don't think either of them saw how far they have come, with more possibly in the future,  in a such a short time.

It's easy to sit her and say, they could compromise on this or that.  But, with two people near the top of their volatile fields, it becomes difficult.  Does she turn down a role or two?  That could cause other roles to be given to other people.  Does she quit taking projects for her production company?  That would cause those people who are part of the company to lose work. Does he not compete at a certain event?  An event that gives him points toward qualifying for the top completion in the world?  Does he quit going to other events, events that help him train with different horses.  Without that training, they may not qualify for the events that would lead to those point competitions.

As for the quote, that wasn't Kaley.   It was an unnamed source,  here's how that a quote started:  "As the source put it, 'She realized it wasn't right with Karl...'"  And nothing more after this (other than the comment being copied by other outlets).   BTW, this  same outlet repeated the statement about Karl wanting miscellaneous jewelry and personal items returned to him in the court documents.  I think we all remember all those unnamed sources that had Kaley, after her divorce from Ryan, dating Johnny or Paul Blackthorne, or partying at the various after parties, only to find she had taken her rep with her.  So,  take it with a large salt mine.

I do think it's possible, as  Swedish Chef mentioned that it could have something to do with kids.  But, while that scenario is possible, with all the on-screen work Kaley has coming up, maybe she changed her mind about having kids  or is looking to delay having them.   With everything they both have going on, I can't see either of them wanting kids at this time, unless one or the other is willing to almost completely drop their careers.

There may be, but there is nothing factually known, from them,  that would indicate that.  They said their, "...current paths are pulling them in different directions..."  And, from what we know about where they were, what they are doing and what they have coming up, there isn't anything to discredit that.  Indeed, it supports their statement.   Now, if we get some different information,

I think they probably realised they hadn't much in common apart from their love of horses and competing. Karl never really turned up to events to support  her. She went with her sister or her staff. Could be their busy schedules took its toll and just fell out of love. Who knows? Covid lockdown could have had a profound impact on the relationship as well. Fighting over things. My perspective is that they probably had problems beforehand and maybe the pandemic brought additional pressure on their relationship. I'm surprised they didn't seek relationship counseling.
All signs that there is trouble in paradise.

Well the way you have laid it out I agree there probably was very little room to compromise. And children might have been a factor but that is their personal decision. It is just sad to see a couple that seemed so much in love and had everything going for them end in such a sudden way.

It is sad.  I was very happy for her and Karl as they seemed to have quite a bit in common, along with letting the other be themselves.   To see it all just go away, so quickly, I feel bad for both of them.

The rags and it seems some people out there, are looking for a ways to make this out as there was some sort of huge problem in their marriage.  I mean, there could have been, but nothing factual reported, so far, indicates it is more than what they stated.  I mean angry, bitter, contested divorces are not filed nearly word for word in the petition and response.  They way they filed simply indicates two people who agreed to everything for the split beforehand and who simply want to go their separate ways, with no drama.

That scenario seems the best way to describe their split. Kaley seems to be handling it ok publicly, privately who knows. Karl does not post much on his IG so we don't know how he is coping with the divorce. I recall Kaley saying when she met Karl it was not love at first sight. She did not want to jump into a committed relationship so quickly after her divorce from Ryan Sweeting. Karl, however said in their wedding vows he fell in love with Kaley from the night they met. So, he might be taking this parting a little harder. Nevertheless I still think they love each other and whatever will be will be.

If they do still care for each other, it will be hard on both of them if Kaley starts going to the horse shows again to compete, since they will have no choice but to see each other.  Sort of reminds me a little of her breakup with Johnny because she still had to see him every day and interact with him, so in a lesser sense, if she gets back to jumping her horses it will be almost impossible not to run into Karl.

That's a mighty big if right now. Her plate, so to speak, is full with very little free time. At least to do competitive shows again. Maybe in the future. I could see her attending as a spectator.

I really don’t think Kaley will be competing anytime soon. As discussed over recent days, her schedule is full with Yes Norman projects and other (increasing weekly it seems) work related to her acting/producing career. Competing in horse shows is also very physical work and although Ms Cuoco is in stupendous physical shape and works out regularly, I would wager a guess that riding requires a different physical condition. By the time she and Karl meet on the riding/jumping circuit, much time will have passed and there is a good chance that they both may have moved on emotionally from this break. My opinion course. They (or one party) could be still in a state mourning over the failure/loss of the marriage.

I like to think that they both are in that category. They both seem to be keeping themselves busy so as to deal with the divorce.

I understand what you are saying but then she does seem to have a big investment in “Big Bay” and her horses to just lay off the show circuit for a couple years.
