DrWackaDoodle
First solid episode of the season. Hubby and I laughed the entire episode. Bernadette's "I like drinking cranberry juice from a wine glass and watching people freak out"," (or something close to that) and Stuart's "the fungus is under the toenail!" had us in stitches. I liked Bernadette's new co-worker. Would love to see her become a recurring character. Next week looks cute too! It's very nice to see a nice balanced rotation of the A plot amongst the cast throughout the first four episodes. Have to wonder if that's the new show runner's influence? RoRo
I liked it! I think a little less time could have been spent on Sheldon's dreams and maybe a little more time on Bernie's coworker as a potential new character. I liked at the end how Sheldon gave up the wedding planning to Amy, promising to be there.
Jedichic98
We've been saying Sheldon has a hippie side, and now she has proof of it! The i love you was very sweet. I like that when Sheldon first walked in disheveled, Amy was too busy working to notice him at first. Amy can get "in the zone" like sheldon does and not just in the romantic fantasy way (as funny as that was in s7) I like that she approached the sheldon talking in his sleep clinically. complete with hypothesis and then experimentation with the recording. I've always imagined her scanning his brain with an EEG while he's sleeping, him waking up and just saying, "Amy...we talked about this." More science Amy please! djsurrey
I enjoyed it except for Raj and Stewart. The personality integration was a unexpected twist.
3ku11
A more Balanced, integrated plots and show? Well that would require the entire cast to be utilized. The first four episodes Lenny once again have been wallpaper. So yeah Moloro + Holland = Wheres Penny? lol. Next episode looks more promising for them. I mean it seemed literally every character had a plot in this episode. Other then Leonard and Penny. Particularly Leonard. Was he even needed? . I mean only sequence they had. Was Penny talking about her dreams. And she was like OH yeah I am dreaming about Being married to a great husband. She was clearly being fascious. But why? Does she have to pretend that? Surley that is a good thing. Once again throw away. As for this episode. Ehh I Really tried to like it. I am sorry I just diddn't. Their wasent anything wrong with the plot technically. I dont know the episode just bored me. Maybe if I Was in a different mood? I don't know. IT seemed very Sheldon focused. Boy did they even need Johnny that day lol? He barley had two lines. Penny was no better.. But least she had the honour of being graced by Sheldon's presence. In terms of Shamy. Ehh. I found them kinda bland. Amy seemed to return to forcing Sheldon to change his personality some what. Sheldon is who he is. The Raj/Stuart plot. Was humerous. But same old story with them. Both interested in a woman, and she is not lol. Them fighting over her. And Leonard was the voice of the reason, when he used common sense. Does she get a say? Heh. I don't know where they are going with Raj. Should Raj and Stuart move in together? I don't know. I don't think I care about Raj anymore. It does seem because Sheldon is the cataylst to most of the stories. So it does seem when it comes to Penny and Leonard. ONly way they seem important is if they are in isolated scenes with him. For example Penny's interaction with Sheldon in the laundry mat. If it wasen't for that plot. Penny would of been background most of the episode. I think I enjoyed last weeks episode alot more. Focus on all the guys. Leonard was the focus, and things were seen from his pov. This week he was basically background. And the episode seemed to flow by. And tbh I don't think I Could take away much from this episode, seemed more throwaway imo. I did think the Sheldon Personality Integration at the end of the episode, was a nice twist. But other then that, wasen't an inspired episode. Filler comes to mind. Probably vote okay. Edited October 10, 2017 by 3ku11
Shelldon
-Hope Sheldon can get his dinosaur dessert through. Typical girls judging without trying. -Why is Raj repeating biggest loser contest plotlines with the guy WHO HAD A DATE IN THE PREMIERE?! I mean seriously, they have to stalk down Bernadette in the middle of a private conversation even though Raj's relationship experience and Stuart's date scoring clearly show a capability past this stage. 5 seasons late with when this sitcom idea would've been understandably meshed in. -Sheldon has repressed indifference to apple jacks. Groundbreaking. -"Buy anything, get taken out for a reasonably priced dinner". Ok, as long as you make good on that promise with every customer. -Making friends with a seagull. You're one to talk Leonard, your wife seems like she wanted to say object from that dream conversation earlier. -Indian. Pale. HAHAHAHA SKIN TONES. Seriously, that newest video about Geek Masculinity describes it well. Why do these people bully and make fun of each other for not being something conventional? There is no self-worth to be had here. No group of real nerd friends really places this much stock in what "a real man should be". Maybe the series finale should be an actual big bang that knocks all life out of this show's universe. -Self is an illusion. Multiple centers of consciousness communicating with one another. Penny should be a psychology-philosophy major. -"He's allowed to live near them now". >_> No one's hitting it off because every conversation you've had with Richie (spelling?) has been about belittling someone she's been nice to. There is no way this girl can believably remain naive about what has not been a subtle conflict at all. Too many cues even before Stuart broke the news about Raj's plan. Will never understand why TBBT has such passive females. -The toupee licked his hand. Puddle of apple juice. -OK, so June wedding. End of Season 11? If it's the premiere of Season 12 after a ratings-grabbing cliffhanger, I know what I'll be using the cliff for too. -Council of Sheldon's. ....I think it needs new management. bfm
Okay that was mostly...boring! I only had some chuckles, no LOLs. Felt like a bad imitation of TBBT. Stuart and Raj fighting over a girl and act like jerks, Sheldon has his new adventure of the week but when without his signature ticks and hilarious facial and body movements, Leonard and Penny are reciting old jokes... Also, all of the women seem unhappy about their spouses, I know these are jokes but there was nothing to balance it, they just seem unhappy. It wasn't as bad with Shamy, Amy had good intentions and it ended well but there wwas a hint of this too and in combined with the other two and Raj and Stuart as creepy losers again that was just too much. That episode was borderline offensive to men. Also I didn't really understand Penny's joke about maybe having a Kartesian self in her twenties...I suppose she doesn't know what that means but what did she take from that that made her say this? I was just...huh?I hope future episodes are better, this is disappointing. Edited October 10, 2017 by bfm Merged

A sleep EEG wouldn't give her much though... Only the general areas active and sleep brain waves... An fMRI would give her much more detailed information, she did say she has one she uses as a bunk bed Maybe he'll wake up in it one day...

Jonny
I thought it was a good episode but boy was it dragged down by the Raj/Stuart storyline. This chasing any woman with a pulse and crossing boundaries (Bernie clearly wanted to get to know her new colleague which makes a TON of sense, but up rocked Raj and Stuart being creepy) is getting SO old. I thought @bfm made an interesting point that in a way it is kind of offensive to men and I didn't like the tropes or stereotypes it played to, honestly most of us single men really aren't like that at all. I know it's supposed to be comedy but I never found it comfortable or actually laughed at that storyline once, I just thought it was rather disturbing and stalkerish. Not a fan. I covered what I thought about the Shamy storyline in the Shamy thread I enjoyed a lot of aspects to it. It was a very Shamy storyline in that with Sheldon's personality, how he gets obsessed with things and Amy being a neuroscientist who would find it naturally fascinating lol! I thought Leonard and Penny had some good lines, always enjoy an old school Sheldon and Penny laundry room interaction and Penny who is life smart (which Sheldon has often said about her and to her) offering some advice. Overall thought it was good but the Raj/Stuart storyline dragged it down.
Itwasdestined
Just had an “actors dialling it in” tone to it, this one. Just felt a lack of energy, especially from Jim until the flip flop story near the end, from most of the actors. Bernie was funny enough, liked the last Shamy scene, a couple of jokes here and there, the tag had potential, but I just couldn’t get into it tonight. Raj more than Stuart annoyed the shit out of me. I like more episodes than most on this forum cos I don’t get hung up on bias against different characters or repetition or “canon” but once or twice a season I just feel no energy from the actors in an episode. This was one of those for me tonight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I get that feeling too when I see the show now, last night Penny obviously lying about having dreams about her husband seems to support that feeling too. It would be nice if we got an episode or two during a season that actually showed that the girls are happily married and I’m hoping next weeks episode with Lenny gives us something. JE7
A decent episode if you skip the waste of screen time that was the Raj-Stuart plot lennie was just kinda there but they had a few good lines and no conflict so i call that a win. The Shamy plot was funny and The best part of the episode was sheldons story at the end I actually laughed out loud at Sheldon, something i havent done in a long time and the tag was a cute bit of fluff. I really enjoyed sheldon this week and that in itself makes this a episode worth rewatching and gives me hope for the rest of the season Edited October 10, 2017 by JE7

Wasn't watching as much as a shipper and it was funnier with lowered expectations. If that makes any sense. Bernie was hilarious," superfrikindipity!" Leonard was funny in his dry way - "If you want me to object to the wedding, give me one of these."Thought the Sheldon-Amy story was clever and funny. HeWolf
A 'Star Wars' fan like Sheldon would never have misquoted the line from 'Empire Strikes Back.' More bad writing... I actually liked the episode apart from the Raj/Stuart story line, and a few of the Sheldon parts. Worst of which was that bit about being a white James Earl Jones. Sheldon has made silly comments before concerning the tone and timbre of his voice, but that one was really dumb. Overall, not a bad episode. Shelldon
This sums up the toxic pit of Raj/Stuart. Without shippings (and lol what a weird show to look for romance from with so little love between the cast) most of this forum would've peace'd out from Two and a Half Men 2.
