I mean I'm not a huge fan of Prom. But Lenny were kinda sweet in the episode. So I voted Prom. ON has the superior plot though. Wasent the biggest fan of the Shamy Sex Plot. Too cliched for my liking. But l enjoyed the SW plot. Was refreshing.

I chose ON because I thought that both the A & B stores were strong and I loved the little bits of P/B mixed in.  For me, the B story in Prom was creepy.

Heh that is why I found it funny .

Well ON won in a landslide. Better episode.

Next one clearly Scavenger, it's loosing to the very very average Long Distance Dissoonance. Sheldon proposed though, can't beat that :icon_biggrin:

Scavenger involved the whole gang in a different way from  LDD. There was more variety to it. Although the pairs were in competition with one another in Scavenger there wasn't the impression of hostility I felt from LDD.  All the same, I don't know how I'm going to get through this week.

Scavenger - Great dynamics while switching up the normal pairings. The interplay between the characters was really fun. I thought LDD was an average episode. I didn't care much for the first appearance of Ramona and this one was no better. 'Clueless' Sheldon has become tedious and if he was going to propose I would rather have seen it come from moments of quiet reflection and conscious choice, as opposed to what appeared to be a knee jerk reaction to an uncomfortable situation.

However, it appears the Shamy vote will give this round to LDD... :scratchhead:

I actually liked the Mario Cart scene, with the action leading up to it.

I'm sure Sheldon has been thinking and reflecting on getting engaged for a long time. Goodness knows what went through his head when Ramona planted that kiss on him. I somehow suspct it'll be from that moment that they ditch the 'clueless' Sheldon and have him download the handbook to life. That may well make LDD  a landmark episode over and above the proposal. When themes have had their day, they do eventually drop them. The 4A living arrangement, creepy Howard, phobic Raj, airhead Penny, 'unique' Amy, virgin Shamy, and unfeeling Beverly have gone the way of all flesh. I daresay the broken lift, Mary's odd brand of religion, and poverty-stricken Stuart will fade away in time.

I certainly hope you're right. The 'clueless' Sheldon trope has been around long enough. It's always the excuse for his unacceptable statements and behaviors and I simply no longer find it believable.

The broken elevator is something I don't anticipate being repaired any time prior to the final episode. Mary's brand of religion is not at all odd among that particular stripe of Christianity. Yes, they make her a bit of a caricature, but what and how she believes is not nonrepresentational of a large segment of the American 'Bible belt'. Poverty stricken Stuart is essentially a 10 season long portrayal. His business is not prosperous though that could certainly change. 'Woe is me' Stuart, and 'creepy about Halley' Stuart I would like to see go away.  Same with the poverty stricken Raj. Yet, I fear this will drag on for a while as TBBT expands the Raj/Bert relationship. Much in the way they previously did with Stuart.

And, as a man obsessed with defining everything - and avoiding spontaneity - with contracts, a proposal doesn't come as a surprise.  Only the circumstances were a surprise.  That's why it's not as big a moment, for me, as - say - Buridan's Donkey.

Actually, despite Shipping Shamy hard, I'm going with Scavenger.

Well more I watch LDD. The more I dislike it. Just the hostility between the dynamics is in poor taste. Where as the dynamics in Scavenger were fresh. You had Leonard/Bernadette and Amy/Howard. It was probably the best group episode of all time from the series. Where as LDD, it was completely Sheldon Driven.

Yeah not happy about that :rtfm:. Who was voting for that episode? I mean most Shamys on this board, weren't a fan of the episode. I have to concede it was popular because it was a finalie. Despite being a very weak finalie imo.

Went Bath Item. Absolute classic from this series. Imo the series GOAT. A classic that we'll be played 20-30 years from now. Opening Night. It was good for it's time. But imo in the long run it's over hyped and overrated. The Shamy sex story was too cliched for me. B Story was okay. A Story in Bath Item was not so strong. If your not into the Lenny story. But it was Important in the long term of the series. First time Penny started to appreciate and love Leonard. And of course the iconic napkin scene. As it is On winning by a few right now. But early days.
