While this isn't technically taping-related, I didn't no where else to post this... I'm looking for recommendations concerning the regular WB Studio Tour vs. the Deluxe package. Last year, I took the regular, $65 tour and really enjoyed it. We were taken onto the set of The Fosters, while I would have LOVED seeing the sound-stages of The Big Bang Theory, Mom, The Middle, or Fuller House up close. I want to go back, and didn't know if it was worth it to go "deluxe" this time or not. I know there are no guarantees, but the site claims that "every tour is different" and would like to increase my odds of actually stumbling onto something better. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks in advance! I'm flying out to Burbank on Sunday for the upcoming season 11 premiere taping, as well as some sightseeing and The Price is Right.

Kev, did you mention to the tour guide you were a huge fan of TBBT?  I know several others have mentioned that and they were taken to TBBT set, for the set tour.  .  No guarantees, of course, but it has worked for others.  Also, since TBBT set is busy on Monday and Tuesday, it's less likely to get on the set.   Most of those getting on TBBT set were there on weekend tours.    I know the other shows also work, but  many shows have their table read, on Monday, which frees up the set.

Thanks, Tensor. :) Last year, I mentioned to my tour guide that I was a huge fan, but I think it just didn't pan out because it was the Monday before the taping. Would going on Sunday be any better, if I'm able to get tickets for a time that suits? I read on another site that someone who sprung for the Deluxe Tour met Bill Prady, who was also having lunch there. Again, I realize that's pretty rare, but wanted to know if you actually see more, like sound-stages, via the Deluxe Tour.

Well, Sunday is an off day for the set, so I'd say that would increase your chances.  I'll have to let others comment about the deluxe tour, that I don't know.  My other comments were based on comments other members have made in various threads here, and thought it might help you.  :shy:

Hi,

I have got "guaranteed" tickets to a taping in September. I saw that the queues will be split around 3:30pm - do we need to be there for then? Or will we still be ahead of the stand-by tickets so long as we arrive before 5pm (90 minutes before the start time, as it says on the tickets). We will be flying in from Vegas, so don't really want to get there too early if we don't have to.

Thanks

H

Hi @superrhan. Congrats on getting tickets!

Once the line splits, anyone that comes after that time will be added to the end of the line for the type of tickets they hold. You would be placed in the guaranteed line when you arrive.

@BigBangEnthusiast thank you so much :)

What time does taping generally end? Is there any possibility that you could leave before they have finished filming?

(We haven't decided on logistics yet and might have a flight to catch after the filming).

I've been to three tapings, and all ended between 9:30 and 9:45 p.m. I've heard they can go a little longer. From my experience, I don't recall anyone leaving early. They really recommend that once you're seated, you should stay in your seat for the duration of the show. They give plenty of warning for using the bathroom before entering the studio.

Have a great time!

Does anyone have any experience with parking either in the Gate 3 ramp or nearby street parking? In the past we've stayed at The Tangerine, so parking wasn't an issue, but the price keeps going up. From what I've heard, WB doesn't want anyone to park in the ramp before 3 pm but will sometimes allow it.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I would try calling Audiences Unlimited to see what they recommend. Have you looked into staying at the Best Western? That's where I always stay, and it's directly across from The Tangerine. I'm sure you've explored your options, but I just wanted to toss it out there that I've had good experiences at the Best Western in Burbank, in case you haven't considered it.

Hi @Kev0821. Thank you for the recommendation. Best Western is $10 cheaper. I was hoping for something a little more inexpensive. I can ty contacting AU too.

AU took BBT off the schedule list.   Something is going on and they're making it harder to expect release. We need more inspectors to crack the pattern. Good luck to everyone trying!

That's odd. It also seems like tickets are going up sooner than they have in the past, and on weekends, too.

I see future show dates through November. They released guaranteed tickets yesterday even though it was a holiday.

Yes! I got tickets for 10x19 on a Sunday.

Yeah, when I got tickets for the season 11 premiere, it was after 2:30 EST. Something made me check-in around that time, thankfully. It makes you wonder if they're purposefully trying to throw people off. That's just speculation, of course, because it could really come down to when they are provided with the dates/tickets from the studio.

Hi,

I am one of the lucky people to get a ticket for the october 3th taping.

Does anyone know if there is a possibility to park an RV (length 25ft, height 11 ft) near the studios, I believe the gate 3 parking has height restrictions which makes it not suitable for RV parking.

Thanks in advance!

Roland

Awesome! I'll be at that taping too. I'm not sure about the parking. I actually have questions about parking also.

Slightly unrelated, but I tried getting By the Book tickets (Johnny's new show) on mobile for October 6. It said 'sold out', which I found strange because there were earlier dates still available. Tried again from desktop and got tickets no problem.

Note, when I got my October 3 TBBT tickets, I got them through mobile.
