Hello Stacy. I'm Joy for short. Joyce is my full first christian name. Raye is my middle name, short for Rhianwen or Rayemonde.

That is a pretty name. And hi Joy.

When Howardette were engaged the wedding was discussed a lot too.

Yes, that was the most talked about wedding in the show. Least talked was Lenny and Shamy will probably fall somewhere in the middle.

I'm waiting to see next week's episode to find out whether when Sheldon told his mother the wedding wouldn't be in a church he had discussed that with Amy or whether it was just what came off the top of his head.

Good morning/afternoon, evening :)

Well, Mayim stated that all summer she asked about Amy's answer. Even in the grocery store. They talked about how they were in exact costumes from the previous episode down to hair clip. Jim stated that they still didn't know where they were going to end up. Kaley, Johnny and Kunal talked about Raj still looking for love and trying to fit in as a mature adult. They talked about Howardette and  a new drama for them. And Johnny and Kaley said that they got to sit bcc ack and watch the drama unfold around them and eat cake.

Thanks so much for that! Geoblocking is pretty annoying in this side of the pound...

Neither Sheldon nor Amy are religious so it's a bit of a no-brainer that there won't be a church wedding, imho.

Good morning/evening/afternoon anyone! I really love this chat thread! I loved the chat too, but when I entered it, usually people have already been  talking for a while and I couldn't fit in, because there was no way to read the previous messages and the topics of conversations. In the thread there is not such a problem! So...happy we got some interviews, obviously geo-locked, but hopefully there will be a way for me to watch them!

Agree! Usually I could catch up with the chat and this thread is gold! Thanks so much, Mods!

Interesting question...I get the feeling that a Church wedding would not be on Amy's list either.

Apparently neither is, but they both got ordained so they could marry Howardette on the roof. In Frasier  Marty and his bride were married in a vet's surgery because Frasier had been ordained similarly at some point so I gather in the USA it's more of a flexible thing than it is  on our side of the pond.

Same here! Amy has a romantic side but it does not mean she wishes a church wedding.  Besides as @April said, shamy is not much into religious stuff so I had not ever expected that kind of wedding for them.

Lenny had a church wedding and neither of them seems particularly religious either.

Five minutes to chucking-out time and we haven't heard anything. :(

That doesn't make Howardette's or Daphne's and Niles's (whoever they are, never watched Frasier, LOL!) a church wedding. To be ordained in the USA it is enough to fill an application on the internet, not to believe in God. For sure when Sheldon said his mother there wouldn't have been a church wedding, he meant a wedding in a church, celebrated by a real pastor.

I would find it humerous if they showed Amy literally dragging Sheldon into a church. He would thow a fit. Lol

Yep. I just want to find out if it was his uni-lateral decision or if Amy had said so.

  • 2 weeks later...

The Chat Thread is now open for use, for the sixth taping, 03 October.

The thread will remain open until after we get any information about the taping.  If we still don't have any information by around 2 AM Eastern time (currently 0600 UTC), we will lock the thread.

We suggest that users treat a post, in this particular thread, as one line in the former Chat.   Of course you can quote, to answer a specific post, something that wasn't available in Chat.

The forum rules apply.   However, as individuals cannot be kicked out of, or banned from, a single thread, as they could in chat,  we have developed a different procedure to deal with unruly posters.

If several verbal warnings in the thread,  do not stop the poster from becoming unruly, that poster can be issued a Zero point Friendly Warning, the post leading to the warning being hidden, along with their future posts being put on Moderator Queue.   When on Moderator Queue, all of their posts(even in other threads) have to be approved by a moderator, before becoming visible.  Normally, those put on mod queue for chat violations, will be taken off Moderator Queue, when Chat is locked for the night.  However, for particularly egregious offenses, the Moderator Queue could be extended until Tripper and I have a chance to discuss it, usually the next day.

This is something new for us, and some things may change as we gain some experience with this type of chat.    If you think you have something that may make this better, please drop me a PM and we'll look it over.
