I get that. But wouldn't be better to write stories about the guy your paying $900,000 than Bert?

Absolutely! And in the Dark Lenny thread I expressed my disinterest in Bert stories.

My personal view is that TBBT needs a complete shakeup of the writing crew. Bring in fresh minds. Get some stories that break the molds established over the past 3+ seasons. The Amy mothers Sheldon; Bernadette mothers Howard; Lenny are fighting and: Raj and Stuart are pathetic plots have been done to death.

Maybe they could hire the writers from 'Scorpion'. Talk about a bunch of people with wild imaginations.... Why, in this season alone they have saved humanity from global extinction and created an artificial womb for an unborn deer using a plastic jeep window, some saline solution and a portable heater. :girlcrazy:

Completely agree, fire them all and start out fresh, maybe with a few writers who have written sitcoms about happily married people because these writers don’t have a clue.

The thread is now open again.

When people take time out of their day to provide information on a taping they attended, in what was probably an enjoyable experience for them, it would be nice if they weren't subject to criticism for not fulfilling some imagined entitlement to a long summary. Especially when it often only seems to fuel round after round of disparagement which has little to do with the episodes in question.

We should be happy when people wish to share what they know for the benefit of other fans because they really don't have to. It would be unfortunate for those of us who still take pleasure from reading about what's happening in upcoming episodes to lose this because people who've enjoyed seeing a taping don't want the grief or the negativity on here.

From TBBT You Tube Channel...

From the promo:

Leonard to Penny: "Let's be clear: I married you to hurt her."

Could he possibly say anything more insulting and demeaning to his wife? He didn't marry Penny because he loved her? Instead, it was in order to hurt his mother? So, he's saying he married the uneducated, under achieving waitress to intentionally disappoint his mother?

Yes, I realize this is meant to be another of those throw-away lines that the writers love so much, but maybe they should think about some of them... smh

48 million base salary reasons why my concerns are pretty low for Johnny or any of the actors. He knew what he signed on for and was happy enough to commit (none of us know if he wasn't happy or voiced any concerns to the powers that be - be has committed).

There have been 3 episodes aired right? Episode 1 had a Shamy/Howardette balance, Episode 2 was a heavy Leonard episode with his actions dictating the story and him coming to terms with it. Episode 3 was a Shamy/Raj/Stuart/Bernie epiosde. Episode 4 looking at the sneak peaks is a heavy Penny/Lenny episode dealing with Penny's relationship with his mother and his jealousy and a Howard/Sheldon storyline.

4 episodes will have been shown by next week with 2 of them focusing on Leonard/Penny/Lenny. I think that's not bad, in fact it shows a diverse set of storylines and focus by Holland so far.

I don't agree with your classification of the episodes. However, I'm not really concerned about Kaley or Johnny. I'm increasingly concerned about my diminishing enjoyment of the show due to lack of quality Lenny stories.

Thank you for reminding me of that! Scorpion has become more of a comedy show than TBBT.

Its like explaining poverty to a rich person. Some just don't get it. Tensor's character time screen thread kind of puts things in perspective.

To be honest, do the writers really thinks that insulting your wife is funny. I have a really hard time laughing at jokes like this and this goes for all couples not just Lenny.

I take it as "I subconciously married you to hurt her", like his comment in "The Maternal Capacitance" when he said they were hooking up out of anger towards their parents. Of course the writers could easily "fix" this, I actually wrote how on the Dark thread, but they don't realize that people think about the meaning and consequences of the lines...

Has someone been complaining ? Where in the world would anybody get the idea that a stranger who's saved up for years to travel to an event has done so specially for the purpose of relating the experience in detail to all and sundry ? If anybody out of the kindness of their heart pauses in their hard-earned vacation time to write about an episode they've seen of a TV show for the sake of unknown others enjoying it a few weeks ahead of time, then GRATITUDE and APPRECIATION are the order of the day, not grumpiness. I'm sure most of us are thankful for every snippet. Of course we like the reports where every line is remembered and given in detail. They're useful because we learn what's been missed out and what the alternative scenes might have been, and we can speculate on lines before they're edited to mean something different. Yes, that's fun. I love extended and detailed spoilers and sharing in the excitement and enjoyment of someone who was there. That doesn't mean we should feel automatically entitled to moan when there's nobody with the time, opportunity or inclination to provide more than a few words. My guess is most of us here are sincere when we thank anyone who provides even a little spoiler.

Like most people here in the forum, I am pleased about every taping-news. Irrespective of the quantity and the generous people who communicate them.
I made a snarky reference to the term "report" who may also have caused the interruption of this thread.
That was meant as a reminder to some members, who develop virtual scenarios from only a few sentences and build a new "discussion material" to the respective preferences.
I wasn't expected that this would actually lead to a dispute. Well, I should have known better. :shy:
My honest apology.

Well I don't see how their is balance to the stories, in the regards to Quality Lenny stories. And saying its not that bad. Well I beg to differ. Its been horrendous since 6x24 :taunt:. If you a Lenny Shipper.

As for Leonards like "Let's be clear, I married you to hurt her". Well I understand some being bothered by that line. IT doesen't give you all the feels LOL. But I agree with BFM. I see it as a more subconicous thing to Season 2 The Maternal Capicitance. "I subconciously married you to hurt hurt her". Like when they hooked up in S2 out of anger towards their parents. Of course I agree they could of worded it in a way to make it more accurate, or funny. But the writers clearly think these throw away lines are funny and mean nothing. As they are attracting a more casual audience. But they really need to think about what they are saying. People are invested in these characters, for over a decade now. Even a twitch some of us well notice a difference hahaha.

As for the recent taping. Well I diddn't see any mention of Leonard, or Leonard and Penny. So it seems no different for them then the last few seasons. They are a supporting role.

I am very honest when I say I am very grateful for every spoiler provided here, for tiniest it might be or not be about my favourite characters. For much I thank these generous fans,  unfortunatelly I won't ever have the chance of generously give them back the favour as I can't for several reasons attend a taping. These nice  people have helped us to wait for next episode every week with a good background about what we could or might expect and that is so great! The others shows I follow many times kill me of suspense as I dont have spoilers about next episode or season. With tbbt has been different for better as I have so much fun as I share here with everyone what are our thoughts about the spoilers from each taping.

To those who had provided spoilers, thank you so much! From the bottom of my heart :)

I'm late to the "party", too. And I don't understand why there were complaints to the people who provided the details, they don't write the show.   WTF ???!!!

The bold part, thank you for saying this. People should always remember this before reading the taping report.
