So you don't even know what happened in the season but somehow think they have Sheldon barging into 4A or clinging to the place or whatever? Spoiler for you then: He doesn't. Like, really. He's mostly only in 4A when it's a social gathering of some sorts with the gang, then maybe one or two times outside of that, like that one time he's on meds and they find him on the couch. But even then it's not like Lenny had a plot there that he interrupted.

The thing is: Sheldon doesn't need Lenny to get stories or laughs or attention. The other way around though... well...

He has spineless Amy to kiss his ass now.

I'm not sure what you mean. I watch lots of reruns of shows that are off the air. It doesn't mean I don't still like to watch them or watch favorite eps when I can. And there's a difference between not caring for some of the things they do and not liking anything they do. I think the show has gone down hill a lot and I wish it had ended last year but there's still some things I like. Yes, if I didn't like anything I'd have left and gone back to the reruns of eps I do like (I did that with Two and A Half Men) but I do like some things still on TBBTand I say when I do. But I'm also going  to say when I don't like something. A forum usually doesn't require all comments be positive.

I agree with the last sentence and have made comments on episodes I did not like. I may well watch early season episodes again some day. That was not my point. I have made a clarification in another post.  Oh wait. It was the clarification you quoted. Let me put it a different way. I fully expect some great future episodes. I was actually debating with myself around season six if I would keep watching and have not done that in a long time.

  • Most of the horn dog crap is gone and I like that!
  • The Council of Sheldon's was inspired.
  • I want to see some references to The Last Jedi and to Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency (it Stars Elijah Wood and has on location shots in my community...). Yes I like the fantasy references too.
  • Looking forward to seeing Bob Newhart again and more great guest stars.
  • The cast and crew have been supportive of STEM education. I believe in that and have been involved in technology related education for the last 30 years. Got hooked by broadcasts of Apollo missions when I was a kid. Developed a fascination with electronics and computer technology...
  • There is nothing else like TBBT on TV!

I would like TBBT to continue and come on here to get more of it, and see what is coming up. Don't need a forum just to watch reruns.

Yeah using sheldon as a catalyst to take the piss out of people who have issues is funny and hiding behind, it's a comedy and he is not diagnosed. Then keep laughing. We are back to sheldon pissing off lenny, then bert. Yeah, really original.

That might work. But I seriously don't want or need any more babies on the show. Two (that we don't see) are enough. Several cast members have stated that they don't like to work with babies or don't want to. Since most people bring up Lenny when this comes up, Penny and Leonard have not responded enthusiastically when babies are mentioned that I can remember. The comment about Leonard being sure Penny won't leave comes to mind. Bernadette leaving a baby book at their house and them picking it up and mentioning Sheldon doesn't for sure mean they are thinking about having kids. I'll know when they see the ep. But most of all I can't see these writers doing it without a ton of jokes about how Penny can't drink any more wine or about her getting fat. I don't trust them to do it well any farther than I can throw the lot of them and I just don't want to see that. That is my main problem with the idea.

If Penny gives birth in the Final Epsidoe there would be no more babies on the show! That why I said the Final Episode.

TV is not in such a slump that Big Bang Theory can be considered golden programming. TBBT does not even crack top 30 shows currently airing.

Having said that, I'm glad Ruchi is recurring. Maybe Raj can slowly learn about a girl while she's off the market, and then they can get together by end of Season 11.

You follow 30+ shows currently airing?

Looks to me like the demographics are not good for broadcast TV. Streaming services offer a lot of advantages. Like being able to watch when one wants to.

I think, if anything, there could be an apartment switch.  I could see them going back to Penny's career issues. They need a cheaper place so she can return to acting so Shamy take 4a and Lenny 4b.  They almost had to move Shamy into 4b to write the next phase of the Sheldon character growth and make it plausible.

Oh, that's really interesting.

And they could always live in Amy's apartment.

It's too far from Sheldon's stuff.

If I thought it should have ended in season 7 I would stop watching and I certainly would not be going to a forum of a show I no longer care for.

Agreed.  Same here.

I may have said TBBT has been in decline for the last couple seasons but even I can't deny that The show has Finish in the Topp 3 of all TV Shows at the end of every Season for the last 5 Seasons now! It finishes season 10 at Number 2. It still usually one of the most watched shows of the week and almost always wins the night.  the fact is despite the show being in decline it finishes last 3 Season right near the top. The show has finished in the top  20 for  8 of it last 10 seasons.

He can be but sometimes I don't think he always realizes what he says can hurt. But sometimes I think it intentionally. Maybe Mary Cooper should have gotten a second opinion.

I remember a couple seasons ago when Sheldon and Amy were broken up and Sheldon told Amy they needed to get back together to have Children before her Eggs dried up and that why she needed to have them now before her reproductive system top working and said there was a 'sell by date'. People ' actually thought that was romantic that he was worried about her Reproductive System!

I didn't get it because telling a Women her Eggs will soon dry up and that she needs to have Children right soon before her Reproductive Years end is wrong and sexist. If a Man said that to women in my Family they would have to be carried out on a stretcher!

That was the very reason Amy broke up with him and rightfully so. I cheered her on. Go Amy!

45 right now to be precise. A large portion animated. But there are 19 live action I'm invested in. I guess BBT makes top 20 by default in that category.

Big Bang Theory

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend

Degrassi: Next Class

The Walking Dead/Talking Dead

Survivor

The Amazing Race

Better Call Saul/Talking Saul

The Last Man On Earth

Big Brother

You're The Worst

Angie Tribeca

Doctor Who

Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency

Search Party

Raven's Home

I Am Frankie

Catfish: TV Show

It may be inconsiderate to say it, but it's not wrong, because it's a fact that a woman's reproductive years are far more limited than are a man's.

Likewise, it's not sexist, because it's a fact of female biology.

No, it is wrong to say that to a Women no matter what period! Even if true you should never ever say such things to a Women! It is wrong and rude. Also insensitive and again it sexist thing to say. It not right.

I agreed it was inconsiderate.

Because violence is the correct response, to someone you don't agree with.

Many of those I don't know and others I'd never watch and in general don't have that much time for TV. On the other hand I have watched Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency season one three times (it is only eight 1 hour episodes).

That's what made it funny. I put my foot in my mouth a lot but cripes I never jam it down my throat that far (my daughters may disagree; I get that look that I have said the wrong thing too often) .

Wish I could but in Canada we have to wait until it airs on Netflix. December I 'm guessing.  No BBC America on my cable.

Ratings are subjective. They don't equal quality. Just because TBBT does well in demo and viewership. Does not mean it is up their quality wise currently. Maybe in 2009. I Would say it was a Top Ten show. Have to agree currently would not be top 30 for me, but that is just my point of view.

Of course I understand if your glad the show went on post Season 7. On some level I am too. For this forum still continuing. But of course if the show did end in Season 7. This forum may not still be going, so that is passe anyway.

I do think Sheldon needs Leonard and Penny, as much as they need him. Sheldon has not been funny, or had any decent stories in years. So I don't buy this logic anyway.

If were talking correcting someone you don't agree with. Sheldon already did that with Penny Seasoon 3 with Chocolate. Back in S2 Howard drugged Sheldon. Amy has drugged Sheldon. I found it hilarous. But that is just me. If you can find anyway to manage Sheldon, I am glad the show takes it.

You hope they don't conceive? Well that is unavoidable. It is inevitable that Lenny well prob get pregnant before series end. Season 12 well prob as far as Lenny goes. A Story Arch for them trying to get pregnant.

As far as signs this season. Penny had Bernadette's book. And now Lenny have a parenting book, which is skewed to Sheldon. But they have always written Sheldon as a big baby in regards to Lenny. So they could be planting the seeds in regards to a possible Penny Pregnancy scare in the Season 11 Finalie.

Exactly my thinking!

You are exactly right, it is inappropriate to say that to a woman. It sent Amy over the edge and she said done, over. Good for her. However, (IMO) Sheldon was hurting and somewhat desperate. He does not do change well and he reacted.
