Attractive how? Penny was never seen going out with anyone (except Stuart) that would qualify as physically unattractive. They might not have of great character, or intelligence, but they were not unattractive. If you mean they never really gave her a relationship while Leonard had several I totally agree with you.

Leonard went out with Leslie and she wasn't winning any beauty contests. She's not unattractive but she's not a beautiful woman. Stephanie was a smart, and pretty woman who was a good match for Leonard. The whole Leophanie break-up was contrived and unbelievable. Priya was a smart and beautiful woman. She also was not very nice to Leonard and was clearly bothered by him not being Indian.

They were depicted as being dolts.

I see one major difference between Dave Underhill, Stuart, and Leonard. Both, Underhill and Stuart, were proactive in expressing their interest in Penny. Leonard was passive and I don't think that works for Penny.

Yeah that's true. So when around s5 Leonard became more proactive and forward with Penny. Penny mentioned how she likes this new side to Leonard. Penny also said she is a Big Ol 5. She intiates. But choose to slow things down with Leonard. I guess she's cared deeply for him. And was insecure around him. Opposed to Stuart and DU. And yes she separated the idea she of sex and relationships.

Of course Leonard was less passive at the end of Bath Item. When he bursts his way through her door haha.

I don't get why some are saying Penny didn't date attractive men. Zac wasent attractive? DU wasent attractive? And why does that matter. Priya was beautiful. But Leslie was normal looking by population average. Stephanie was beautiful but sizeable lol. So Penny was seen to not date anyone seriously on screen. So to preserve Lenny.

People are always focused on how bad the DU story was. Therefore  the B plot is weak. Based mostly on the fact Penny was a cow to Leonard. And don't get me wrong I disliked Pennys behaviour too. But I have to agree it was just Penny being Penny. Contary To conceived thoughts on the character of Penny, back then. While she could be sweet. She could also be dismissive and cold. I referenced a the Killer Robot Stability which I think was the episode after BI. And she teared Howard a new one lol. So in regards to DU. She would meet a hot guy. Who was proactive. And forward.

Mean while Leonard was being passive. And at that stage for week she made no indicator he wasn still interested romantically imo. Then eventually typical story the guy would turn out to Be a jackass. And let her down. Which led to huge character development for Penny. Realising the guys from across the hall would always be their for her. And first time she started to appreciate and love Leonard. So jmo, but ive always thought the B plot in Bath Item was one of the strongest in the series. Well tbh Lenny was the A plot. The B plot was Sheldon, Howard, Raj.

Well that was to be expected. That's the type of guy Penny would go for. "Dumb gym guy". Stuart was basically a substitute for Leonard.

Leonard would attract smart and beautiful woman. So I don't think think theirs anything wrong with that. Just Leonard and Penny clearly had different backgrounds and personalities. I don't think Penny in cannon dating Smart, Attractive men would make much sense. She did anyway. In DU. And he was a AHole.

There's nothing wrong with beautiful but sizeable.

I never said their was. I just was pointing out. It was well in cannon for Penny to date dumb gym guys first two seasons. And for Leonard we'll in s4 too. To attract smart, successful woman. But I don't think they portrayed Leonard's other partners as perfect.

Just call it a tie and let both episodes win the tournament.

Yeah agree, probably the series two most iconic episodes. But won't happen haha.

I don't know what sizeable means. I used to be a size 10 now I'm a size 30. Does that count ?

L: Compromise. Take 20.
S: In what sense is that a compromise?
L: Well, 20 is partway between 10 — Never mind.

Well tournament ends sometime today. Already Friday morning over in NZ. Adhesive Duck has currently a 7 vote lead over Bath Item.

This one was a tough one, since both are great, iconic episodes. Ultimately, I went with "The Adhesive Duck Deficiency."

Well, Adhesive Duck Deficiency won . While Bath Item has  one of Jim Parsons'  the most iconic performances in the show in the saturnalia miracle hug,  EVERY scene in the A plot of TADD will always be a comic masterpiece for me . When Sheldon tried to be "there " for Penny it was(and still is) a timeless awards worthy moment lol.
