Most of “Itchy Sweater” for instance - and a lot of other things at other times. But I think people object to the stuff they have to explain to their pre-adolescent family members. I’m guessing that’s the criterion here for “objectionable”,  though I could be wrong.

Another (local) channel that shows TBBT also airs the edited, non sperm bank, version.

There are aspects to other shows airing on TBS that far exceed any objectionable content in the sperm bank scene, so I don't know why they have edited it out. Maybe for time.

Yeah, this scene was cut from the syndicated prints. I don't think it has anything to do with the content, but rather the fact that most pilots run longer than typical episodes. TV series continue to get shorter, while more commercials are crammed-in. There are countless examples of other "cut" scenes from TBBT in syndication. While most edits are to lines of dialogue, "The Fuzzy Boots Corollary" always loses the scene of the guys going to the dance class with Wolowitz.

Over here the series when they play the pilot. Always opens with the Sperm Bank scene. It doesen't over in the states? On Netflix which has all ten seasons. IT starts with the Sperm Bank. 

NZ on TVNZ just recently showed the episode The Fuzzy Boots Corollary. And it showed the very funny dance class scene with Wolowitz.

I find it interesting that TBBT is on Netflix in NZ. TBS has exclusive cable syndication rights in the U.S., so they can't be streamed on Netflix over here. It'll be interesting to see what other stations/streaming services swoop in on the series in future years, if/when TBS' current deal is up. TBS used to be the sole home to Friends, and while it still airs it, Viacom now airs it on Nick at Nite, Spike TV, etc. However, I think TBS maintains the daytime rights, while Viacom can broadcast it in the evening/late-night hours. This will inevitably happen to TBBT in the future.

Oh no should of clarified. I use a VP Blocker and watch TBBT on UK Netflix lol. IT is not on NZ netflix. Because like you said the exclusive rights. US netflix obviousley has Friends. So maybe after TBBT ends the series might be on Netflix over in the states.

Here TBBT runs on a channel with no commercials and on a VOD service (seasons 1-8, the rights for later and new episodes belong to the other TV company, the one that has the channel). These parts were not cut, nor was the sez dungeon, gerard or whatever else was deemed inappropriate and cut by other stations.

TBS may have the exclusive 'cable' syndication rights, but there are episodes which are also broadcast night;y on over the air channels. I don't recall ever seeing the pilot on the over the air channel, thus I cannot say they edit out the sperm bank scene. The biggest difference I have noticed is that TBS airs the episodes pretty much in order, while the over the air channel runs two different seasons simultaneously. They show two per episodes per night, back-to-back, but from different seasons. To see the next episodes from the respective seasons, you have to watch the next night, and so on...

When I watched one of the sneak peeks for episode 11.03 I noticed where some of the wall pictures from Penny's old bedroom in 4B have landed. On the fourth wall in apartment 4A. Oh, and obviously they have duplicated the Lenny pictures from the fridge. Look closely at the boards above Penny's desk.

You keep harping on just TBBT losing audience, when all shows are losing audience.    But, I'd much rather have TBBT audience, a full point higher than the closest comedy, than say Modern Family, which finished this week under a 2.0.   All of broadcast TV is losing audience.  What is surprising, is that after 11 years, TBBT is still the number one entertainment show.

I don't watch those other shows (except Young Sheldon and that was just 1) so other shows ratings are meaningless to me. Does a major league baseball player compare themselves to little league player? I mean they both place baseball  so with that logic you should compare Kris Bryant of the Cubs to a 12 year old.

That doesn't change the fact overall audience numbers are down, and have been down double digits each of the last ten years.  Less people watching overall, means less people watching the show.  And, just because they are meaningless to you, doesn't invalidate the comparison.   Two years ago, TBBT was the second highest rated entertainment show.  Last year, it was the highest rated entertainment show.  So far, this year, it's the number one rated entertainment show.  If it's actually increase compared to other shows, and maintained compared to other shows, it's not in free fall.

Your analogy is faulty.    A comparion between Bryant and a 12 year old would be a comparison between TBBT and a high school TV production, which isn't happening.   Those other shows are on major networks, in primetime, just like TBBT is.  All of those shows are in the "Major Leagues"

That's your logic, and, as all the shows are on major networks, in prime time, it's faulty.   If you want to stick with baseball, it would be a comparison of all players, all of whom have declining skills.   But, whoever declines at or less than the average amount of decline, ends up as better players than the others.  This is what has happened with TBBT.  It's declined less than right at the average decline, over the last few years.  I don't disagree the ratings are going down, but they are far from in free fall.

All of those shows are heavily promoted, network backed, headliners. TBBT is losing audience share, no arguing that fact. But, it is still out performing every other entertainment program the other networks, and CBS, put on.

TBBT is not what it used to be. At least, I don't think so. I would still watch it any day over anything else on network television.

I agree with this. My baseball comparison was out of whack. I don't get the comparisons in ratings and the heavy promotions of others shows. That to me means nothing.

Some comparisons are relevant, others are not. What I believe it boils down to is if we still like it or not. It is not even relevant to compare it to other shows because even that is not mutually exclusive, since we can watch more than one show. The only relevant question, to me at least is: Do I still want to watch it (for whatever reason)? Everything else is just window dressing.

Well Ratings well determine it's continued shelf life. TBBT reguarly wins its timeslot. You can't watch it if the Ratings suddenly decline. And the show suddenly becomes way too expensive to produce. Particularly if their is no longer a profit in it. Let' be honest the writers don't care about this show anymore. You just have to see them constantly goofing off on their IG Stories too see that. Accuse me of over exagerrating. And before anyone tells me oh they are allowed to have fun. Too much if you ask me. Every time I see a IG story from Alex Ayers. The comment is "A Break". When are they not having a break lol.

 Its is a constant thing. A two year renewal has clearly made the writers even more complacenet. Continue to be in Air Pilot Motion. So they are less prone to take more risks and be more bolder. Hence why were getting so many recycled stories.
