I am 72 and still have a 29 inch waist and weight 133 pounds.  I was 125 pounds the day I graduated High school. Shatner's belly weights more Than I do.

Which means what exactly? I was 125 when I graduated, 220 now. Of course I was 16 and 5'4", so being 8 inches taller, the weight isn't a big deal. Not to mention I'm on medication that has a side effect of weight gain and I put on 30 pounds since I went on the medicatin. And before you say just exercise, I do. However, my condition limits how much I can exercise. Our neighbor is 76 and probably around 130-140, but he's also 6'2" and doesn't look all that good.

Just watched that interview, wow, that was something. She was a real trooper not making a big deal of it and trying to keep it a secret. It really makes those entertainment news people look like real asses. She did look beautiful on Kimmel though.

I really do not understand why the entertainment news made such a big deal over her bangs.  They did not look that bad in my opinion, it seems like such a trivial thing to make an issue over.

 

I have never really followed an actor or actress before until watching Kaley, and in my opinion she comes across as a very classy young lady.

Well, as bad as, can be subjective, but you sound as if you're in good shape. I was just point out that there are others out there, at 82, who look a lot worse, either more weight, a lot less weight causing them to look frail, etc. I know that by the time I'm 82, I will not be able to move around as well as Shatner does, weight and all, due to a medical condition. If I even make it to 82.

I don't think I'd ever compare you to Kaley. Not to say you're not in good shape, but I would prefer her shape. This was not intended as a sarcastic comment. I'm quite sure you would prefer her shape to mine.

BTW, the question asking about your point was I didn't quite understand what you meant exactly about Kaley. I now understand so it makes sense to me now. That appears to be my fault for misunderstanding, not yours, although your comment here made it more clear for me so I can see your point now. I was using love loosely as in like a lot. I like Penny as the character is very similar to my wife, when we were young. I love my wife, I like Penny. I also like Kaley in the same sense as Penny. The biggest thing is she is involved in rescuing dogs. My wife and I volunteer with a local cat rescue group. Some of the things she has done publicly are things, it appears I would agree with. Her social views, limited to what she has specifically said are similar to my own. I can't get to know either Penny or Kaley enough to love either of them.

Wil started his twitter account about 5 or 6 years ago. Kaley has had her twitter account for less than 3 years. Besides Wil posts on his twitter account much more often then Kaley does.

Kaley doesn't get the attention she deserves. She has been in the business over 20 years and she is a lead on the most popular comedy on TV , but if you look at the entertainment news, she is hardly in it.

So true, Kaley is great. She's funny, down to earth and isn't trying to prove anything. I also agree that she is underated and I think it's because she plays the 'dumb blonde' type, even though Penny isn't stupid.

You makes some excellent points about Kaley.  She does come across as very down to earth and fun to be around, if you have seen some of the video's and photos that she has sent out on twitter of her and her glame squad.  On the late night show interviews she always comes across as a very classy lady.

One thing I absolutely love about her is her ability of self-depreciation.   She does something silly, and someone mentions it (or in some cases, she herself will bring it up), she owns up to it.    Then, she defuses it, by making a joke of it or laughing at herself for doing the silly thing.

She's just cute as... I hasten to say even my wife likes her. Very genuine. we both so laughed at her and the shake weight thing on Ellen. Very funny and natural.

I really like to see her in more movies. She seems perfect for a supporting actress role and maybe later lead role. The small part she had in HOP she did well and a couple other movies, she did as an adult, she was good in too.

Kaley does seem like a nice person and reasonably normal, considering her fame and everything.  I was kind of annoyed with some British rag mag that ran some candid shotsof her online showing her going to the gym with no make up on, trying to make a negative story of how she looked.   Doesn't take long as a celebrity to become target for the slime press.   She is attractive, she's smart and she has great comedic timing and expressions.

 

She was in a movie last year called "The Last Ride" about Hank Williams.  Haven't seen it yet and I don't know how big a part she had.  I am sure there will be some more movies in her future.

If you are talking about the picture of her coming out looking very tired, I saw that.  She looked like she needed some sleep, like it had been a long week.  However, she looked like a normal person.  I mean, who puts on make up to go and work out?

This is, in a way, hilarious. The woman's name that Sheldon comes up with, for Alex, in his "example" for his "Council of Ladies" is Tondelaya Della VENTIMIGLIA. I wonder if that was a callback, and if it is, wow.
